Dr Ghalchi is misleading Dr Harkins former patients. Dr Harkin no longer works at this practice yet they keep her name and image on the website to attract her patients. I was lied to about his being in or out of network at first and was mislead about scheduling a wellness visit. Avoid this Dr. There are better options.

This place is the best!!!! Not only is the team really helpful and friendly, but Dr. Ghalchi is an awesome doctor. Hes really nice, thoughtful and thorough with his care, confident in his recommendations, and super patient with questions. I wish I could send my whole family to him!!

My father was a retired physician, who felt Dr Michael Ghalchi is one of the most competent, thoughtful, and professional physicians in NYC. My father recently passed away and has had multiple dealings with many physicians and Dr Ghalchi was by far his favorite doc. Our family feels extremely lucky to have been a part of manhattan cardiovascular.

My very first visit. Very nice offices, clean, if a little cramped. Easy to schedule an appointment. I like the fact that I can speak to a live person rather than voice mail.Was treated with respect, had the time I expected with the doctor; not rushed, and discussions were held in patient language not med speak.They even provide refreshments!The only drawback so far -- they do not seem to participate in all major medical plans, BUT, are willing to work with you. My first impression is that the patients well-being is top priority to them (and rightly so).!

Michael Ghalchi is a terrific doctor, with deep and broad knowledge of the heart. He also shows an obvious interest in the whole person, not just as a heart patient. Its great to be treated as an individual. I particularly appreciate the fact that the couple of times I needed to talk to him, I didnt have to wait anxiously - he returned my calls quickly.

Dr. Ghalchi has been caring for my 88 year old mother for the past 3 or 4 years after he took over the practice of her previous cardiologist and the transition was smooth and accepting. He has a warm compassionate manner and he pays attention to my mother issues. She and I both have confidence in his decisions and care for her.

Dr Ghalchi is first and foremost an excellent physician, but so are many of his fellow cardiologists. What distinguishes him from his colleagues is his bedside manner. He is warm, compassionate, caring, available, responsive and reassuring He has treated both of my parents superbly for over a year now, and I offer him my highest recommendation. When I mention his name to other physicians, they smile and nod knowingly, perhaps because they have been involved in inter-specialty collaboration, at which he excels. Also willing to consult and collaborate with our other physicians in order to establish the most effect treatment plan. His office staff is equally adept and personable, and every visit, phone call, and email results in a satisfying encounter that addresses and resolves difficulties and decisions in a timely, effective, satisfying way. You cannot do better! Run, do not walk, to see him. Or perhaps you should consult him before running anywhere!

My visits to this doctors office went fine, overall. Dr. Harkin was courteous and professional, as was the front desk staff and nurses, technicians, medical assistants, etc. Unfortunately, I was later billed for $6000 of services due to an error by their outside billing company after being assured that the procedures were pre-authorized by my insurance company. I think that the situation is being handled now, as I received a call back from someone telling me that I do not in fact owe these bills and that Manhattan Cardiovascular Associates is appealing the unpaid claims because they did actually get the pre-authorization. However, it has been about 5 months since the services were rendered, so it would have been nice to get a phone call to let me know that it was just a billing error. I would imagine some unsuspecting folks might just pay these bills without questioning them. I guess my advice to patients is to always question bills you dont expect and make sure you understand the pre-authorization process for diagnostic procedures, as they are sometimes not covered unless the insurance company is convinced they are medically necessary (in their opinion, which often differs from reality!). Try to confirm with the insurance company yourself that there was in fact a preauthorization, just to be safe, because it was just a bit nerve-wracking to think I would suddenly owe $6k all these months later. Also, make sure that the provider is in network, unless you have out-of-network coverage! If not, you might get stuck with the bill no matter what! A good thing that came out of this mistake bill is that I learned from browsing my insurance web page that there is something called NY State Out-of-Network Surprise Medical Bill Assignment of Benefits Form, which appears to be a form of recourse in which the state will intervene if you feel you have been unfairly/unknowingly billed for out-of-network services. Good to know that this exists, although I have no personal experience with the process and, it seems that I wont need to pursue it in this case after all...phew!

Manhattan Cardiovascular is professional, quick, and great at answering all of your questions in a clear and concise way. I’d recommend them for any cardiovascular related issues or questions.

Secretaries, physicians assistant and Dr. Harkin are very courteous and professional and thorough.

Dr Ghalchi & his awesome staff made my consultation with them an extremely pleasant experience. The facilities are exceptional--modern and newly renovated. The offices are in a great location in the heart of Manhattan. The staff, including the front desk, nurses, and medical technicians were very friendly and processed my appointment promptly and professionally. Dr Ghalchi took care to personally discuss my diagnosis and treatment options thoroughly and in a way I could understand. He was readily available for questions I had even after my appointments. I was very satisfied with the services provided and would give MCA my highest recommendation!

Ive recently started seeing Dr. Ghalchi and am very pleased with his practice. Ive been seen promptly (or even early) each visit and the doctor has been very clear about what he will be doing and thoroughly explains his findings.My condition had the possibility of affecting my employment and Dr. Ghalchi expedited his diagnosis and treatment as safely, and as quickly, as he could so that my job was secure.I have been respected and well cared for by all the staff and would whole heartedly recommend this practice

I recently visited Dr. Ghalchis office after finding him on ZocDoc when I urgently needed to see a Cardio. All in all, I cant speak more highly of my experience with Dr. G and his team. Before I even got to the office, the office manager contacted my insurance company (Oxford) to verify coverage for my appointment since my visit was out-of-network. She then kindly followed up with me and ensured everything would run smoothly at the office. When I arrived for my appointment, the nurse reassured me not to worry about insurance coverage because Dr. G and his team do everything they can to help their patients. All of the office assistants were extremely kind, genuine, helpful, knowledgeable, and really helped make me feel comfortable throughout all of my tests. Dr. Gs an amazing physician & cardiologist - Hes very intelligent, calm, patient, comforting and really knows how to help people. Beautiful office/location as well. Cant thank Dr. G and his team enough for helping me!

It’s all been said in the other five star reviews but Dr. Ghalchi and his staff are all I could have hoped for in a cardiologist and I could not speak more highly of them. After an overnight scare, I thought it would be worth it go to a cardiologist for a check-up. After finding a small arrhythmia, Dr. Ghalchi did everything that he could to investigate what was going on and to assure me that I would be okay (which was not an easy thing to do!). After having a mini meltdown in their office, his staff could not have been any kinder to me. It felt like they were all my moms taking care of me. Which is all I could ask for!After my company switched to a new insurance in the new year, where he was out of network (which they noticed before I did), the office manager worked with me the day of my appointment to still come in for my follow-up, without any issues. You can tell that his practice cares about the well being of their patients, and will do whatever is necessary to make sure they are okay.Dr. Ghalachi and his staff are very knowledge, kind, and courteous. I have had nothing but a positive experience and they are hands down the best practice I have ever been to.
