I am an RN from another state and have been taking care of my brother for the past nine months. We have had experience with the medical surgical floor, emergency room, surgery and the cancer center. I have been extremely impressed with not only the level of care that he received but with the degree of compassionafforded by all that we have come into contact with. Thank you LUMC for excellent care and for training your staff to live up to your mission of providing compassionate care.

I’ve been here for five days in the Med/surf unit and I give the hospital the highest rating. Everyone taking care of me has been great and that’s really surprised me. The doctors, nurses, techs, social worker, even the people from housekeeping have been great working with me and around me. As I get ready to leave here today, I just wanted to say thank you to all of them for their kindness, and their care!

I’m was visiting from NYC…admitted 7/1/2021, discharged 7/3/2021. Treated me like I was Family. Showed me much attention, respect, and kept me informed of all procedures along the way. I pray that God will continue to Bless the Hospital Staff in it’s entirety, from the Security department to the Treating Physicians and all others that I failed to mention. GOD BLESS… LJG from NYC.

I had a wonderful experience at LCMC today. Upon arrival there was a mixup with my appointment, but Daphne and Brittany at the front desk went out of their way to help get things cleared up. They were awesome! I ended up seeing a resident, Dr. Jahnavi, and she was an absolute light. I felt extremely comfortable and relaxed in her care which isn’t always easy to find. The doctors spent time with me and didn’t make me feel rushed, they were personal and addressed all my concerns and answered my questions. I had blood work done and received my results online within a few hours. From reception, to the nurses, doctors, and lab tech, everyone was super friendly and lovely. Thanks ladies! I’ll be back! :)

I have had two scheduled dentist appointments and have yet to have anything done! The x ray machine is always broke. No one calls you reschedule your appointment. I have had the workers in the dentist department wait until I get all the way here to tell me I can’t be seen. Instead of calling so I don’t have to miss two days of work for nothing. All the workers do is make excuses instead of trying to fix the problem. They really do not care or show considerations to the patients. I HAD TO MISSED TWO DAYS OF WORK AND PAY FOR A BABYSITTER FOR THEM TO TURN ME AWAY. They didn’t even get me other options like getting my X-rays sent here which I had to throw a fit and get rude for them to give me options. I am giving three stars star because the dentists are super nice and really try to resolve the problem. If not for them, I would have give 0 stars because the workers are unorganized and do not give all information before arriving or call to cancel appointments. Highly upset and disappointed!!!!! I have already called your experience team and put in a complaint. Get the X-ray machine fixed it’s been more than a month already!

They took my boyfriends phone, wallet, everything without permission. Didn’t give him anything back till he was leaving. I called to see what was going on with him and they told me he wasn’t even there or in the system. This hospital is not worth it!

I was just kicked out of the emergency room with my mom. She doesn’t speak English and she suffers from Alzheimer’s and won’t remember anything and did not understand that I have to be with her. They said because of COVID only the patient can be inside. They kicked me out with the police just because I didn’t want to leave my mother alone in the waiting room. They have a very rude lady in the receptionist lobby. Every time is something I visit the hospital is a bad experience. I do not recommend this hospital at all

They ppl in the patient advocate office act like they the dont care nor follow up have made 6 complaints now 7th left feeling like the dont care from admin office talks to you any old way and tell you to go to another hospital and probably wont be held accountableMy mds are great the doctors are good but the administration and many other staff need a re haul stagnant and not caring nice big modern hospital with antiquated staffThey mess up you appt schedule you whatever time they want never check if time and dates are fine with you then they dont call you to even let you know date scheduled or rescheduled get it together sad Ive been to many hospital and they tend to have this happen after many years of operations but this hospital to new for all these problems looking bad

They saved my love ones life but when he was in level 3 they did not do a good job of looking out and now he is back at level 4 due to bleeding of the brain hopfully they save him again. They try to discharge too quick aswell.

Have been sitting in the ER waiting room for 10 hours in pain from a kidney stone and not a single person who works here can give me a solid answer of when Ill be seen. They wont even go ask a doctor if I can get something for pain. The ladies behind the desk are rude and completely unprofessional. I recommend going to a different hospital at all costs.

JUst got escorted out of hospital by police my wife and I have stayed day and night for the last 9 nights no questions no problems until tonightDrs actually pushed for us to stay to keep my father in law calm He actually cried when they made me leave. Happy Father’s Day to him!Drs and nurses have been great until today The longer he is there the more frustrated certain ones get. I actually heard them laughing when I went get them to come clean him up after an accident Just appalling! I just don’t get that two people during the day and one at night , that’s three different people when it was just two of us the whole time . So they say because of COVID? Less chance with the same two people than 3! The drs even tried to get administration to let us stay but no compassion there either . Hopefully he will be out to rehab tomorrow.Sincerely disappointed 😢and your standard reply with a phone number is not worth two cents I know that a company monitors your social media and has standard processing for replying I actually work for a company that does this .

I am from out of town and needed urgent care before traveling. I waited 15 hours to be seen, and that was only because I had a breakdown when I learned that another person was placed before me on the list. A doctor stepped in to see me after I started crying. All I needed was a 5 minute appointment and prescription and somehow nobody could figure out how to manage that. Me and about 10 other patients were left in the lobby overnight with no information about when we might be seen or helped in any way. We had all been triaged at about hour 3, so we couldn’t leave or else our money would have been wasted. After 6 hours we thought surely we would be seen soon. After 10 hours we couldn’t leave or else we would have wasted all that time. Our family was not allowed in the lobby with us because of covid. Since we didn’t have a car, my husband had to sleep outside. If someone had given us any indication as to how long we would be waiting, he would have gotten an Uber back to our hotel while they were still available. At about 2:30am he was stranded there. Patients and staff of the hospital are allowed to walk around the lobby without masks, but having one family member with you is completely out of the question. Then a security guard had the audacity to yell at him for staying outside the lobby overnight. He didn’t have any other options, they don’t have a single bench or chair for any family or friends waiting outside. Your nurses do not care at all about their patients, if they did they would help us by explaining what we can expect by visiting this ER. Nobody would tell me where I was at on the list or estimate how long I could expect to wait. When I checked in at 5:30 pm, I asked the woman at the front desk how long she thought it might be and she said “a minute.” I would be ashamed if I was in charge of this facility. I have never experienced such neglect from people who are supposed to be helping me. You completely abandoned a dozen patients last night. If I acted the way your staff acts I would be embarrassed.

This is a place that doesnt care about patients. My father had a referral due to possible cancer. The referral states for him to be seen ASAP. It has been three weeks and no one would return the calls. People would hang up on you and would not help you with anything. We tried to call multiple times and now they just stop picking up.

We are in The ultrasound department after My surgeryMy wife was in the waiting room I was in the Ultrasound room when an active shooter was announced over the PA. The receptionist tells my wife that she needs to leave the reception area, my wife looks at her and says where would you like me to go!However a man came out the back and ask my wife Why she was there and she informed him that I was in the back and then heInstructed the receptionist to place her in the room with me. But seriously she was supposed to go in the hallway where the potential active shooter could’ve been. What amazes me is that they practice about fire drills,hurricane evacuation , floods They have dedicated code blue people. But they have no protocol for active shooter.Seriously don’t go here unless you have to!!Rules for me but not for thee!

You’ll be sitting in the waiting room for 8 hours and will be told that that’s just what you have to deal with. These people act as if your problem is nothing and you should sit and deal with it because it’s not them. Their police officer will do nothing to defend the building but only his ego as he sits there and argues with hurt patients. Do not go here unless you want to never be seen.

I had a very long & complicated total knee replacement surgery on the day everything was being shutdown. My surgeon was worried about me & not only my leg but me as a person. I was informed that I was the last patient able to have what some call elective surgery. This Doctor saved my use of my leg and the nerve thats very hard to save.I am still in therapy because pandemic caused therapy off by 5 weeks. This Doctor was upset because we had to video apps & felt bad.I am going to tell like I told her Stop feeling bad you saved my leg. I also told her stay safe the World is a better place with her in it. There are compassionate & exceptional doctors you just have to believe. 4-ever grateful to Dr. Cohen-Rosenblum & her team. I’ve visited this clinic twice now, and they left me waiting in the exam room for nearly an hour and a half the first time, and 50 minutes today...after having seen the nurse. I had to go to the nurse station today after 35 minutes waiting to get a doctor in to see me. The doctor who came was only vaguely aware of the information I had provided in my first visit. They are either grossly over booked or negligently under staffed. I would recommend going anywhere BUT here. If there were a zero star option I would have chosen that.

Absolutely terrible. First of all, it took 45 minutes for an ambulance to get to my husband. I had to call 911 twice. Then when I got there (wasn’t allowed to ride with my husband because of dumb Covid) I wasn’t allowed in. They didn’t even seem like they knew who I was referring to at first when I got there and asked about him. Then I was told I would get a phone call. 1.5 hours later I get a phone call saying he was just put in a room and that I would be called with more info shortly. Another 1.5 hours go by and nothing. So I went in to at least give him his belongings and I was finally allowed it. They didn’t do anything to him that whole time! He got a urine sample which they left sit on the counter yet and never even ran. We were very clear about what happened and reiterated MULTIPLE times that it was NOT alcohol intoxication he was there for ( he only had 1/4 of a daiquiri) and what did the discharge papers say- instructions for ALCOHOL INTOXICATION and how to prevent suicide. WHAT THE F**K! So they didn’t listen to us at all, brushed it off stating it was nicotine intoxication, the doctor talked to him for 2 seconds and didn’t do shit to him. Just an absolute shit experience. Don’t go here. They could give 2 shits about you.

I have had surgery at this hospital removing my saliva gland and have been seeing the doctors in the rheumatology dept for the last couple of years. The doctors and nurses are wonderful. I get the best care from everyone. I recommend university to anyone looking for a doctor.

UMCI never leave reviews, but I’m writing this one as a PSA. Do not go to this hospital/clinic if you have a choice. I, unfortunately, did not. I was sent here because for some reason Medicaid would not cover a rheumatologist except for the ones here. First, I needed a referral from my primary doctor (at Oschner) before they would even consider giving me an appointment. That took weeks, which turned into months. There was no communication on their end. My doctor sent them the patient referral multiple times only for it to get ignored or overlooked. They kept saying they never received it. I could never get through to anyone on the phone so I finally ended up going into the hospital to get it sorted out. Then of course they wouldn’t book an appointment until they received test results from my doctor that warranted the referral and of course it was impossible for them to get that digitally so I had to print out every test result from all my bloodwork (which was a lot) and physically bring it in just for them to scan and hand back to me. Then no one ever told me they even went ahead and booked an appointment for me. I even called multiple time’s after to follow up with no luck. I only found out because they called me to cancel said appointment and then called back to say they were mistaken and my appointment was scheduled for the following month and they got the date wrong. No reminder, no email, no notification, even after I gave them ALL of my contact info and asked to please be sent the details for my appt. Still nothing. I show up the day of and the staff was very unprofessional. Spent more time carrying on with each other and ignoring patients than being helpful or efficient. Seemed like they could not be bothered to deal with patients and when asked for assistance or direction just gave short, minimal responses. The signage ended up being more informative than the staff. Waited about 2 hours just to get blood drawn and was forgotten about then told to come back the following day because everyone was clocking out at 5:00 (my appointment was for 2:00). I’m only giving one star because the doctors were thorough and attentive. Everything else, terrible. Dreading having to go back for the rest of my testing. Also, what hospital makes you pay for parking!?

[Optical Center Suite 1460] Receptionist and intake nurse were both courteous and professional. Dr Ta (Tao?) really went out her way to give a thorough eye exam. Toook the time to explain each part in clear and concise detail.If you are worried about certain eye disorders brought on by age, or need an optical prescription--come here. Very professional service and reasonable prices.

There’s no communication among staff on the day of my procedure. I was told during phone interview a week before my surgery to check in at 3-3:30am for check-in and surgery is at 5:30am. On the day of the procedure, not only I was on time and did the everything they asked. I got there at 3:15am and let the front desk know about my procedure at 5:30. I was informed that I have to wait until 5am because nobody was up in the operating area. I checked in and registered at 5am. I am waiting for 6 hours while everybody behind me just came and went. The nurse reception asked if someone checked on me, I said no. She was shocked. I’m giving at least two stars due to the nurse was doing her best to keep me from getting agitated and almost call to cancel everything.

Please don’t send your loved ones here for “treatment” at the psych ward. I am now completely traumatized to go to the hospital and have even more PTSD. They did nothing to help me mentally at all. Woke me up while I was sleeping (under blankets bc they won’t turn out the lights) to forcefully give me a sedative shot. Mimicked and mocked me when I asked for water and the medication I am prescribed to take twice daily (which was never given to me). Very sad and inhumane. I woke up with panic attacks in the middle of the night for weeks after my stay here.

I was waiting about 45 minutes to be seen after cutting my thumb almost in half. They had me wait another 5 hours (not telling me when I would be seen). At which point I left to go to Tulane University Hospital. Tulane saw me, x-ray, and stitched me up within 1 hour. This incident was about 2 years ago.

The staff in the ER last night on 10/19/19 from 11pm till shift, was amazing! Kayla has great bedside manners and was so polite. Kerby that does transportation throughout hospital, like to ultrasound and X-ray, was kind as well. Residents and Dr’s were all greatly appreciated! I want to thank y’all and keep doing what y’all are doing! ☺️

I use to live in New Orleans and I had my first two operations at Tulane hospital. I will give them credit because they did save my life but I had to have a second operation because they screwed up the first one. I had bad experiences at that hospital and didnt want to go back to Tulane for my third operation. I went to UMC and had my third operation and I am so glad I did. I got excellent care and my doctor was one of the best.I highly recommend UMC and trust the staff with my life.

Is it the best hospital/clinic - no. Is it the worst hospital/clinic - no. Wait times can be long and draining and most of the staff act like they would much rather be not bothered with us pesky patients and visitors. But on the flip side, its clean and an updated facility unlike most other University Hospitals in Louisiana. My only biggest gripe about this place is, Heavens forbid if you ever need to call them for anything. 99.9% of the time nobody ever answers the phone. IF you do manage to get a human who answers that 00.1% of time, expect to hear Ill transfer you to that department, of which youre connected to an forever ring of nobody answers. So setting up, rescheduling, or canceling an appointment can be an daunting process. Best to set up your account over on their Patient Portal of their website. Although limited in features, its the only lifeline between you and your doctor -sadly.

... we have been in Trauma ICU for a few days and should be here a few more. We are going through a life altering event. The Doctors are are taking care of my unnamed person, the nurses have been so helpful but I have to say to the two rock stars Jordan and Alex you really don’t know how much your care is helping this family keep it together. You make her days so much better when you’re around. Right now her spirit is so important. The other nurses are great as well. In fact the one today I believe will be just as great and has been so far today, but Jordyn and Alex have made worlds of difference. Seeing her smile is such a warming feeling at this time and with you two I see that smile so much more. Not sure if either of you will ever see this but if you do I want you to know how appreciative and thankful our family is that you were brought into our lives at the most difficult moment of our lives. So thank you...really... thank you!H

Pretty terrible to be quite frank. As a person with severe heart failure/chest pain/nearly having a heart attack they leave you waiting in a waiting room for over 5 hours to let people who pretend their back hurts in order to get pain meds and get high go ahead of you . Very disappointed. They should prioritize the patients actually seeking medical treatment for their deadly illnesses.

My Nurses Renata and April in the Endocrinology Department 2B floor are the best! They go above and beyond. Dr. Samana and Dr. David and both the Endocrinology Head Supervisor always care for me and are so concerned. I Appreciate them. They make my situation feel better sometimes I forget I’m there for Pituitary Gland issues. After I laugh and have conversation with them. They are very professional and caring on every visit. They always give the best Health and Hospitality. Thank you Endocrinology Department

Horrible. You will sit for hours in a room w/o seeing a nurse.. Arrived at 10 am to pick my wife up and as of 5pm we are still here. Just sitting in a room. Her sheets have not been changed in 3 days. They dont clean the rooms. Just bad overall. If tou jave a choice go elsewhere.

I was diagnosed with a severe bacteria of my kidney that is causing severe pain was drugged up on Dilaudid morphine and the drug Fentanyl.. with all the medications together it almost shut down my organs such as my liver brought my alt and AST is up to almost 400 eachTo be told that I am a street-walking drug addict that does not do drugsSo since I am a street-walking drug addict in their eyes when they are the ones that gave me the drugs they refuse to treat me for the bacterial infection and wants to release me with no antibiotics!Now out of the four days that I have been here I have not received anyting that would help me relieve myself in the bathroom which can cause other problems. I have been threatened with the police because I asked for an antibiotic and if they can give me something to use the bathroomThis is the worst place to come to if you are in dire need of help!! They use me as a pincushion bruised up my arms messed up my veins and act as if I did it to myself. I believe thats called slander in malpractice!! I also refused the medicine Oxycontin back in 2014 I was told if I did not take Oxycontin for pain I wasnt getting anythingI didnt know that the hospital was in the business to turn people into drug addicts I thought they were there to help people but if you are not a drug addict and you refused medications that are very harmful they refuse you treatment.In 2014 I have received my last surgery here which was replacing my bladder and to my body due to a car accident of 2013 at that time I was told I had IC disease Interstitial cystitis!.. dr. Sullivan wheres my OBGYN for the surgery that never taught me how to use the bathroom or cath myself she thought it was funny to send me back home with no way to urinate.It became a problem where I sought out other medical attention from other providers and quit going to the doctors until I had this flare up! I thought since my kidneys were acting up this would be the place to come back to but obviously I was wrong! If you are a drug addict and you were willing to take their drugs and sell their drugs for them you can get whatever half as treatment they offered! If you want to die with some type of infection this is the place to come to

I have a cholesteatoma in my left ear the ent clinic sent to get cat scan which I payed for because they needed it to surgically remove it but they refuse to operate because i cannot pay i tried to get financial help but they said I dont qualify for help this has been the worst experience of my life i hope they treat the poor person better than they did me thanks.

I honestly hope and pray that it is never any of the staffs loved ones involved in a tragic accident not of thier doing. They were horrible they knew he did not have a good outcome. The doctors words were unsurviable but they still refused his family access ... my heart is broken and I never got to say goodbye ... its okay blame covid or Trump or whatever you want but it only takes a pure heart to feel ... Update!! I lost time and money at this hospital! No communication at all what so ever. If a doctor tells you that your implant will be in 2 weeks it should be in within 2 weeks. Its been 3 weeks. No response from the doctor at all! I paid $980 for this part, and I cannot even get a response from the doctor. I left messages a week ago and yesterday. The nurse says the doctor will respond within 24 hours. Nope, no response at all! I may need to report their failure to communicate to the corporate. If nothing changes within a few days, I will get a refund. This is sorry customer service! UPDATED! 3 weeks go by. I call the dental clinic, and I ask to speak to a supervisor. I had to leave a message again. My doctor (Bradley Lee Moses) finally calls after 3 weeks of no response. He tells me that they are no longer doing dental implants as of June. I went to all these appointments for nothing! I did all the CT scans for nothing. I went to two apartments for nothing! 2 months wasted at this clinic! Im not paying the bill for the unnecessary CT scan since I cannot use it for the bone graft that I was going to get at this clinic. I paid $980. He says I will receive a refund check in 1-2 weeks. Why the hell did you even let me pay if you were not going to do the surgery in the first place! I gave you $980 to pretty much hold for a month for me! I will lose money when I cash the check! I lost time and money at this hospital! Sorry!

Pros: Most of the doctors and nurses are very professional. I would give 8 out of 10 for the medical level. We truly appreciated the prefect treatment, they are a group of angels.Cons:1, The calling center is horrible, so surprised that they dont have the triage nurse. So if you have any questions (urgent/non-urgent), errr, I have no idea what to do......2, Some of the registration staffs are extremely unprofessional, one day my husband and I was waiting in the lobby for the appointment. My husband was a little bit restless since he just did surgery and the waiting was over 4hrs. Then the lady at reception desk kept staring at him like she found something funny. So I went over and explained to her, she totally didnt move her eyes away from my husband while I was talking to her until I ask if she can hear me..... I dont know whats wrong with her, but her weird smile and staring make us feel so uncomfortable. As a hospitals employee, she should have the basic sympathy and respect even though she has no medical knowledge.

UMC is one of the best places to go if ones in need of surgery because for my understanding they have the top-of-the-line and surgeons. But if youre wanting to get Immediate Care 4 something that you feel needs immediate attention you may be there for a wait. The nurses in the emergency room reception area sometime seem to be overwhelmed with their job and dont seem too friendly at times. But it is a hospital not a place to make friends. And again UMC is the best as far as Im concerned when it comes to surgeries

The only thing this facility has going for it is the latest operating rooms and equipment. Other than that, this is an absolutely terrible hospital. Their infection control in certain places is poor. Many of the technicians are inexperienced. The physicians are not coordinated. The recovery room didnt control my pain and properly tend to me. Resident physicians were not available in the middle of the night. It took 5 1/2 hours to receive prescription medication. There were a few nurses and physicians that were kind and did a good job, but there was such an overabundance of inefficient personnel to make me never want to step foot in the place again. The building is a one off custom made structure that the State of Louisiana will not be able to maintain. In 15 to 20 years, the UMC facility will look like the old Charity Hospital after 60 years. As I was told by a physician friend; the place is a pig with lipstick. If possible, I highly suggest you avoid the place.

Been to orthopedic on the 4th floor and Ive been 4 times. February 7,2019 @ 2pm was the time for appointment I got there at 12:15 and was called to triage 5 minutes later and from there to a room where I waited until 10 minutes till 2pm and at that time I got validated for parking and I left. Its enough that I have driven there from New Iberia, LA., but to wait 2 hours for nothing is unacceptable. Then Ive done this 4 times. All anyone can tell me is that Im here for a follow-up when I need a knee replacement, but nothing is being done. The doctors say do therapy and I do then when i finished therapy I still cant get a knee replacement. I fall numerous times and yet I still cant get a thing done for my knee. Im just upset at the doctors. Im tired of the run around that Ive been enduring. Some thing needs to be done about the way some of us get the run around especially when traveling from out of town. I cant speak for anyone else, but I guess that one really does have to be half dead for your hospital to do anything. Thanks for wasting my time, ill take my business else where.

A friend of mine had an accident and I went with him to the ER, where we (he) received: lightning-fast service, and extremely competent attention from the nurses, techs, and doctors, who all have the best bedside manners.The ER staff at UNO not only helped my friend with his wounds, they also provided high levels of satisfaction out of what is typically expected to be a painful experience in-and-of itself.

I saw Dr Meredith Warner in the Orthopedic department. I WALKED in on my own with no assistance. She told me after the surgery that I would be walking in a boot in about 2 weeks. She has now performed 3 surgeries and I have not been able to walk without the assistance of a walker, crutches or a cane since. I am now considered partial disabled and if the statute of limitations had not expired while she was still preforming surgeries I would have definitely considered a malpractice suit because I was not disabled when I first went to see her!

For days, I have been calling the GI & Urology department. Maybe 1/30 calls were picked up. When the call was picked up the first time, I was greeted by a rude lady. All I wanted to know was what the appointment date and time was because I did not receive a letter in the mail yet (I needed to find a ride to the hospital since Im in pain.) She gave me a date but no time and said that I would receive the letter in the mail with the date and time. She REFUSED to give me a time.The next time I called, the same lady picked up after 9 times of calling, and immediately had an attitude. After I asked her for the appointment date and time, she IMMEDIATELY had another attitude and said she already told me itll come in the mail. Finally, she told me the date and time after chastizing a bit more after. She didnt even have the genorosity of saying bye; she just hung up.

Everyones nice trust me my husband was in ICU for a month and total almost 3month hospital stay, Restaurants, Pjs til 1am, ChickFilet PopUp every Thursday, great outside fenced secured courtyards, Walgreens pharmacy downstairs 1st floor off the lobby and a parking garage validated w/your appts, They get 1000 applications a month so its the best and newest outstanding destination for medical careers

I am really impressed by the level of care given to my brother. He had triple-bypass surgery. I was kept informed of his status throughout, and the care and attention he was afforded post-op was of the best Ive ever witnessed. I am 65 and have been in and around several hospitals across the country. University is by far the best and cleanest, with the most attention to patient care that I have ever seen. Ive told my family that if anything ever happens to me, Take me to University Medical.

Ive worked many years in the medical field, and at several hospitals. I know a Top Notch Facility when I see one. The State of LA really outdone themselves with this new building. UMC is known for their number one Trauma Care; the main entrance is embellished with a beautiful hanging work of art, that is known as a chandelier, the lobby areas are furnished with colorful modern furniture, and the medical staff gives very good patient care. There was a time, I was a recipient of this facility, and I greatly appreciate everything the doctors, nurses, CNAs, medical assistants, respiratory therapists, x-ray team, and environmental specialist did for me. My father had a heart attack and the EMT brought him here. The next day they called and said that by the time he arrived he was already brain dead and machines where what was keeping him alive. Knowing that he wished to not be kept alive this way my grandmother and I decided to go there so that they could pull the plug. We waited for three hours before the doctor even saw us. They knew we were there, but the doctor just didnt show up for that long. Then they said that after they unplugged him that it may take hours for his body to stop breathing on its own. Had the doctor come faster then my father would have been able to pass sooner instead of lingering. During our stay in the waiting room there was no peace and quiet. They let this large group of people hang around and make noise without telling them anything. If this is the amount of care they show for a brain dead man whos family is waiting to let him pass then I fear for how they treat others. This place should honestly get sued for malpractice and be shut down.

Send a confirmation without an address or time. No human available for check-in- charge for parking and I didnt bring cash. Hope I can get out. Computer phone system completely unuseful. Got address of hospital from friend and drove around until I found someone (not connected with the clinic) who told me where to park. Kept asking questions until I found clinic and another patient to help me sign in. Its good. I came an hour and a half early. I hope the actual providers are better than their other systems.

After waiting 2 hours in the inpatient reception area for my sister having surgery, I asked the receptionist (thats job would be reception) if she could give me an update on my sister and she said I know as much as you know.... WTH? Why is this person here?? Fyi my wait has been since 9 so 7 hours total but in inpatient for 3 hours for a surgery that wasnt suppose to take this long. Still cannot get anyone to answer the phone. When, after over 10 minutes on hold, I was disconnected. Called back, was on hold for over 6 minutes, was disconnected. I called back a 3rd time, was on hold for a short time, and someone actually answered the phone.The person who answered was so unbelievably rude, unprofessional, and obviously without a clue about how to answer my question, I was stunned. I was literally speechless for a few seconds.All that has happened, as far as I can tell, is the same inefficient system and people have been moved to a pretty new building that destroyed a neighborhood, screwed up traffic for months, and cost millions to build.When I went to the hospital, things were just as bad.I was so hopeful that things would be better in the new building, that the people who deal with the public would be better trained, that patients wouldnt be seen as a bother, but rather the reason for the hospitals being, that the treat em and street em attitude would have changed, but it is all exactly the same.It may be more attractive to look at on the outside, but it is still rotten to the core.
