I really wanted to like this place because of all the good reviews. But I’ve come here twice already in a matter of 2 months for different things and so far I leave disappointed each time. My first appointment was for a routine cleaning and exam. I just moved to NY from TN and I have always kept up with my dental cleanings. I arrive for my first appointment, I was never made aware prior to arriving that this facility “absolutely needed imaging” of my teeth. I’m in the military and have had different dentists over the years and I get imaging regularly with insurance, and just had full imaging done at my previous dentist 6 months ago. Had they told me this was required I would have brought in my images or coordinated with my old dentist to get this sent to them. Instead I had to pay out of pocket for x-rays since my insurance only covers certain imaging once a year. I pay $50 upfront for the x-rays and by the end of the appointment, the front desk lady tells me she under charged me. So what should have been a covered visit, ended up costing me $80. Fine— not a big deal.Next, I decided I wanted sealants. I scheduled this appointment. I was given a fee schedule and quote, since this is not covered under my insurance. I was quoted ~$50 per tooth, and I was getting 6 teeth sealed. So I was expecting to pay ~$300. I get to the appointment, she charges my card for $283 before we start, and I don’t think twice about the math because it looked similar to the quote I was given at my last appointment. 20 min later, I am all done and ready to walk out and the front desk lady stops me and tells me that she under charged me. Again. She tries to explain something about my insurance and how they didn’t know the exact scheduling fee or cost and so it’s actually $75 per tooth, now costing a total of $450.At this point, this is the second time I’ve been quoted 2 different things and have been “undercharged.” I asked them, why was this not brought to my attention before my appointment and why is this the second time “a mistake has been made.” They say they called me to confirm my appointment and discuss the treatment plan, I never received a call, only texts, and my email address is on file— they could simply send an email with the treatment plan and appropriate costs and give me a chance to decide if I want to pay the extra costs.To be honest, before joining the military, I actually worked at a dental office and handled insurance and quotes and appointments for patients— so I understand how this is supposed to operate. I never once misquoted someone or “undercharged” them. It was very transparent with each insurance (including the one I have now) what the scheduling fees were and what was not going to be covered and I always made sure that if a customer was going to end up paying more for a service (maybe a particular procedure was left out of the quote), I would call or email them in advance before their appointment to get their approval. Nothing is worst than making a customer think they are paying a certain amount for a service and end up paying more on the spot with no notice. Especially when dental procedures can be quite expensive.I gave this place 2 stars because the dentist and hygienists are nice and professional. But as far as payment and treatment plans, I couldn’t give these people more than 2 stars. I’ve been to many dental offices, worked in one before, and this unfortunately has been my worst experience.

Today was my 2 appointment at Thyme Dental Care.The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Dr Flores is patient and very understanding. I have some cavities and Dr Flores came up with a treatment plan and thoroughly explained very step. I had my first filling today and the next week the second one and Im so satisfied with the work done today.I Highly recommend Thyme Dental Care there the best in Mahattan.

Best dental experience Ive ever had. Dr. Andrew is friendly, explains the process behind what hes doing, teaches you how you can do preventative care and feel better without just telling you to floss more. Never had more attention paid to my comfort either. Cant recommend enough.

I have brought my daughter to relief her toothacke, I live 2 blocks away from 57 street midtwown Mnahattan near this clinic. They said insurance will cover, however I end up paying 250 usd and they charge my credit card before the have done the work to be sure they will get their money.Payment was not the problem, we left and the next day my daughter had more pain, we went to the emergnecy and they fix it immediatly.Do not spend ypur money in this clinic and I an sorry I do not recommend this place in midtwown Mnahattan

My mom had a tooth emergency and Dr. Flores very kindly squeezed her into his busy day to see her. He gave her different options on how we can fix her teeth. We appreciate how thorough he was with explaining each option. What we liked most about Dr. Flores is that he truly cares about his patient’s wellbeing—My mom’s previous dentist did not discuss other options with her, nor checked her other teeth that might’ve caused the issue (something Dr. Flores spent time on!).If you want a dentist who truly cares, DR. FLORES IS YOUR GO-TO! 🦷Also, the office is very clean which is extremely important given that we are in a pandemic. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Flores and Thyme Dental Care!

Great experience, form start to finish. Friendly staff, warm and kind hygienist and dentist who clearly know what they are doing and manage to have gentle hands and deft touch. Comfort is key, from numbing options to comfortable chairs, and rooms outfitted with tvs tuned to your channel/show of choice. They have all the billing mapped out ahead of time so you know what you are getting into with procedures ahead of time, no surprises so far. And they dont push you to do anything you are not ready or wanting to. Overall, great experience and highly recommended.

I actually found Thyme through Zocdoc on the fly during a dental emergency and decided immediately during my appointment with Dr. Flores that I found my new dentist. I broke one of my front tooth a couple of weeks ago and may my appointment. I arrived a half hour early and didnt have to wait long to be seated in the chair. It was nice to see Dr Flores, we chatted a bit before he started making the repairs. He made me a temporary crown that fitted like a glove. Ill get my permanent crown in two weeks. Dr. Flores is SO AMAZING that every time I remember I haven’t left a review for him I feel guilty, that’s how good he is. I get so anxious just thinking about going to the dentist but he will make sure you’re well informed, constantly asks you if you’re okay and genuinely worries about his patients. I no longer feel going to the dentist because I know I’ll be in good hands. The quality of the work is unbeatable, I got a crown done by him and it looks exactly like my other teeth, you cannot tell the difference. And his staff is just as amazing as him, it just doesn’t get any better! I would recommend him to everyone!!!

Most thorough dental appointment I’ve ever had. Both the doc and dental hygienist explained everything throughout the routine and made sure I was comfortable. I left the appointment with cleaner teeth and a better understanding of overall dental health and care. Covid screening measures were in place, the office was very clean- I arrived 10m prior to my Appt time and was seen right away. Never rushed or left alone to wait for more than 1m. Ive never had a more pleasant experience at the dentist! Ive been visiting Thyme for over a year now and it feels like Ive hit the dental lottery. Wait time is short, the staff is friendly, and Dr. Lee is so personable. I also appreciate how procedures are explained and how much they involve you in what theyre doing. I know exactly what theyre doing and why theyre doing it and I feel comfortable to ask questions or express concern. My friends dont believe me when I say I enjoy the dentist!

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to do so for Dr. Flores. He is without a doubt the finest dentist I have ever seen, and I have been to many. Having gone through veneers, root canals, gingivitis, periodontal work, crowns and I’m sure I’m leaving out others, he was gentle, knowledgeable and thorough. I’m so happy with the care that I’m sending my 14 year old son to him!! Now That’s saying Something!!

No one wants to visit the dentist during a pandemic, but as soon as I booked my appt to deal with a cracked tooth, I could tell Thyme was taking *all* the precautions possible. When I arrived, I felt safe in the surroundings and received the same excellent care and customer service I’ve come to expect. A well earned 5 stars!

Dr. Patel is a great dentist! He is very knowledgeable, always explaining what he is going to do to your mouth next. He works with you to find out the best way to pay for your visit, has a very skilled woman who does the cleaning of your teeth. The receptionist is nice and receptive (easy to talk to and make appointments with). Finally, while you are waiting for your appointment to start, he has this great massage chair which will totally relax you for your visit!

Wow, Dr. Flores was amazing and super nice.He took his time to explain everything, did not rush the procedure or time with me by any means.He was also willing to waive some charges if the insurance didnt cover it.We even chatted about dental school.He gave me some tips on the application process and choosing a school.They also work every other Saturday which is super convenient.I will definitely make him a my regular dentist without a doubt.

I first encountered Thyme Dental Care over a holiday weekend when I had chipped one of my teeth. I was nervous that I would have a difficult time getting it fixed since many dental offices were closed. Im glad I settled on this place - the staff were courteous, friendly, and efficient. Dr. Andrew Flores took the time to explain the options for repair that were available to me before I was charged a dime. He guaranteed the tooth repair for a year which allows me to come back in free of charge if anything happens to the fixed tooth. Ive now been to both their Midtown and Upper East Side locations and I really appreciate how convenient their locations are. Not only will you receive quality dental care here, but youll encounter a friendly and knowledgeable dentist and dental staff who care just as much about your patient experience as they do your dental needs.

Oral surgeon was very good. I had a stubborn tooth that did not want to come out, but she was very professional and patient. Practice needs to be set up to send electronic prescriptions for pain meds. This is the only way a pharmacy can accept them.

I drive quite a distance when I need dental work done to see Dr Patel. Its totally worth the trip. Im ultra sensitive to tooth pain and had always been nervous of going to the dentist because of this. Dr Patel and his staff make scheduling easy and the work is done thoroughly and without pain. Dr Patel has a very gentle touch, will spend time explaining everything that needs to be done, and does great cosmetic work as well.

Dr. Patel and his staff are fantastic ! He has been my dentist for the past seven years and is impeccable, detail oriented and pain free. My mom, sister and I have been coming to Dr. Patel since he took over the practice from Dr. Mergler a few years ago. I must say, I have NEVER enjoyed going to the dentist. In fact, Ive always dreaded going as it was always an uncomfortable, arduous, and most times painful experience for me.Dr. Patel has changed all that. Not only do I genuinely enjoy watching the years of dental neglect fade away as Dr. Patel and his staff address the sorry state Ive left my teeth in, but I actually enjoy the process as well. Theres no pain and no stress. The office is always full of life (and great music!) and Patel and his wonderful staff feel like family. Violet, Karen, and Kevin have been there from the start and are a little dental home away from home.Dr. Patel is thorough, communicative, attentive, and understanding. Although not all insurances are accepted, Dr. Patel will work with you to take care of your most problematic issues. Ive had to pay out-of-pocket, but IT IS WORTH IT for the peace of mind he affords. I have no doubt that a visit to Patels office will change any apprehensive feelings about going to the dentist. And youll have a healthy mouth to boot!

He takes time show you Xrays, and educates you on the best way to maintain the overall health of your mouth. Healthy teeth and strong gums are what keeps me youthful! When I leave his chair, I feel well informed and well equipped! The staff is humbled, friendly, and respectful. I had a freak accident and cracked my two front teeth 48 hours after my first visit with Dr. Patel! I called his office and they squeezed me into his schedule that day. Dr. Patel talked to me about my options and walked me through the entire process. I was pretty banged up, with tons of stitches in my face and nerve damage. Dr. Patel exhibited extreme patience as I jumped — and periodically hit his hand away. Best of all, I have my smile back.

I am the biggest baby in the world -- at 49 -- I am terrified to go to the dentist -- period -- Dr. Patel was completely understanding about my situation and made me feel completely secure and comfortable during the procedure -- its has totally changed my feeling about going to the dentist!!

I travel 90 miles to be seen by these fine dentists and their staff. Their training is excellent, and I trust them to give me consistent specialized care. Moreover, everyone at both offices is genuinely nice and cares about providing the best treatment possible.

Im really afraid of the dentist. My first visit for a cleaning gave me confidence to return to get fillings repaired/replaced. Came for my second visit. I had a tooth that had a very deep cavity and needed the filling repaired. I was told in the past that this would have to be done but I did not trust that dentist. However, Dr. Flores was very kind and as I mentioned gave me confidence that I would not feel any pain. And when I returned for my second appointment, he did not disappoint me. He was very patient with filling my deep cavity and I felt no pain. Now Im looking forward to my 3rd visit. I would highly recommend him. His staff is also very courteous and helpful. Everyone!
