I have experienced the care of Dr. Mueller both personally and for my family and friends. He is thorough, empathetic and spends time with his patients where your questions get answered and all options offered. When you leave his office you feel very informed. His follow up is excellent, reaching out on both test results and any urgencies. I have complete confidence in him and have never been disappointed.I am a health care professional myself and I know the difference between “fair” care and “great” care. I have recommended Dr. Mueller to others without hesitation.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Muellers for a few years but have recently gone through some medical issues that have required a lot of his time (and patience). Dr. Mueller has taken excellent care of me - thorough, spending as much time as I needed to explain the issues, making sure I get necessary tests but also making sure Im not over-tested. Hes communicated with me on nights and weekends, and always answers all my questions. I also find his staff to be professional and friendly. There have been times when Ive had to spend time in the office waiting to see him, but I view that as the flip side of him spending the time with me that I need. I feel well taken care of with Dr. Mueller.

Dr. Mueller is an amazing Doctor. He is a very caring, thoughtful and an all around good person. I have never met a Doctor that really shows so much concern. It makes me happy to know that he is not treating his patients like they are just his job.Very refreshing to know him and be in his care.

Dr Richard Mueller is a cardiologist par excellence. His reputation is second to none in New York City. I have been his patient for 10+ years and continue to be fortunate to be under his care. He is very in depth, asks a lot of questions and is truly concerned about your health and well being. When you are in his office he makes you feel like you are his only patient. He has helped me from abroad. Most recently, I had some surgery and was cleared by him. The chief of anesthesia at the hospital was so impressed with the package he sent along: EKG, Ecocardiagram, Stress Echo, heart monitor for 72 hours and Cartoroid Doppler. The chief of anesthesia told me that he wishes all doctors would be as thorough and in-depth as Dr Mueller. I agreed with him and said that Dr Mueller sets the bar very high for himself. And, yes, he is a tough act for a lot of doctors to follow because he is the BEST! Dr Mueller is a doctor’s doctor. If you need a cardiologist, I recommend that you run to go see him. Thank you Dr Mueller for the great care you continue to give me. A very grateful patient. JR

16 years ago, I first went to Dr. Mueller with no known cardiological problems, simply looking for a baseline checkup. Dr. Mueller astutely diagnosed a potentially serious cardiac problem which no other doctor had seen. For the last 16 years I have always felt confident I was receiving world class cardiac care. Dr. Mueller is not only tremendously skilled, he is also one of the most conscientious and caring physicians I have known. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

After my partner had quadruple bypass surgery, he needed a cardiologist to care for him both post-op and on a long-term basis. An acquaintance with a similar medical history spoke very highly of Dr. Mueller, so we decided to schedule an appointment. During 6 years of care, Dr. Mueller proved to be that rare physician who listens to his patients, spends as much time as necessary during an office visit, and, most importantly, responds during off-hours when a patient (or family member) is scared and needs reassurance. Although he has a large practice, he has a knack for remembering the patient and his details, and was always aware of other medical conditions that would influence decisions on cardiac treatment. Sadly, my partner passed away from an unrelated illness a few months ago, but even in his last weeks, Dr. Mueller remained in touch and was very supportive. Thank you, Dr. Mueller.

I have been a patient at Medical Associate since 2003, when I was referred by my neurosurgeon. I always was very happy with how my heart problems were monitored, evaluated and explained. I cant believe how patient the doctor always is in answering my multiple questions and concerns. I cant drive because of my neurological problems. But it is worth the 2 hour trip from Brooklyn (on a good day) to get the help the doctors there give that I could find nowhere else. One Monday morning in 2013 I had chest pain and breathing problems but did not feel it needed a hospital ER. I called the office and got what I consider concierge notice and attention. I came to the office and was given diagnostic tests and immediately seen by the doctor who arranged for admission to Lenox Hill Hospital as a result of the symptoms and test results. I had a procedure which was successful and am being carefully followed and guided to the present date with what I feel is great successMy doctors as well as the staff always are helpful and treat me with great cheer as well as care. I feel I have found quite good fortune to be in their care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mueller for almost 20 years. I was diagnosed with CAD 15 years ago and had a triple bypass in 2007 and angioplasty in 2011. (Im in my late 70s and, thanks to his treatment, Im still able to do a heavy weight workout at the gym and speedwalk 20+ miles per week.) In addition to being an excellent cardiologist, always aware of the latest studies and treatments and willing to discuss the pros and cons thereof, Dr. Mueller is a caring and compassionate physician who will spend as much time answering a patients questions and explaining in laymans terms as the patient requires. His reputation as one of the best cardiologists in New York is well deserved.I have recommended Dr. Mueller, for a second opinion, to friends who were about to undergo bypass surgery. They switched from their cardiologists to Dr. Mueller. I have never had a complaint from any of the many people to whom Ive recommended Dr. Mueller. Ive never felt the need for a second opinion, even when he suggested I might want to get one before undergoing bypass surgery. I literally trust him with my life..

If I could give this office ZERO stars, I would. After reading the reviews online, I deceided to schedule an appointment for a routine physical due to some medical issues Ive been experiencing. I made an appointment for a routine checkup and received a call from the office staff confirming the date and time of my appointment. I showed up as scheduled on July 2nd to find out that Dr. Sanghi was not scheduled to start until 9:00am. Why would someone from the office call to confirm my appointment for 8:00am when he starts at 9:00am is beyond me. Highly annoyed that I was now going to be late for work, I decided to stick around and wait. I expressed my concerns to Dr. Sanghi and he suggest that I have some blood work done. I called and scheduled my appointment with Quest Diagnostics and had my blood work done on July 16th. It has now been 2wks to date and Ive yet to received a call from the Dr. Sanghi to discuss my results (might I add that theyve had my results since July 17th.) Ive been calling the office since Monday July 23rd asking to speak with Dr. Sanghi to discuss my results and Ive yet to receive a call back. Ive received an email from Matthew in the Records Department stating that he would notify Dr. Sanghi and have him give me a call to discuss and... NOTHING! Im still waiting to hear back. I called AGAIN on July 25th and after speaking Deliene (Im assuming shes the office Manager) and finally received a call back from Dr. Sanghi, but was unable to take his call due to me being on the train. I called back as stated in his voicemail 10 minutes later, however he informed me that he was no longer in the office in front of his computer and would reach out to me the following morning (Thursday July 26th) to discuss my results. Its now Monday July 30th 2 wks to date since Ive done my blood work and Ive yet to speak with Dr. Sanghi to discuss my results. Highly frustrated, I deceided to take time out of my SCHEDULE and go to the office to pick up my results. I was at the point where I no longer wanted him to discuss them with me and is in the process of finding another physician to do what he is clearly incapable of doing. To the Physicians and Staff over at Medical Associates of New York... This is unacceptable and might I add very unprofessional! Dr. Sanghi, you are a joke! You had ONE patient at 5:00pm on Thursday and couldnt call me to discuss my results. I should not be chasing YOU the physician for MY results. Im having enough anxiety as the patient, trying to figure out the cause of my issue which is why I scheduled an appointment with YOUR OFFICE and SAW YOU in the first place! To anyone thinking about scheduling an appointment with this team, I would think twice and find another practice whos priority is to put the PATIENT and their HEALTH FIRST!

About four years ago, I had the top cardiologist in my hometown hand me all my medical files with a letter addressed to a Chicago specialist proposing that he take over my treatment, involving controlling a persistent 180/110 BP. I changed doctors of course, and after two years of medical guessing games, I found myself moving to New York (16 months ago) for economic reasons and a great job offer. My search for a new specialist led me to Dr. Mueller. I couldnt have been more fortunate.Dr. Mueller got rid of older maintenance dosages and designed a program to, with the least amount of pills, keep me healthy, considerably lowering my average blood pressure and keeping me up to par with a newly acquired New York style of living. After a few weeks of monitoring many factors, he finally came up with a winning design (I am an architect!)to keep me healthy and upbeat. I am more relaxed now, totally in control of my blood pressure and in the course of a short time, he is my go-to-guy for all my health related issues, from apnea to pulse/heartbeat questions to exercising issues. He is the only doctor who has kept me going steadily controlling what were years of very-high-pressure-walking-dead history.During my last office visit and in the middle of holiday wishes, I mentioned to him that I was truly grateful that I had met him and his staff, particularly Naima and Carol. I recommend Dr. Mueller particularly because he will not let me walk away if I dont understand the full scope of what my treatments is all about. Thanks Dr. Mueller.
