A great festival in the spring along the east bank of the Mississippi in New Orleans. Several stages of music, food trucks and carts. Drink plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes. Bring a chair to sit in and cash for the food. Be careful of your surroundings.

Always one of my favorite spring festivals. No one has more stages or more food, and the acts they get are great. Its a local festival -- dont look for the Rolling Stones here, but well worth the price of admission (which is free, btw!)

Never come at this timing if youre looking for Jazz. Most stages dont play any, and when they do, its packed with locals so theres no place for outsiders.Apparently musicians dont play on streets while this festival is going on so dont expect to be able to hear anything good unless you can pay a lot.Its crowded as hell and we just ended up being tired of walking, just from looking for music to listen to.The programs dont mean anything to us. We dont know any of the artists so the programs with just the band names didnt help us at all.I think this festival just ruined our trip (and maybe even my relationship with my bf). We were unlucky.

Our French Quarter is dead except for a few tourist. Our mayor is killing us.

It was amazing to be in New Orleans during this festival. We spent the day walking and soaking in as much as we could; many stages, street performances, art, STEM kids area. Extremely glad we got to experience this festival!

The best festival in the City of New Orleans, the best festival city in the world. The French Quarter is the backdrop for this great free festival with local musicians and incredible local restaurant food vendors.

April 6, 2017It was a good day at the festival. We first ride the ferry in order to get to the other side. We went to the IMAX Theater and wanted to watch Tiny Giants 3D, but our reservation was cancelled. But its fine though. We then go to the music stage where we can listen while we sit outside. And when its time, we went back to the ferry. Its been fun at the festival.

I attended the 2017 French Quarter Festival for my first trip to New Orleans. It was the perfect blend of free live music and street-style food from all the best local restaurants. There is a solid chance that I will be attending 2018s festival as well!

How can you beat a festival that big in the perfect time of year taking up most of the French quarter for FREE !! You can’t

My favorite festival,. All the best New Orleans music and great food thats easy to get to, and easy to get shelter when it rains or gets too hot. The only thing preventing me from giving it five stars is the insane number of rude tourists and photographers who use their position to stand in front of the stage and block everyone elses view while they enjoy the show instead of taking pictures.
