I am a home health aid who had served several cases at CEH for the past 2 years .Overall is a good place….. Joseph Grieven the director is on site and handles matters in an effective way, very good blend being compassionate and effective.Wilma Torres is also a great asset to the facility, compassionate, caring and hands on. A person that in my experience in an amazing addition to any facility, that adds such an improvement to the residents quality of life is the activities/entertainment directos: Scott, he is truly gifted and special, a unique blend of authenticity, fun, excellent sense of humor, a wonderful piano player and knows the old songs residents love from back in the day. They recognize music and sing along.The word game keeps residents engage activating memory and retention, his piano time and the happy hr.He is present engages with the residents, they seem to always be looking forward the time with Scott. He also makes sure patio plants are watered looking beautiful during spring and summer.Some of the facility aids are truly beautiful human beings of the top of my head will mention Maria, Dulce, Danubia, Nina,Badia, Jackelyn and a few more.Residents have live stream religious services for Shabath on Fridays and Catholic and Protestant Svces on Sundays.Morrison kitchen is the company in charge of food seems pretty good and the main manager Scott is professional and hands on at all times. Their food is as good as food in facilities that are by far more expensive.Facility has onsite good & skilled good nurses and social workers.Apartments range from studios to 2 bedrooms, some face 2 Ave and gets quite noisy and the other 1/2 faces the back with beautiful river views.There is a physical therapist Joel Wong that sees many of the residents, the process to start requires a PCP referral and he is wonderful. Knowledgeable, experienced and has a touch that is not too pushy and yet assertive to engage the residents in the exercises… couldn’t recommend him strongly enough ..I also want to add that facility had and continues to have strict protocol to prevent COVID 19 spread and keeping residents safe.Although there is always room for improvement, as an aid who has been in many facilities I confidently can state that Carnegie East House is a great value compared to any one that is by far more expensive.

I am eternally grateful to Carnegie East House for caring for my mother. My mothers was cared for by a staff that was sincere, kind, friendly, competent and accommodating in every way. They took a personal interest in making sure she felt welcomed and maintained a personal interest in her comfort and her needs throughout her 5 years there. I am especially grateful to Joseph H. Girven, Executive Director for his leadership in making sure that everyone at Carnegie East felt content and secure. His kindness will always be remembered! Many thanks to you all, for making my mother very happy.
