My arrival was rough 😔. Only one elevator was working and I had to walk down four flights of stairs in the garage. However; the check-in process was quick and easy. The wait time was amazing 👏. My nurse/PA was great! She initiated a nice conversation about my upcoming care. The doctor came in smiling and introducing himself and another doctor. Everyone was wearing a mask. I felt safe the entire time. The doctors and I had a great conversation about my care. I will recommend Baptist to all my friends.

I arrived on time. The operation was an apparent success. The rooms were clean. The nurses were accommodating, friendly and easily understood. Check out was smooth.

Wait time was what I expected. However there was a gentleman in the waiting area cutting up. I felt he should have been separated from the area.The check in process was very smooth. The staff was professional and took no time to check me in. The triage nurse was a little rough. From there it was smooth sailing. Every nurse, nurse practitioner and doctor I encountered were great.

Ochsner Baptist hospital is hands down one of the best facilities to get proper care from in New Orleans at least for Mothers to be. I passed several hospitals to get to OBH to deliver not one but both of my children. My nurses are always nice and professional. I always feel safe and confident that they are doing a great job and putting my health and my baby’s health first. I also love the doctors working in the OBED. Everyone works together to create a stress free environment for mom and baby. There is one nurse in particular that has stolen my heart and that is Ms.Eddie. Ms.Eddie is by far one of the best nurses if not thee best nurse in Mother Baby. She lights up the room when she walks and she is friendly and easy to talk to. I wish I could take Ms Eddie home with me and keep her forever. She has the kindest spirit and soul. She will never make you feel uncomfortable or annoying. She will let you ask her a million and one questions even if they don’t make sense. She won’t judge. Ms Eddie is a big book of knowledge. She also has some of grandma’s secret magic dust. I have only known her for 3 days but for some strange reason I feel like I have known longer. Ms.Eddie is truly one in a million and Ochsner is really lucky to have such and amazing nurse.

The medical staff is excellent but the garage logistics and the problems created in getting to the right location are issues that are difficult to overcome. I think signage, help desks, etc are as good as they can be; but the problems are just baked in.Leaving extra time to get to the doctors’s offices helps.But again, the care is excellent; and that’s what is most important.

The staff and Nurse Practitioner I see there are awesome. Always nice and the NP always remembers personal stuff about my life such as my kids. This makes you feel like they are treating the person as well as health problem. Thanks Mrs. V!

Arrived and was seen within 15 mins!! Everyone from the receptionist to the person transporting me to X-ray was so professional , helpful, understanding and sensitive to my pain!

Been here 3 days and every staff member I’ve met (feels like a lot) has been incredibly compassionate and treated me like a real human, for which I have so much gratitude. Very pleasant experience in ER, and on the unit. Physician and staff are awesome 👌. Everyone including dietary and housekeeping so pleasant and helpful. Though I never relish the idea of staying in the hospital, I am thankful for the care provided.

Everyone was caring and patient. The attending P.A. did not stop running test on me until she found out everything that was wrong with me. Nurse Angela,Was really Awesome,she went above & beyond & exceeded my needs. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants compassion,care & quality to go here. I did not wait long @ all. I entered & was inside a room within 3 minutes of arrival time,checking in with patient access representative. Thank You to all of the caring team of staff that took care of me & actually found out what was wrong with me.

From the security guard who went out of his way to roll me in a flat wheelchair up a hill just to get me to ER. All staff was beyond nice and if. I lived in New Orleans ochsner would definitely be my home

Started out great, but then I had to come in for an annual visit and checkup that not only took far longer than it should have, with computer hang ups forcing the doc to have to re-enter everything, whilst at the same time digging at some bumps on his forehead, which seriously should not have happened, but when I later discretely suggested he see a dermatologist, I was sent an angry letter by some administrator telling me that my suggestion was ‘inappropriate’ and therefor I would have to find another the physician, and when I complained about that to the proper authorities, including sending a fellow-up letter to the CEO, himself, they did not have the courtesy to reply, until I finally called about receiving billing notices when I had sent payment in full to the CEO, at which time they sent me a letter (finally) to the effect that my complaint was deemed resolved when they finally credited my check to my account! Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up! Your mileage may vary…

Absolutely imcompetent and lazy NICU unit. Took more than 6 hours to discharge a baby from this facility. There is an alternative to Ochner in the area. In my office, whole team would be fired and replaced in no time.

Ive been there twice and everyone, even the security was very helpful. I was made as comfortable as I believe possible and was given great treatment by the nurse and Dr.😊

I have never in my life called a hospitals MAIN LINE and gotten no answer, but here I am calling this one back to back until the phone hangs up on me. I am not from there and a loved one is in the ICU and I cant even get someone to speak to me!!! How does that happen?!?!?!????!??

Every single person at the hospital, Baptist, was extremely nice and outgoing to make me feel comfortable. From the nice lady that checked me in, to nurses on the floor, and the doctors. They went out of their way to wish me well before and after my surgery. Great job team Ochsner!!

HORRIBLE! The Worst most calloused ER experience ever. 1 star is too high a rating. Although my brother was admitted due to passing out (his heart doesnt pump enough blood to get to his head) They refused to let us speak to a Cardiologist. We have MEDICAL INSURANCE. The discharge Dr (so called) was the worst. He told us to go home and call a Cardiologist. They put a lady in the same room with us; she coughed for hours. When I expressed my concerns about her spreading COVID, They blew it off saying she didnt have covid, but yet an hour later, they gave her a COVID test. They made me change my brothers sheets with him lying in bed, they gave me the gloves and wipes to clean him after a bowel movement in bed. They made me walk him out of the hospital and walk him down the street to my car. They showed NO COMPASSION. They were a burned out fed up crew who sat at their computers and talked rather than tend to patients. I never plan to go here again. The only reason we ended up in this misfortune was due to the fact that the EMS Ambulance brought him here, through no choice of our own. Buyer Beware of Ochsner Baptist ER!

This hospital is TOP KNOTCH! I was having severe stomach pains and went to their ER. Everyone there was amazing. The doctor on call actually listened to MY concerns instead of telling me what HE though was wrong with my body. He even admitted that my “diagnosis” was correct LOL it was my gallbladder. They did a thorough exam of my body and did all they could to make sure I remained comfortable. The staff treated me with concern and kindness the entire time. I can’t say enough about the great staff and how hospitality everyone was. From the techs to transport, security, nurses, the doctors... they all get an A+ in my book!

Terrible experience. Bloody cotton ball on the floor of the waiting room. Did not take my concerns or pain seriously. Spent 2 hours there with remotely no help. I’m having very abnormal symptoms, and they refused to give me a blood test. Nurse just repeated “I don’t know”. Oh, and when we mentioned the bloody cotton ball, the woman checking on patients just kicked it to the side. The nurse who checked vitals was professional & nice, but other than that, terrible terrible experience.

Two things to mention: Five stars to the staff as they gave us a terrific service, everything was perfect and Dr Band was an excellent Doctor. For the billing I would say -10 stars: they have sent FOUR accounts already paid to collection and always the burden of proof is on you. You have to contact your HSA Bank to get the scan of the checks and a zillion of requirements. The billing portion of Ochsner is mediocre and rude. But the medical side is top notch.

Between receptionists, nurses, doctors, and just medical staff I must have come in contact with 25 people when I had my surgery. Everyone was so nice and amazing and were always focused on me as a patient. Excellent job to Ochsner for having the best staff!!!!!

Went to Baptist for colonoscopy last January. .. paid all bills on the spot and verified at the office that nothing else was due .... Months later started getting bills from Metro anathesiology ... When I didnt pay them because they were well after the fact my credit report was downgraded ... Will never recommend any Ichsner schister facility

My intake was smooth brought me straight to my room my nurse was waiting for me check my vitals she made me feel at home immediately they did not come into my room unless it was necessary I felt like I had time to rest they kept my meds on time I did not have to ask for them the surgery team was prompt kind and I feel like I’ve gotten the right doctors to do the right procedures in such an emergency case

I was very pleased with my visit to Ochsner Baptist on Thursday 3/11/21. I experienced the best service Ive ever gotten from. Any ERThere was no waiting . Everyone was friendly from the time of my arrival until my departure.I received professional, and courteous, assistant ance. Very pleasant for an ER . Everyone was knowledgeable in their jobs.

From thee door greeter , to the young man check me in, to the nurse Olies that took my weight and blood pressure, to Dr. Meoli the experience was a breeze and so very comfortable. Commutation and service was amazing!

I came in thinking I had a cold the staff right away knew I was in trouble with all the coughing.in the treatment area in know time they were working on me. All in all the care I received was excellent.

Amazing staff. I went to another ER and waited 9 hours to be turned away without hesitation. I was in and out of Ochner within 3 hours. They followed up with me and I had surgery within a few days. Dr. Sandow was great! I would recommend Ochsner to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and kindness like we all deserve. Thank you to everyone who works there!

Twice now I have accompanied my daughter in law to major appts. Twice I have been told I could not wait with her. Both times there were other patients with someone with them and they were allowed to wait with their family member. I just went back in to check and they are still waiting even through their family member went back! I’m in oncology/gynecology . This is terrible!!! The employee was just plainly deciding who could wait for their love one and who couldn’t!! Aweful!

I want to recognize two nurses that are so above and beyond the call of duty. Im so grateful for this hospital, the concern, attention, and genuine love of the people here. Jasmine and Olivia have just provided the absolute best care, competent, attentive, they never make me feel like Im bothering them. I try not to of course, but when I do need something they act as a good friend that is willing and able to address my needs/concerns. My doctor, Diago Torres has true concern and he follows the process all the way through. He did a major surgery on me and I have had no complications with that surgery and it was a huge surgery. He actually made the area look better than before the surgery, it’s amazing. If you or your family has any need for services please do yourself a favor and choose Oshner they are a cut above in every area, when their food service is amazing!!!

They will have you waiting forever just to get into a room. I was waiting for amount 5hours so y’all have to take that 30 min waiting time off y’all website before that’s false information.

Bureaucracy at its finest. Do not go here . The only reason this hospital still exist is because of the nursing staff (some) Too many hands in the health till. Beware the Hospitalist. My daughter had my grandson there and I was able to stay with her and husband for delivery but when they moved her to a mother room, they asked me to leave. I asked them why they said policy. I did not have a ride my husband dropped me off it was 45 min away, i asked where am i to go till he gets there and they said wait in garage. It was very cold and In December so i waited in the cold for 45 min. Rude rude rude and inconsiderate!!! Would NEVER recommend this hospital that treats people in this manner. The nurses were cold and callas as well to my daughter!

The staff is very friendly and accepting. Very well taken care of. They have morning prayer over a loud speaker. Which is nice. Very happy I chose Oschner Baptist as my caregiver. Hopefully I get to go home today. My E R nurse Jeramy was awesome! She totally rocks! Thanks Jeramy for making my stay, fun amd enjoyable.

I had a wonderful experience with labor and delivery. However 7 months later I was sent a bill for a newborn hearing screening done at Ochsner before discharge. Even though I have OCHSNER HMO insurance my insurance would not cover this service due to it being out of network. Turns out Ochsner outsources the hearing screening through a separate company. MOMS please make sure this addressed prior to delivery. No one told us it was out of network or outsourced through an outside company. I was not happy with this surprise bill and you will not be either.

My experience at Ochsner Baptist was great from start to finish. Everyone that I encountered delivered exceptional service (from the receptionists to the nurses to the doctor.) There was very minimal wait time, and each hand off was done flawlessly. Dr. Gala made me feel completely at ease and uncomfortable during my appointment with him!! One of the best Ive ever had, and I will definitely keep him as my go-to doctor! When I headed down to the lab they were anticipating my arrival and again delivered service that was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend Ochsner Baptist and Dr. Gala for any medical needs relative to obstetrics!

Do Not! I Repeat! Do Not go to this hospital or send your loved ones here! My mom has Cancer and Unfortunately developed pneumonia recently. My mom has been in this hospital for 5 days and I have had to repeatedly make phone calls to her nurses and make them and doctor do their Job! This place is a joke! All Staff including the supervisors are unprofessional, inattentive and Lazy! I will definitely be reporting this hospital!

I absolutely love this place! Currently celebrating the fact my son is a NICU graduate. They have a yearly celebration and bring back all the NICU babies. The staff, the Doctors are wonderful!!!!

I was extremely happy with my overall experience at Ochsner Baptist.Before my arrival I was sent reminders (via text) and the staff made sure I knew just where I was going in these multiple buildings. Upon arrival signage was clear and I got to my appointment without confusion.They young lady that checked me in was very personable and so very kind when I had somehow not completed my check in questionnaire.My only disappointment came at the end of my appointment. My doctor wants to do a follow up procedure in a couple of months. The date I was given was not good for me and my family. Instead of checking on a new date, the nurse told me to call the number on the appointment sheet. I would have appreciated it if I could have changed the date while I was there.

A friend of mine went to the hospital to see her newborn grandson. They said she couldnt go see him, even though her daughter was crying for her mother and wanted her mama to see her newborn the hospital decided to post guards to stop my friend from going and seeing her daughter and her newborn grandson. Yea nice place. NOT!!!!!!!

Incredible staff. Very patient and super informative. I was very nervous going in for any surgery but the nurses, the front desk staff, the anesthesiologist, let alone my doctor all gave me great comfort with direct eye contact. None of them were half way listening to me, I had their full attention with any questions or concerns. Everyone had genuine smiles, nothing was fake or forced. I really appreciated their hospitality and professionalism. Wish I could give them 20 stars.

The wouldnt have my dog delivered @ this hospital. From the moment they changed my dr to dr. H, things went down hill. The young nurse lied to another staff saying I requested something I never mentioned. The person performing the ultrasound showed very little sympathy. Just walked away and left me in a dark room full of emotions and questions. The dr, he explained very little. I had to report to another hospital to receive more information in an hour than the 1 hour and 15 minute wait on the day of my appointment. Called to inquire about release of remains, Chaplin Champ informed me my baby was not a baby! I was furious! Life begins @ conception!!! The apologies given were so water down it was unbelievable!!! Ochsner is stated to be the best of the best in the region. Total failure! Total failure!!!!!

I am a expecting mom and was introduced to a new system called “connected mom “through Ochsner and was sent to a area of the hospital called the O Bar where I was introduced to a lovely lady named Quinisha. She was patient ,easy to talk to ,and was able to explain all the devices in detail thoroughly ; making my experience today even better! Great work !

I dont like dishonesty! The PT wrote in her After Visit Summary that we addressed Decrease range of motion of neck and Poor Posture. Both of those statements were/are bald faced lies! We did NOT discuss either of those issues, they were never brought up, hinted at, NOTHING! You have liar working for you! Is this the kind of employee you hire/retain?!?

I have been to the Imaging Center on various occasions, and always find it very pleasant! I almost never have to wait more than a few minutes, the reception staff is cordial and efficient. On one occasion I had to wait a considerable length of time, but the staff continued to update me on the delay and to apologize for inconveniencing me. Among over a dozen encounters, that is an acceptable record! Every tech or attendant has been highly competent, professional and caring. My most recent visit has prompted this review.

Great place to do your labs. I had to complete fasting labs. I walked in without an appointment and I was in and out in 10 minutes. Plus, the results were ready pretty quickly and they let my PCP add-on another test after the fact. I will definitely go (and send Patients) here for labs from now on.

As always, my visits to Oschner-Baptist are just lovely. The staff is quite personable and really work to resolve oops that may happen. My doctors are knowledgeable of my situations and give me strength and confidence to continue that plan which we made together; they value my opinion not just as their patient, but also as a knowledgeable human. PJs is a GREAT spot to relax between appointments.

What a disappointment! Had my surgery moved her because it was in network by my doctors office. The morning I was admitted they noted a problem in the check in process but called 2 managers to confirm I was in network. A few weeks later I get a bill for over $10,000 of out of network charges. Ochsner refuses to do anything about this or negotiate with insurance company. Apparently the administration believes you, as the patient, should ensure that what THEY tell you is accurate about their facility and billing practices. Do not trust them, they do not honor what you were told by their own people. The only response to me is pay monthly... if you have 10K to blow go ahead but I will never schedule with them again, much less a 1 hr elective surgery. Do yourself a favor and schedule at East Jefferson, wish I would have.

Ochsner has been the best decision we ever made in regards to our prenatal care. We could not be happier with our care. You do not feel rushed, appointments are always in time, their staff takes the time to fully explain everything to you as well as answer any doubts you may have. I was iffy about doing prenatal care at a hospital because I wanted to feel loved and taken care of, and did not think that would be possible at a hospital setting- I am happy to say I was wrong and I 200% recommend the Alternative Birthing Center for every woman looking for nurturing, loving, safe and informed pre natal care.

The nurses are great. Always on time with my meds and they are so polite. Only thing is the housekeepers are not on time of their job, making sure the rooms a clean. Other than that this hospital is phenomenal.

We arrived early for one test and the technicians were able to get me in early for the other two I had scheduled. Everyone was courteous and professional. It was a very enjoyable experience.

I went for an appointment in the ob/gym clinic that I had confirmed that morning. I checked in early and told them I was on lunch break. 25 minutes later the receptionists are still chatting, someone who came after me had already gone back. I check in and remind them I’m on break and need to be seen. They tell me that I’ll be called next. I’m not. More people go in and it’s 40 minutes into it. I tell them to cancel my appointment and leave. On my way out I get a call from someone asking if I’m willing to come back because she was just about to call me but the physician still has 2 patients and won’t be able to see me for a while. I understand that appointments go long but that should be communicated so people don’t waste their time. Usually I get a text survey after but clearly they didn’t want my feedback. Very disappointing. Will not go back to that provider or that ochsner location. Unacceptable

I have been going to the back and spine clinic for almost a year now, the staff there are so patient and nice and will do everything to help you feel at ease despite the horrible pain I was in, from the doctors to the reception desk. I will recommend this place to anyone asking if I know a great back doctor. My doctors name is Dr. Keating.

Had a horrible experience in ER recently, resulting in me transitioning to Tulane Medical Center and starting over (it was worth it). If you are ever admitted as in-patient, expect poor or no communication about what the plan is,expect nurses to tell you that they have no idea whats happening because theyre just in nursing school, expect to be told that youll see a specialist only to learn that you were being lied to and wont see a specialist, but most importantly: do not expect anyone to care or take interest in solving a mystery or reaching a diagnosis if it isnt an easy one. Consider a hospital where youll be seen by students and specialists alike who are genuinely motivated to help.

My outpatient surgical procedure went really well. All the nurses, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, surgeon and techs were amazing and took very good care of me. Surgery is scary but I felt safe and cared for.

Medical care is great. Patient care? Not so much. Even with a family member there around the clock acting as an advocate, expect to be lied to repeatedly, for one department not to know what the other department is doing, and to be patted on the head and told you dont need to worry about whats going on with your own care. Will definitely choose a different hospital next time.

Great experience as a first time patient in this specialty department. Dr. Amy met my needs in every aspect. Great listener, very knowledgeable, and good bedside manner. Same for her nurse very professional and friendly.

My healthcare staff was very attentive and very dedicated to making my hospital stay as comfortable as possible. Wonderful nurses super doctors.

Their services were just OK, but not only once but twice they sent me over to debt collectors without sending me a bill. I had to deal with collectors for a bill of $17 and $22.I guess I won’t be going there again.Edit: Thanks for the generic response. I don’t need to send you an email. I called and talked to your billing department. That was no help.

The ER was so packed. It was like being shuffled around without getting good care. I was discharged without having an MD or an RN speak to me regarding my results. I opened My Ochsner this morning to find out I have Atelectasis!! The results said either Atelectasis or scarring. I have no previous lung injuries, conditions nor do I smoke that would attest to any kind of scarring. I left still feeling short of breath with my back hurting badly. My discharge pain level was 10. I was truly disappointed and I felt so helpless. I myself am an RN and I would never let a patient be discharged without results and education on those results!

I had surgery here back in April and I was scared to death of surgery but as soon as I arrived I began to feel at ease. Everyone from the check in counter to the medical staff were amazing, kind, and compassionate. There is one doctor I would like to mention and I think her name is doctor smith. I will never forget her she is truly a blessing to this world. Thank you to all the staff and medical personal who took great care of me.

My favorite Hospital in Nola. If I need a test done I always ask “can I go to Baptist?” The staff here is excellent everywhere. Professionalism is the norm. It’s very clean. Wait time is minimal. Parking is easy and free. I can’t think of one negative thing to say. Love Baptist!!

I was feeling awful but hesitant and nervous to go to e r. since my insurance was cancelled. I took a chance and went to my neighborhood hospital, Oschner Baptist. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted warmly by the Security Guard who led me to the sweetest lady at the registration desk. I immediately told her that I feel bad for not having insurance right now but Ill be covered again soon, she assured me that I would be taken care of, no worries. Turns out I have pneumonia. The nurses explained everything and listened to my concerns with empathy. The staff treated me so kindly and with so much dignity and respect that I was moved to tears when I got home. From the security guard to the P.A., I felt welcome. I will never forget this e.r. visit.

Ochsner is where you go when you give up on medical care. Very slow service, no communication between departments, no follow up and no follow through. Its pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel for health care in New Orleans.

Everyone from the reception desk all the way to the doctor were extremely kind and helpful, which made an nervous experience a lot easier. They were very informative and before leaving I was very much at ease.

My visit was very thorough and I the provider focused on my needs/concerns. There was a wait time of 45 minutes from check in to seeing the midwife face to face which was a bit of a hassle but once I saw her it was a wonderful visit.

The entire medical staff, from imaging to the hand orthopedic clinic, was excellent! All were delightful and very helpful, including the entrance greeter, receptionists, x-ray techs, nurses, and Doctors.

My doctor really listened to me and asked thoughtful questions. It felt nice to be ‘seen’.

I am so thankful for the staff here! I am 33 weeks pregnant, and I have been dealing with multitudes of complications. My normal OB is fairly minimal with his responses and how thorough he will be with my concerns. When I came here for my high-risk appointment, all of my concerns were addressed in depth, and they eased my nerves for the first time throughout this whole pregnancy! From the MD I saw in Maternal Fetal Medicine, to the multiple women who aided with my examination in Emergency OB, and the woman who conducted my bilateral ultrasound in Imaging, they were all so kind hearted and thorough. Thank you all so much.

The staff is rude. Ive been here for over three hours this morning and have seen no one but people that have come well after me with no visible injuries have been taken back.I have asked for help until times I have asked if other people in front of me and Im told no then. Ive watched taking in front of you multiple times then my two multiple times staff thats here on this date February 22nd 3 in the morning to be the very rude inconsiderate untrained and see everything in their power to make people more comfortable

Absolutely amazing hospital to have a baby. Everyone from my wife’s OB to the nurses, techs, phlebotomists, pediatricians, lactation consultants, on-call OBs, and housekeeping were absolutely fantastic. The food was pretty good too! I highly recommend Baptist as everyone did a great job being extremely thorough and making us feel comfortable. Everyone was so compassionate and kind it makes me want to visit again just to thank everyone. Words cannot express how appreciative I am to these people - it motivated me to be more actively compassionate and helpful to others. Keep doing what you’re doing Ochsner!

The staff here is very friendly and the facilities are clean. I did not have to wait very long at all to be received and checked in to the emergency room. The nurses and doctor were friendly and all the testing did not take long to get back. The only issue I had was with parking, there are no clear directions where visitor parking is so I just parked in a parking garage and found my way to the emergency room.

I recently went to Ochsner Baptists Emergency Room due to sever abdominal pain. The experience was wonderful, which is not normally the case with emergency room visits. Everyone was very communicative, attentive and my pain was managed quickly so that I could focus and function. They gave me an estimate of how long I could expect to wait for each step of my visit and everything ran very close to that schedule. Being in the hospital for any reason usually creates anxiety so it was very nice to have that recognized and addressed in such a professional and thoughtful way. Bravo!

These people really love what they do!Our baby had to be transferred to the NICU here and it’s the best thing that’s ever happened. He’s being so well taken care of!
