Not the best customer service. I had three visit with a specific doctor here who still has given me no solution or diagnosis to my problem. Have given close to a thousand dollars this year to not gain any results. Extremely disappointed.

Absolutely horrible customer service at the West Jeff location and in the call center. I’ve had to call multiple times to have someone call me back to re-schedule an appointment. It’s been over a week since they’ve put in the request, I’ve been told they’re “back up”, backed up 40 hours..? In addition to the poor service, their interpersonal skills are just as bad. It’s been escalated to the scheduling manager, im hoping this doesn’t require a 4th call on my part. Medical staff was great though.Y’all check the Yelp review-they’re much more accurate- I have a feeling these reviews are fake.

Dr. Kahn.... worst person I have ever seen. Horrible bedside manor. I am 32 years old I never complain about my health, but I am young and fit and something hasn’t been right. This man let me get sick for 6 months and told me nothing was wrong with me. Now I am dealing with major GI problems when these should have been addressed and taken seriously when I began having symptoms. I feel bad for his nursing staff. They were amazing, so supportive and friendly. I love Oschner!!!! Metro GI is NOT AFFILIATED!!!!! Dr. Kahn is a money hungry surgeon who isn’t concerned about the “non emergent” cases because it doesn’t like good on his score card....

Upon entering I was greeted at the window by a very pleasant receptionist. My waiting time was short after completing my registration.Upon entering the room Dr Khan announced himself. He explained the process of the procedure thoroughly.My experience was good.Thank you,D Proctor

Very smooth experience with my procedure. Not crowded reception area. No problems. It was a bit cold in the procedure room, but they warned me about that. When one of the nurses saw that I was shivering he got me a warm sheet/blanket, which did the trick. They left one external monitor sticker on me by accident, but it peeled right off, so not a big deal. The only thing I didn’t like is that I had to sign various consent forms for the anesthesiologist while I was in the bed about to undergo the procedure, even though I had signed a bunch of other forms in the office before being called into the procedure room. Some of the consent forms provided info about risks that I hadn’t seen on the other forms. In the end, however, I would’ve done the procedure anyway, and it all worked out fine.

Dr. Mayer is the best!! Very caring, compassionate and professional doctor. Great bed side manner and never rushed. He provides details related to disease process, test and labs. He allows you the opportunity to ask questions and provides feedback. Great doctor and would highly recommended him!!!

The Ladies at the check in window were very polite and professional. The time wait was very short, the Nurse and Dr. professional and polite also. The whole staff made you feel comfortable. But the waiting area was very crowded to say that there is still a pandemic. But overall it was pleasant.

My experience was great! I was well taken care of and I loved the way they made feel as though they really cared about my comfort and well being. I also received a call from MG to see how I was doing. I was happy to tell them I was feeling fine and had no complications 😊

Dawn welcomed me in and took my information, sharing an experience she had which made me feel she was interested in me and understood how I was feeling.Dr Guider shared the results of my test with me. I was ready to say yes to the first thing he suggested, but he explained everything in detail, and helped me understand the importance of checking out other things first, so as not to undergo a procedure with risks that wasnt necessary.DeeDee was also friendly, competent, and answered all of my questions ro so with billing, and the same was true of the person who took my blood downstairs, whose name I unfortunately cant recall right now.Thank you to everyone.

I generally avoid going to the doctor but I really needed to. Dr. Mayer is great! Hes very patient & kind & took time to answer my questions & make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend him & his associates. His office staff was also very nice & helpful.

My experience with Metro GI was a excellent. As a cancer patient I was totally stressed. Their understanding and care put me at ease.

Never got to see a doctor. The front counter staff was rude, unprofessional, and didnt seem to care about a new patient. I was told I needed to reschedule since I was having trouble emailing my insurance. I was unaware of the 15 minute time limit that I had. I was never told, and they would not budge. Not to mention I was not finished filling out the stack of papers that I was given.It seemed like they couldnt wait for my unknown 15 minutes to be up. So I got upset, and unpolitely returned their clip board. This now has me bared from seeing any of the doctors associated with this group.Its ashame that these doctors maybe great, but their front desk staff is rude, and ugly to new patients. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Dr Mayer was great! It’s very rare to find a doctor who’s intelligent and thorough as well as kind, understanding and listens!

Dr. Mayer is a wonderful , caring physician. His staff is friendly AND returns calls. I was treated respectfully and kindly. He is the best!

I was Kansas vacationing and returned 4 days earlier to make a scheduled appointment. When I arrived the male receptionist informed me that it was changed to the next day. I tried to show him the reminder email that I received with this appointment time and he was not intrested. He said Oh well you are scheduled for tomorrow. I was very upset because not only did I leave my trip but I live in NOLA east and took a chance of exposure to virus on DELTA to make this appointment. I returned the next day with my attitude ready and was greeted by two amazing reps at the front desk. They set the tone for my appointment. The icing on the cake was MS. DEEDY. She introduced herself and treated me like a human. I spoke to Ms. Linda and told her about incident and how pleasant Deedy approached to me was. Yes I had a GREAT APPOINTMENT. THANKS MS. DEEDY

Dr. Herbert Mayer took the time to answer all of my questions. He was easy to understand and very knowledgeable and patient.

The staff made me feel safe. Dr. Richard Awtrey was very attentive, he’s a great doctor.

The nursing staff is diversified which is important in metro New Orleans. They are very warm and friendly. I felt as though I was a member of their family. Their demeanor, while pleasantly relaxed, presented a very professional milieu; this balance was truly refreshing.

From my arrival to departure, the professionalism along with the care of the staff was outstanding. A top shelf medical team and facility.

I absolutely adore Dr. Lemann but her staff has always been slow to call back the patients. On several occasions it has take 2 weeks to get a call back or sometimes I have received none at all. I’m not sure why this happens but it should definitely be addressed.

Dr. Mayer and staff are knowledgeable, professional and open to questioning. It is always a delight to attend an appointment at MGI.

Arrived early for my appointment as requested and had only sat down for a few minutes when I was called to see my physician. Staff is friendly and professional they treat you with respect. My appointment was during the week leading up to Christmas and everyone was in a great mood.

I was fired as a patient for not completing two treatments, one because I got better and the second because I couldnt afford the deductible at the time. Dr. Kahn is an extremely compassionate and competent GI. When he was unable to solve my issue he referred me to another doctor who specialized in my particular issue.

This group did my colonoscopy 2 years ago and I was pleased. Dr. Lily was great, I had an emergency situation via Touro ER yesterday and was instructed to call and get an appointment with Dr. Lily at Metropolitan Gastroenterology for next Monday. When I called this morning, I was told that there were no appointments available with Dr. Lily until October! The person taking the call was not helpful and offered no other options for an appointment. My point is, for anything other than a colonoscopy, Metropolitan Gastroenterology is useless if you really need them! Very poor customer service!!

Metropolitan Gastroenterologist Associates has a couple of locations in the New Orleans area, but they all have one thing in common: theyre always booked up and the service is below par (rated low on other sites too but I believe their fees are lower than other Gastroenterologist (good ones charge over $120) in the area so that’s why they continue to get booked up).Called Friday to book an appointment for the same day because I had a family member who wasnt feeling well and needed to find a gastroenterologist ASAP. Called around early in the morning and Metropolitan Gastroenterologist Associates in the Metairie location informed me they had an opening today at 10:30 b/c someone had cancelled at the last minute. I was relieved and booked the appointment immediately. When we got there, the curt receptionist informed me that my appointment was for MONDAY, not today. I almost did a 180. I know I didnt say anything about booking an appointment for Monday, but this particular receptionist informed me her computer says Monday and there is nothing she could do and I had to call their customer service number. Calling them didnt help either because they ended up repeating what the curt receptionist stated. So basically if you encounter unhelpful medical receptionists who do not know how take a sick patients appointment or end up wasting gas as well as 45 minutes of your time and on top of this you end up not seeing the doctor, this is the place for you.

Staff very nice and you get in and out of the office. TheDr.is very nice and understanding I love the way she handles your problems and she goes up and be young the in solving your problems this is what I love about Dr.Limen .A wonderful Doctor.
