I am very worried. My father is being admitted to the hospice. After reading the reviews, I am beyond worried. He has deteriorated quickly and we had to make a decision quickly. A nurse at the the hospital received Joe Raso Hospice. My father cannot speak for himself. So worried.

***UPDATE***Because, I cant respond to the response from the facility. I will put here. I have no need to contact you. My friend is no longer here with us. At this point it is too late to make anything right. I didnt want to say anything when she was alive for fear of her situation getting worse because of my complaint. I do not live in the state so I was afraid it may be taken out on her. Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where you only get one chance to make it right. Maybe some training for your staff?I recently came from out of town to visit a dear friend of mine that was here. Immediately, upon my arrival I observed the staff (a nurse) being extremely rude to the spouse of my friend, She also seemed to get easily irritated with my friend who in my opinion, may have been more demanding then some of the other patients there (she was still very young and lively at the time). It was a little shocking because I had heard such good things about the facility. My friend often complained that she was not being changed in a descent amount of time (because of her condition she had to rely of the staff to complete this task as I am sure many others do as well). She was often told to wait to be changed and cleaned.this was heartbreaking to hear and left me feeling helpless. The place is a beautiful facility but the care seemed questionable. I would think twice about staying there. My friend didnt want to.

We brought my mom here when her body couldn’t recover anymore. She had been on dialysis for 3 years and in and out of the hospital. She was 92, her last illness was one that she could not recover from. Her quality of life wasn’t there anymore so we decided to give her comfort treatment and a peaceful end to a very good life. The staff is wonderful, they focus on giving your loved one a peaceful passage, making sure they are comfortable at all times. The facility is beautiful, there are places to sit outdoors to enjoy the gorgeous setting. There even is a pond. It is very quiet and peaceful there. The staff will help your loved ones, but also you the family during your final hours together. It is such a wonderful way to give a dignified end to someone you love.In closing it was the best decision we could have made for our mother, grandmother, great grandmother that we all loved.

If you love and care for your family member do not bring them here. My mother was placed here and the nurses here do not respect or care for the people placed here and that was shown by the way she was taken care of. My mom was left overnight without being cleaned, had her container full of urine left for days, nurses would be needed and be found sleeping in the hallway... this is not a good place at all. Nurses would make jokes when hearing people staying in their facility screaming, laughing saying oh do you guys hear that, wheres that coming from?. I feel bad for anyone who is loved by someone and put here. If you have any care for who is being placed here, think again before letting them stay.. this place is not for loved ones

When further treatment wasnt an option, Joe Raso stepped in to give my husband peace and comfort. They are an amazing and compassionate group of professionals and volunteers. We highly recommend it.

In a chaotic and heart wrenching time, we found serenity in this beautiful home. The staff are the most kind and comforting people I have ever met. They treated my father as their own.
