I was subject to 6 days of no hot water no socks or shoes being made to go in the bathroom and spread germs not only to myself but to other patients staff are abusive and unconcerned with patient care

If I could give less than 1 star I would. For 5 days I was denied a shower, I was always told that I needed to ask the next shift. I never got a chamge of clothes for 5 days. Some of the staff was nice but most were rude and dismissive. The first day I was there I hadnt seen a doctor yet but was given medication to take without water, the pill got stuck in my throat and literally burned it from it dissolving. The plumbing was a mess there was a very large puddle in front of the only bathroom that was there the whole time I was a patient. I was denied phone calls and never received messages that people had called for me. The level of cleanliness, patient care, human compassion were despicable. I hope this place gets shut down or at least gets management that actually cares.

The women and men is to shower and use the same restroom. The staff don’t monitor the patients. They had a big fight inside the facility involving a patient and staff member. The food is horrible. They put you on medication that has nothing to do with your diagnosis. This facility is not up to par. If you don’t have an support team outside a lot of disgusting/horrifying thing will go unknown. This facility is a nightmare. I was place here for severe depression. And no longer wanting to live 😭😢☹️ So I was admitted to this facility well I was abused and unsafe this place only re triggered my childhood traumas. The staff is very judgmental which the facility should be a no judgment zone. This is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever been to. This hospital need to be demolished. This is not a safe place for no one.

Put my son on Intunive which when look up is for high blood pressure and or adhd Medication does not work for traumatic brain injury. My son was put in this hospital twice. My son does better with an anticonvulsant. He is finally being seen by a neurologist which says he had hypoxia when born and a concussion when he went to school. The doctors need to learn pharmaceutical medication for people who have conditions like my son.

I work at Community Care Hospital and have witnessed some great work and dedication by staff treating some of the most difficult cases. Most clients who come to our facility are not voluntary and come with much resistance. Our overall objective is to provide a safe place for clients and get them through the acute crisis they are dealing with. It’s not always pretty and every situation is different, we as staff dedicate ourselves to handle each client with compassion, kindness and caring!! If one our team members does not meet these standards we welcome feedback!!!! We will continue to strive to provide the best care to all our clients.

A family member was sent to Community Care Hospital for severe depression and substance abuse. He ended up in a local emergency room and was sent to Community Care Hospital. Although he was very resistant to receive treatment, the hospital staff was able to calm him down and assist with his medication, and enroll him in a rehab facility. He is now doing great and we are very thankful for this intervention in his life.

I admitted myself for depression. On day 2 of my stay, I became very sick (103.3 fever). It took over 36 hours before I was assessed by the nurse practitioner. I was also given my discharge date on day 1 and despite my being very sick, the doctor refused to discharge me so I could get further medical help. There are a few mental health techs that were helpful and kind but overall the staff didnt want to be bothered. I wouldnt even send my cat to this hospital.

😰😨😱This place is a effing dump!! Even If I had the power I wouldn’t commit Trump here. The only thing keeping me from contemplating burning this place to the ground is the terrifying prospect of being committed here. But, hey, let’s give em the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was the floor our loved one was on 👎🏾

This place is a nightmare. I was placed here for severe depression and the staff could not care less about their patients. They were lazy and obviously had no concern for the well being of the people there. It felt more like a holding tank than anything else, and I came out of it nearly worse than when I came in. It is also co ed, and sexual harassment is very common between patients (It happened to me). Please avoid going or being sent here at all costs.

This place deserves negative stars. That anyone’s loved one is sent here is a tragedy. You get ZERO help. Treated like a criminal. They try to put you on all kinds of drugs. This place is like a prison.

This place has some good staff but mostly horrible. They treat everyone as if they are mentally ill, no matter what issue they are having. Whether youre an addict, depressed, schizophrenic - doesnt matter. They treat you like a child and like you are nothing. They havent prescribed my prescription for a day and a half now and its necessary for my mental health. Youre better off in prison than this place. May god be with whoever gets stuck there.

If Dr. Ismail is still associated with this facility--you should be informed that rape, robbery and barbaric treatment in the Seclusion Room are waiting for you. An illegal immigrant called the cops on me on Vouray Street in Jefferson Parish--I was lost and looking for a house to buy. I was in a nightmare neighborhood; the listing agent was a horrible woman, May Landry. You arrive unconscious at Communty Care Hospital on General Taylor Street. You are denied food and water for over twelve hours and illegally drugged. Female patients dont stand a chance. The night staff are thugs who finger, bruise and yes--rape patients--these are the perks for them. You can be held in this facility for as long as Dr. Ismail wants--all your civil liberties vanish. When you leave, any cash you had on you will have been stolen. The relatives of some of these patients dump older or mentally challenged relatives off here so they can go on vacation. PLEASE read this review and take it to heart. If you escape this place with your life, you will consider yourself fortunate. I am not mentally ill--I am a retired college professor and an internationally-know poet and childrens book author. Dr. Ismail should be arrested, prosecuted, put in prison or deported as soon as legally possible

The professionalism sucks. I was calling to talk with a family member and the lady told me I had the wrong number and hung up on me. I had to call back several times. Just about everyone who answered the phone had a attitude.

Its an on going battle between staff on staff. Theirs no togetherness here. Everyone is against each other. Most of the staff are lazy and dont have no care for the patients at all. They talk bad about the patients and treat them like their not human beings. I guess Im the only one that really cares and cater to these patients. And some staff hate me for that.

The worst experience of my life. The nurses and techs treat everyone like preschoolers. Everyone (co- ed) is kept together; whether youre depressed, bipolar, schizophrenic, an addict, or have dementia. There was 1 functioning (filthy) bathroom for 12 patients on the floor I was on. I overheard a tech say that she doesnt get paid enough to clean it (it was filthy with all sorts of human waste). This place needs to be shut down- unfortunately, someone thats been a patient there to witness the horrors doesnt really have a credible opinion. Please dont allow your friends or family to stay there. Community Care Hospital is the type of place that scary movies are made from. If youre not crazy before you go in- youll be crazy when you leave.
