Love the mission and the service to the community.This place is a for the Super Reader and the Not-yet-Super Readers and the Creative Thinker and the next Maya Angelou and the next JK Rowling...A beacon of light. A glimmer of hope and inspiration.826 New Orleans answers the call to pull out literary potential and embrace literary talent of the New Orleans Local Children. This place provides support, space and opportunity for the community’s youth to be free to think outside the box & run with their imagination.I was here to volunteer for the opening of this facility, byway of Yelp and this was quite a heartwarming volunteering event. A place where literary freedom is not only embraced, but is WANTED & WELCOMED; brings me sheer joy.The space is vividly decorated and Im sure this was intentional; as bright vibrant colors inspire vibrant, vivid and wild thoughts/imagination. And to see the EXCITEMENT of the youth regarding their literary pieces, brought me a warm fuzzy feeling.I have hopes of Volunteering there again, this was a great place for inspiration.
