What an amazing group of professionals that make every trip enjoyable. They also have trigger point which is very unique to the chiropractic world and it is so much more effective than just normal treatments. Works well with your insurance company as well. I would highly recommend.

This place is the best thing that has happened to me in 2020! I was hit by a car crossing the street about 7yrs back. This caused bone degeneration in various places of my body and three slipped discs. Some days I lived in such intense pain and others I managed. Before I came here I was experiencing pain in my hands every single day, with headaches. And other days neck, knee, and back pain. I had no days where I had no pain at all. Since going I have had no pain in my hands at all!! And I’ve had actual days where I’ve experienced no pain for the first time in seven years! I truly from the bottom of my heart can’t thank all the workers there enough!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Everyone who works there is cheerful, knowledgeable, and professional. They truly work as a team.I like how all the facilities - medical, chiropractic, PT, and massage are all in the same area, so its very easy to go from one to another. On a personal note, I went in to see about some pain and stiffness in my lower back caused by a fall from a horse 9 years ago. After my very first session I went home and stood in the kitchen for half an hour saying in disbelief, It doesnt hurt! Im standing here, and IT DOESNT HURT.I have regained range of motion and flexibility, which I thought was lost forever. I didnt realize how much pain I was in until it was gone.Clearly, you are reading this because you have some aches or pains in your life. I have come to the starting realization that you dont have to live with pain. They CAN make it better! To me, one horror story about chiropractors is one too many. Camelback Medical is NOT the place you will find horror stories. Take a chance and trust them. Go in for a consultation. You wont regret it.

Scam/fraud alert. For my birthday, my mom got me a Groupon here to motivate me to address a small re-emergence of sciatica. Unfortunately, this place turned out to be more of a scam “wellness center” than a clinic, hospital, or other health center. The providers were nice and good at their jobs, but Camelback as a company refused to bill my insurance one visit at a time. Meaning, I had to pay for visits, services, and tests I might not want, need, or use weeks in advance (including an over $1,900 test to see what foods might cause me inflammation). They instead after my first visit contacted Blue Cross Blue Shield, calculated exactly how much money they thought I had in my HRA (health reimbursement account) and tried to get me to pay that all in one lump sum before my first non-Groupon visit. That’s over $2,800. Their thought process wasn’t wrong that I had the money in employer funds in my HRA, they were just wrong that I was going to give them all of it on one day before agreeing to specific treatments that would cost that amount (let alone receiving the treatments). Luckily, I had just used my HRA to pay a gynecologist visit bill (just over $84 after insurance, for a reference point) about 3 hours before the last Camelback visit. It was good timing to pay the bill as soon as I got the mail because that meant the total HRA amount changed, so the Camelback $2,839 charge was declined. They didn’t tell me they were charging me $2,800 when I handed them my card to put on file. The woman at the front desk was very lovely and professional in explaining what they were trying to charge me for and asked the “doctor” (DC? Not MD) to come talk to me about the billing. This poor, timid man did not know what on earth insurance is (he’s so sweet, but he said didn’t know what a tiered plan was, didn’t recognize the acronym EOB, or the phrase plan discount, and kept calling my HRA alternately an HSA or FSA even when I corrected him because he didn’t know the difference). This mild-mannered, clueless guy tried to tell me that because he had “over 20 years of experience” working with BCBS that he was contractually obligated to collect the deductible payments BEFORE a visit occurred, BEFORE it was billed to BCBS, and that as such it only made sense for me to pay just over $2,800 for 36 visits (and other treatments he “couldn’t predict”) up front. I politely told him that no other doctor in my life, including my physical therapists and chiropractors from my early 20s, had ever billed that way. You schedule the doctor’s appointment, you go to it, they bill insurance for the services performed, insurance gives you both a copy of the EOB (estimation of benefits), the provider bills you for the allowed amount determined by your insurance, and then you pay the provider that amount. If you pay at time of service, it’s because you have a copay. That’s how it works in the real world. He called Camelback’s version of billing “a gray area” (verbatim, he said that twice) that he “personally” felt had more fidelity to any provider’s contract with an insurance company. Insurance isn’t a matter of opinion. I worked in health care for years before I became a social worker, I have plenty of personal experience with health care due to chronic illnesses, and I’ve had this exact insurance plan for two years now. I know my stuff. As polite as I was, this man got very shaky and nervous and told me it just wasn’t company policy to bill per visit. He said that even if they did, it would cost over $1,100 per standard visit because of their wrap-around service model...as he sat next to their price sheet that said ~$70 for one adjustment. This was an exceedingly strange experience. I’ll just get treatment the normal way with an actual clinic (e.g. Northwestern). I guess don’t try to get health care from a company that sells Groupons haha...seems like obvious advice in hindsight. Also, I tried to give them my Groupon voucher four times and they wouldn’t write it down, kept waving it off; if they bill me for this I’m going to use the BCBS fraud report hotline.

I was told that Ill be given 40 mins for my session, for which Im paying $80.I went there for my low back , got my X-Ray done and yesterday I was getting treated for knees. First 15 mins was fine, I thought it must be part of the treatment. But when I saw my treatment card KNEES was written. Rest of 10 mins was given for low back exercise. In last Chiropractor adjusted me for 2 mins and I was done in 30 mins. What a waste of time and my money down the drain. Im not going back.

After you give this place your phone number, be prepared to be hounded. They text you and repeatedly call you to book appointments. My first day there I spent over a HOUR there for the doctor to lightly touch me on my back then tell me I possibly have a DISEASE!! They only care about making money there. The massages there are really nice, but its ruined by loud gossip and laughter from outside the door. Watch you go there and then one day your schedule prevents you from booking another appointment, watch out for the hounding calls! The adjustments from the chiropractor, I have definitely had better. If you are in Naperville definitely call around to other places that are cheaper and better. The doctors dont seem genuine there. The only good thing I have to say is that the front desk ladies were always really nice and new me by name very quickly. The massages are really good as well as the exercises given.

I developed an extremely painful condition affecting my Sciatic nerve. The pain was excruciating. My existing Chiropracter wanted to figure out what it was I was doing different and then “ stop doing it”. It did nothing for the pain. Dr McVady and the rest of the staff were sensitive, caring and very knowledgeable and got me back on the road to recovery with one week. I’ve reached abot 80% of my goal with regards to mobility. Won’t go wrong here at Camelback and it’s worth every penny
