This is my second placement with BAHS. The first one was with a family of twins and I stayed with this family for 2.5 years until they moved out of state. During my first hiring process, the staff were very helpful in making sure that they find the family that fits my experience and skills. My review is written from the perspective of the hiring family, and is vastly different from the other reviews. The nanny candidate we hired through BAHS, who commanded a very high salary and thus a significant agency fee, was terminated after 3.5 months of employment (just after the replacement term ended). It was brought to my attention that this caregiver made statements about my children that would make the hairs on the back of any parents neck stand up. I am a reasonable, level headed person, and understand the agencys perspective that they have no proof that these statements were made (the comments were revealed to me by another staff member who was subsequently let go, as well). However, how could I possibly continue to employ someone to help with my children after hearing these things?So I started to dig deeper, and speak with our housekeeper and a babysitter, both of whom shared stories about the nanny that showed her lack of professionalism (though not disparaging my children). I shared the feedback with the agency, thinking it would cause them to stand up and want to know more, and would result in at least a conversation about the fee we paid, or at the very least a credit for a replacement. Instead, we have been met with a highly inflexible response that says their fee terms are clear and they require concrete proof of a caregivers unprofessional behavior. It was highly surprising to me, as I have worked with several agencies in the past who have always been willing and wanting to learn as much as they can in an instance where a candidate did not work out, especially in such a short time frame. I have never had a situation like this one, where a caregiver has been accused of making horrific statements about the children she is supposed to help care for. However, I would have imagined that such a situation would garner, at the very least, a highly responsive position from the agency and a willingness to work with the family to right the situation.I want other families to know our story because I would want to know. Nothing is more important than our children and every experience in their world shapes them and matters. I want to know that any agency I work with is advocating as much for the families as they are for the candidates. The stakes are just too high.

British American Housing Staffing nanny agency is one of the High End Nanny Agency that really very friendly and accommodating. I was treated very well the moment I walked in the office. They had given me the the best jobs anyone can envy. Unending communications day and night and even midnight they will respond especially the owner Ms Anita Rogers. A Wonderful womanI will highly recommend this agencies to my friends and relatives and in fact some of my friends are now enjoying same job as I do.

There is a lot that could be said about this agency. They have very high standards, which is great, but something is very off here. Ever hear the expression, if it smells like bullsh**? First, I have been to this office four times, with an appointment, and have been made to wait longer than 30 minutes, and one of those times being an hour. This is common place. It is worse with domestic workers than those who pay the nice 20% fee; for instance, the have been a number of women waiting in the lounge since before my arrival, and were still sitting there waiting to be seen after I was finished (75-90 minutes!) This environment is incredibly disrespectful. Second, Anita is the kind of woman who says anything and everything to get your business, including but not limited to being overly friendly, and name dropping about current clients she is placing with. Outrageously unprofessional. A nanny we ended up using also mentioned that while she was high educated, experienced, and in my opinion and the opinion of her five references, an absolute gem, (obviously, as we hired her), neither Anita nor her office workers never called her back after an in person interview promising lots of great positions to go after. This disrespect to people gives me great pause. We ended up hiring our nanny and housekeepers from a different agency out of dumb luck, but should we have a need, we wont go back. I dont feel that my privacy would be protected, and Ive seen that the applicants are not treated as professionals.

I recently utilized this agency to help me find a nanny for my six year old son. I cant say enough good things about the quality of the service at BAHS. They really listened to my needs, and only sent me candidates who met my criteria and who were really interested in working with my family. The agencys responsiveness, attention to detail and ability to be discrete was top notch. While I hope our current nanny stays with us as long as we need, I would use this agency again if I ever have additional staffing needs.

With my experience and background in education, I have been to a few different prestigious agencies in the city only to be lied to and treated poorly. From day one they treated me wonderfully and respectfully. They constantly sent me emails and texts offering me positions I might be interested in applying for. Every other agency I worked with would send as many as ONE and if that didnt work, you were history. Anita and her staff work with you to help find the perfect match!I highly, highly recommend! !Ive read a couple poor reviews, on this site only, and my guess is maybe the candidates didnt quite fill all the requirements? My experience with Madison and BHAS has been nothing short of exceptional. Im a chauffeur with an executive protection background and she wasted no time in having me considered for a position that I can basically say is THE dream job for any chauffeur. I have worked with British American Household Staffing for over six years, its the only agency I use for several reasons. Not only do they have the best nanny positions but Anita and Ashley are absolutely fantastic! They truly have both the families and nannies best interest at heart. As a professional nanny choosing a family and position is a very important and difficult decision. Neither Anita nor Ashley ever pressured me into taking a job. They were patient, they worked long and hard to find me a position that was right for me! Ashley spent hours talking with me discussing the pros and cons of certain jobs. They went above and beyond their job responsibilities to help me. Even after placing me, they remainded in contact and offered lots of advice during a big trasntion time in my life. I am very grateful to have such a wonderful agency on my side!

They were descent enough to tell me that they only entertain applicants with 5 years experience- but after i went to their office submitted my Resume. and made many phone calls to follow-up since i never heard from them.My point is they could have told me earlier when they got my Resume...not after I made an effort of numerous calls. Hopefully after 2years i will be entertained enough and with all honesty upfront. but i still consider this experience a lesson learned.Since i only migrated 3years ago naturally i also have 3years experience.I have been to Society Agency with no appointment but did call and Mr. Parre the owner accommodated me read my resume and even give some advice how to present my self in an interview. Did not make any promises but assured me that they will try to do what they can to help. Its overwhelming having a warm and sincere conversation with him. Not all owner or agency will go out of there way to make you feel that they will help you.

Ive read the other reviews and I cant speak for everyone elses experience, but I can say that I had a good experience with British American Household Staffing. Ive been to other agencies in NYC and Ive havent had the best results. Other agencies are not only pretentious and rude, but they dont care about what the applicant truly wants in regards to job placement and salary. For example, Ive been to other agencies who will characterize me under a job title I absolutely have no experience in. Ive been a PA/Housemanager for over 7 years now. Therefore, my skills are paralell to these kinds of jobs. During my interviewing process at BAHS, all the staff members were professional, courteous, and thorough in matching me up with positions/families that was a good fit with my credentials. I was immediately sent out on an interview after a week of my initial meeting with Anita and Deidre. Although I didnt get the position, BAHS continues to assist me in finding the right fit. Sometimes it may take a day or so to get a response, but eventually they respond to all of my inquiries. I acknowledge the fact that they have other applicants to assist as well, therefore Im patient and I dont assume the worse! If you havent given them a try, now is the time :)

By far the worse placement agency in NYC,pleased do not waste your time with them,they are so umprofessional it is a miracle that they are still operating.No follow up, no reply,no courtesy.I met with a recruiter who left the company shortly after our meeting,no one followed up,after numerous calls and emails, another rep was supposed to submit me to jobs to find out that she also resigned a few weeks after.Clearly something is the matter if they cant retain their own staff.A friend of mine also emailed her resume after several days she received a reply late night from Anita (owner) to come for a meeting the next day,as if my friend had no prior commitment.My friend asked if it would be ok to meet the following week and not even a reply from Anita (owner),mind blowing and rude on her part.As I read all the reviews I am laughing at the blatant display of hypocrisy from Anita as she actually answered some of these reviews to put up a good front,perhaps she should simply follow up with candidates from the start.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS JOKE OF AN AGENCY !!!!!!I reached out to Pavillion and was placed in less than week, My friend was also placed within 15 days.I would have given them a Negative 5 stars if I could, but one star must be checked to post the review.

Very unprofessional,I went there to interview for a chef position.They kept me in the waiting room for a hour an a half.Remember now I had a scheduled appointment .I could hear one of the employee`s telling Anita (the owner) he`s been waiting a long time.For no real reason.So when Anita does finally interview me ,you can tell she is just going threw the motions.While waiting in the office I could here them help other job seekers .Adjust there resumes so it would look more professional to the employer.I guess this is there M.O if they like you.I have plenty of experience as a private chef.For private estates and working for famous people.Anita and her staff don`t answer my e-mail`s or send my info over to a potential employer.I seems this Co. put more emphasis on looks the subsists.Very pretentious company.Bottom line , if Anita dose`nt like your look or clicks with your personally she sort of blows you off.It seems she feels if u don`t click with her u won`t click with her potential client.Which is not true alot of times.P.SThere are good and not so good agency.This one is unprofessional and pretentious.NYC has a lot more agency give them a try.Like Greenhouse ,the Lindquist Group and so many more.I hope this helps job seekers, and maybe helps BAH reevaluate the M.O. .Thank you ,Ezez IP.S.SSo now they reply to my review months later.As if they care ,so the public thinks it was a misunderstanding.So I apply for another chef position they have posted.Never heard from them.And I interview at there office.There relies to these reviews are insincere at best.I stick to my review .From my experience this is one of the most unprofessional staffing agencies.Just read my review it was sincere and honest.Don`t waste your time.It all begins and ends with the owner.
