Dr. Burra is an excellent surgeon. I saw him after several recommendations from friends and coworkers, and am I glad I did. I saw Dr. Burra for a torn labrum injury I suffered at work and after already seeing a different physician. The other physician did not really treat my complaints and told me I would have to deal with the pain and problems, part of getting older and having an injury. Dr. Burra and his staff took their time listening to my complaints, explaining why I was feeling what I was feeling, and letting me know my options. After a trial of conservative treatment with physical therapy, I ultimately needed surgery. Dr. Burra and his staff answered all of my questions, never made me feel rushed, and gave me a sense that he legitimately cared for my wellbeing. Everyone was sincere in taking care of me. I made a full recovery, have full range of motion back, and no more pain!! I have found my go-to orthopedic if I ever need anything else done! Dr. Burra will not disappoint!

After years of hard use, mostly baseball, I finally tore a rotator cuff. A pitcher on my team told me Dr. Burra really helped him and recommended him highly. Upon meeting Dr. Burra at Hinsdale Orthopaedics, I found him to be a warm guy with a sincere interest in finding the best course of treatment for me. It doesnt hurt that he is very highly credentialed. He, and his highly professional P.A.s, Drew & Ben, immediately diagnosed the tear. They hoped, as I did, that surgery wouldnt be required. However, it turned out that not only did I need surgery for the major tear in my rotator cuff, but also there was quite a bit of prior damage that had to be repaired.Dr. Burra did the surgery. Every patient is different of course but, although the extent of repairs and clean-up was substantial,. I was never in too much pain and, even better, in the first few months after surgery, I regained a full range of unencumbered motion (perhaps better than before my surgery) and have already started throwing (lightly) again. I would gladly recommend Dr. Burra for any type of orthopedic surgery. This gentlemen and his team are consummate medical professionals.

Dr. Burra and his staff make up a wonderful caring team of professionals. Dr. Burra takes the conservative approach before rushing into shots and surgery. In the end, I needed to go the surgery route and I felt VERY confident that I would have a positive result and I did. Everything was explained to the fullest to ensure my understanding. I never felt rushed or stupid for asking many many questions. My outcome was excellent and I would recommend Dr. Burra (and staff) to anyone who needs expert medical care for shoulder surgery with a very human caring attitude.

DR. Burra reconstructed both of my shoulders. They were in terrible shape due to injury. Range of motion is 100%, zero pain and strength is back to normal. He did his fellowship under Dr. James R. Andrews who is the best in the world.

I would highly recommend Dr. Giridhar Burra for your orthopedic needs. He and his team were my doctors for two total shoulder replacements. From surgery to our goodbyes, was 6 to 7 months for each shoulder, and I have total range of motion in both shoulders. Dr. Burra or one of his team members contacted my physical therapist about my progress and concerns with my rehab progress. He and his team take that extra step to ensure your progress in rehab. Dr Burra uses the newest technology and will explain the different options you can have for your injury. He and his staff make you feel part of the team when making the decisions for a solution to your pain and or injury. His team is available for a variety of appointment times, and has two location for your convince. I highly recommend Dr. Burra. I had a bad case of frozen shoulder, bicep tendonitis and an impingement. I had not been able to lift my arm over my head for over a year. Dr. Burra exhausted every avenue of treatment before performing surgery on me. He was always honest with me and provided guidance on the best course of action. I ended up needing two surgeries to fix everything but my shoulder is good as new. Im grateful to Dr. Burra and his staff for taking care of me and getting me back to 100%.

Dr. Burra has performed 3 knee surgeries, 1 elbow and 1 shoulder surgery on me. All have been great outcomes and kept me on the ice or on the field. His no nonsense approach is refreshing. He has steered me clear of surgeries where the time wasnt right also. His staff is phenomenal top to bottom as well. I only recommend Dr Burra to family and friends.

Dr Burra and Drew are a great team. My shoulder was injured back in 2017, and they took care of me, asked questions, listened when I was still hurting and ordered tests and more therapy. Dr Burra and his team got me back to work.

Dr. Burra would not listen that the pain was still there after he operated. He did not want to believe anything. Sent me back to work. Saw another doctor and now I have to have surgery again. ☹

After moving away from home in Naperville, Il to Dallas, TX, I tore my ACL playing soccer. Since my support system was in Illinois, I wanted to have the procedure done back at home. After having my reservations about Dr Burra, Because of my own Health anxieties, i did get a second opinion on my SLAP tear. All the other medical opinions of Dr Burra, and from other former patients, put my mind at ease that i was getting excellent care. He came highly recommended. He ended up performing surgery on my shoulder, and i feel great 5 days post- surgery. Minimal pain, and ive been receiving excellent care. Definitely would recommend.

This Dr Burra is a scam! He gave me a diagnosis for my knee injury that was already 6 months old and asked me to come back in 6 weeks? For what! Then he fails to put in details in my file about my knee which cost me money on my insurance claim. After I asked him to fix it, he refused and asked I make another appointment, which the office said will charge me again!

Dr Burra and his team did a great job repairing a tear in my shoulder!
