I had a cornea transplant on my left eye 14 years ago by Dr. Pamel. Although the recovery was more painful than I expected, 14 years later I’m grateful to still have a healthy transplant.I also had cross linking done 6 years ago on my right eye which wasn’t as invasive. He’s amazing!!!

I had lens implant surgery on both of my eyes this year with Dr. Pamel and his team and it could not have gone smoother. Dr. Pamel made the surgery feel seamless and straightforward, and I am eternally grateful.Ive had glasses since I was 4 with an extremely high prescription and Dr. Pamel made it possible that I can now see without contacts or glasses; feels like a miracle, I highly recommend!

Initially, my first appt with Dr Pamel was a good experience until during the eye test the assistant told me it was no charge because of my insurance, and 20 min later I was charged $85 for the test. Pamel would not refund me until the claim had been paid even though my ins called them the day after the appt and said I should not have been charged. Calling a month later to get the refund my call was answered with Drs office. I asked if it was Dr Pamels office and I got a ya for an answer. I asked for the office mgr, we dont have one right now...what do you want? Ok, thinking refund I asked for the accounts person and was then hung up on. The callback...well, lets just say that Chloes attitude kept going down hill from there. Stating that perhaps she was having a bad day because she was being completely unprofessional with the call. Chloe went off, talking over me with voice raised, literally challenging me as I stated she was again being unprofessional. Then she hung up on me. Dr Pamel, if you want your customers to stay perhaps a good housecleaning is in order. Mishandling of charges and unprofessional staff says it all.

I was referred to see Dr. Pamel by my optometrist as I had really bad cataracts. I was very pleased with how my visit went with Dr. Pamel. The staff are friendly and ensure that you get all information prior to and after any procedures. Dr. Pamel is very patient, informative and really care about his patients.I had lens surgery done on both eyes about 2 weeks ago and so far everything is going great. The follow-up process with Dr. Butler has also been reassuring to me that I am healing well. Ashley is the best!I will highly recommend Dr. Pamel and his staff to anyone who has to have this procedure done as my entire experience has been satisfying. I feel like a new person with my renewed vision.

Dr. Pamel performed my LASIK surgery 6wks ago and the results were incredible. I’ve experienced no issues whatsoever. All of his staff went out of their way to make me comfortable as I was quite anxious about the procedure, they cheered me on the day of and are always genuine in their excitement for me and my new vision when I see them at my follow up appointments.I highly recommend Dr. Pamel and his team for LASIK.

I hardly ever write reviews but I was just so impressed about the whole experience. Verisyse surgery isnt your typical eye correction procedure so I was quite worried going in. Dr. Pamel and his team were amazing throughout the whole process by answering all my questions no matter how tedious it might be.They give straight answers and tell you exactly what to expect after the procedure is done. Ashley their Surgical Coordinator was hands down the best on his staff. She made everything a breeze. Whenever I had any questions she answered them promptly. Dr. Pamel is an amazing surgeon, I was in and out of surgery before I knew it. I had one eye done so far but I can see the vast difference in my vision. I am excited to get the other eye done. I would highly recommend Pamel Vision & Laser Group if you want professionalism and have peace of mind doing any procedure.

I was impressed when Dr. Pamel got back to me by cell phoneto address some of these anxieties before I even signed on with him. The step-by-stepprocess of eye exams and checkups before, during, and after surgery also gave meconfidence that I was in good hands.Dr. Pamel has a great bedside manner, but at the same time, a serious professional. I alwaysarrived at appointments with a list of questions, which he always found time to answer. Dr Pamel and his knowledgeable and proficient team made getting laser eye surgery the most pleasant experience possible. Dr Pamel and his team ran as a well oiled machine. I was in and out of the doctors office within minutes. Every member of his staff from the receptionist to the technicians were polished professionals. The surgery was a breeze; Dr Pamel made me feel very comfortable and answered any and all questions I had throughout the surgical process. This amazing, revolutionary surgery took only 30 minutes from start to finish. The staff hailed a cab for me after morning surgery, and made sure I arrived to my hotel safely. I took a nap, went back to the doctors office later that afternoon and by the end of the day I was shopping in Bloomingdales. As a member of the KIA Speedskating Academy hoping to represent the USA in the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics I know the importance of having perfect vision, as having a contact fall out in the middle of a race can potentially make the difference between a podium finish or not. Dr Pamel and his team made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my whole surgical experience. Now thanks to Pamel Vision & Laser Group I have better then perfect vision, I have 20/15! vision.

Dr Pamel did my lasik surgery in 2009. It was a quick procedure and I was back to work as a newspaper photographer 3 days after. Ill always be thankful for the great job that he did on my eyes. I have been living abroad and traveling the world as a photojournalist the past few years, with perfect sight thanks to him. Every eye doctor that Ive seen remarks on the amazing job that he did. I am horrified at the outcome of my surgery performed by Dr. Gregory Pamel. On May 23, 2019 he re positioned a lens in my eye which resulted in it being titled and caused a retina detachment. It was a poor judgement call for him to perform this type of surgery on a patient with an extremely long eye (extremely myopic). In addition to my injury he lied about the placement of my lens; he did not tell me that I had a detached retina. He sent me back to New York Eye & Ear Infirmary for them to correct the damage that he had done. Im very unhappy because I feel that he hurt me intentionally and was not honest about it. I trusted his professional expertise but it was not extended toward me as a patient. :(

I just got LASIK done and it was a great decision. Dr. Pamel and his staff did an amazing job! They were efficient and friendly and went above and beyond to make my visits and surgery as comfortable as possible. I would recommend Pamel Vision & Laser Group to anyone and everyone. This practice is ridiculous. There is extended wait times for mediocre service . Dr butler throws an attitude towards patients and is not professional.Everyone from the front desk to the back office is completely unprofessional and rude. Absolutely do not come here unless you want to waste your time.This office also bills the patient for services that is in-fact covered by insurance. This place in it of itself is complete fraud. And this has been confirmed from the practice of the own staff.

For the first time in months, I can see clearly out of both eyes. Its such a relief! Dr Pamel and his team were terrific. They were friendly, efficient and effective. I recommend them highly.

I am greatly appreciative that Ashley has been incredibly helpful in every way for the cataract surgery done by Dr. Pamel. She is professional and compassionate and I thank Ashley for taking such good care of me.

Had my lasik surgery with Dr. Pamel a month and a half ago! Great results! 20/20!! No contacts or glasses needed!I have been wearing glasses since I was 12 and contacts since I was 16. I am 26 now and getting lasik was one of the best decisions Ive ever made!I was referred to Dr. Pamel by a friend. He is an amazing doctor! And the staff is very friendly and helpful!

I am a member of the 2012 Long Track Sprint National Team training in hopes of representing the United States in the 2014 Winter Olympics. I had the opportunity to come out to New York to Pamel Vision and LASIK Group to receive the LASIK procedure and am SO THANKFUL for that. Dr. Pamel and the rest of his team are World Class at what they do. It is now the day after surgery and already, my vision is 20/20. Like most, I was a little anxious before the procedure but the staff did such a great job at explaining each step of the process to make me feel at home. I got my LASIK procedure done yesterday! I can already see 20/20 and its expected to improve even more in the next few days!! Dr. Pamel and the staff at Pamel Vision & Laser Group made the whole process quick and stress free. I was very anxious and nervous the day of the surgery, but it went by so fast and within a few hours afterwards I already had perfect vision. I am truly grateful for my new eyes and I know this is the first day of the rest of my life. I am a 2010 Olympian training for the next winter Olympics and I believe having lasik done will help me get there. I had my LASIK procedure done by Dr. Pamel about 3 months ago and it has been by far one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You can’t put a price on the convenience of just waking up in the morning and being able to see perfectly. No more glasses and especially no more annoyance from contacts which were getting more and more unbearable for me. Dr. Pamel is consistently regarded as one of the best surgeons in the field and after doing extensive research on other practices, I knew I made the best choice of putting my eyes in his care. I now have 20/15 vision (20/400 before surgery), along with the second most important outcome: no side effects. I was very worried about long-term dry eyes and night-time vision problems which have made many people regret getting LASIK done in the first place. Dr. Pamel and his staff do multiple thorough pre-op exams to ensure the best possible outcome. He was very blunt and did a great job explaining the probability of a successful outcome and the potential risks for my particular eyes. It goes without saying that only the latest technology is used to perform the procedure, with all aspects custom-tailored to your specific eyes. I got the sense that Dr. Pamel genuinely cares about your well being and wasn’t desperate for my business as other practices seemed, which made me feel comfortable. His staff before, during, and after surgery were wonderful and very accommodating (they scheduled a Friday evening procedure just so I wouldn’t miss any work). I highly recommend anyone who is interested in the procedure to at least consult with Dr. Pamel, you will not regret your decision!
