From the genuinely warm greeting of the receptionist when I entered, to the nurse promptly doing the first steps and recording my initial data by checking my blood pressure, temperature and so forth, to my great doctor greeting to me and discussing my concerns and questions about my medical record test results and then connection the dots and finding what my current condition is and how they plan to improve it, the level of professionalism and the caring of their clients is A+all the way. I am very happy to be a patient of OMNY at the Manhattan office. I’m thankful for Dr Aboufares Ali 10 years ago I took my boss mom with cardiac complications, he performed surgery on her. Today she is happy to be 83 years old with no ❤️complications. Recently I was having chronic Pain on my Lower Extremities, I call his office the girls were very pleasant and professional they gave me a next day appointment. Two days later I had a Vein Ablation. Dr Aboufares did an amazing job, I have no more pain, no more swelling on my legs and the most important thing. I’m able to do my normal activities free of pain. I went in to my first appointment scared and nervous, but everyone was so nice and answered all my questions (even though I had a ton). They talked to me throughout the process and that helped to put me at ease. It is great when you find people in the medical profession that treat you like a person and not just a patient.

Dr. Aboufares took my case over from Dr. Ahmed after he retired. Dr. Aboufares is like 30 years younger and I love his bedside manner. Most doctors are pretty great at what they know and do. But when you have a skilled surgeon who makes you laugh can make a difference in recovery. He cares. He is way ahead of the curve with new treatments. My expiration date was 5 years ago. He keeps extending that date. I sincerely wish that a few of my other doctors had his depth of caring. Yes, we see doctors for how good they are. But its nice to have one with a great bedside manner. Dr. Aboufares was a welcomed solution for my 91 year old Grandmother. She had been suffering from dizzy spells for a few years and had seen every specialist around. One review of her file and consultation and Dr. Aboufares was able to offer conservative advice to resolve the situation. Yes, now at 94 she is back to her daily Jazzercise workouts, driving to meet her friends for lunch and playing cards with the ladies. Dr Ali is one top rated cardio- vascular doctor. For year hes been my physician, surgeon, and a friend. He and his staff are all working in unison, never stopping, in caring the patient towards the race maintaining the excellent and high quality of patient care.I wish to give kudos to all, with Ms. Leah, and Mr. Daniel, the director of Ultrasound studies, keep it up guys! I came here with a family member . As a healthcare provider myself , I was expecting better customer service since it’s affiliated with CUMC. There was an hour delay in the appointment time . When asked questions about the procedure, staff was very hesitant to answer my questions . I just wanted to see the results of an ultrasound , that made the diagnosis prior to procedure . Also my familyMember got prepped and just laid on the table for a long time (45mins) . My family member wanted to leave and was really upset . Also after the procedure the RN was asking when my family member would come back for 2 more procedures when it was discussed it would be one procedure ,this for one is scary to a patient and not the plan discussed . The front desk has no clue what’s going on at all . There is a lack of caring for patients here . The staff may be used to naive , elderly patients who do not have anyone to adovocate for them. Ask questions , get explanations . And staff should be caring to you .Update : second follow up . My family member went for a 2 week follow up appt . And staff brought up my review at the appt . One of the female techs jumped into the conversation (rudely)my family member was having with the consultant .My family member did not have a Pleasant appt . CUMC at the main campus strives for excellence and patient care and happiness is a priority for all patients . This office instead of asking how they can do better or ask what was wrong , brought up this review . Also my family member didn’t write it , I did . Luckily nyc has many offices and we just picked a bad one . The Jackson heights office is suppose to be better but some staff rotate locations . Good luck 🍀 getting medical care isn’t a easy task especially procedures so you want to be assured , fully explained , and treated respectfully in regards to your health and time .
