This is my allergist and I had just taken my daughter to get checked for her allergies. (9 year old)The staff and Dr. were very polite with my daughter and explained everything that was going on so she had no surprises.I had also prepped her so that she was not scared of the tests and she did fantastic!Fortunately for her she doesnt need anything other than an over the counter medicine a few months of the year now that we know exactly what triggers her symptoms!Thank you Oak Brook Allergists!

Dr. Rubin is wonderful! I had never had any problems with allergies before and had a bad reaction recently. It was my first time seeing an allergist and he was thorough taking his time to review the event as well as my history. Dr. Rubin was very knowledgeable about my allergy status and even noted some current research being down in the area. I was surprised to be able to do testing on the spot. The staff was equally amazing. from the front desk who called to remind me about my appointment to the nurse who was helpful and kind. Dr. Rubin and his whole office are quick and efficient. I have a plan to move forward and feel confident in their work.

We came here to find out why my son had a rash that would not go away for over 2 months and came here to find out why. The doctor we saw was very cocky and kept saying how my kids pediatrician didn’t know how to read the results of the blood test but he did so I shouldn’t listen to them but only him and he said that the results didn’t matter. He also gave me a name of some virus and stated, you need a dermatologist I can’t help you.Thank God I got a second opinion elsewhere that actually helped him. I am not going back here.

I am so glad that I came to Oak Brook Allergists! From the friendly service on the phone to schedule an appointment, to the warm greeting upon arrival, to a verythorough intake ( which I really appreciated and doesn’t happen at other practices), to Shelley who administered the allergy testing and finally to Dr Rubin, I was treated with great compassion. Dr Rubin is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything- I have complete confidence in my treatment plan. Also when I called with follow up questions, Shelley returned my call promptly and even mailed me the test results to share with my family doctor. The entire staff genuinely cares and I highly recommend them.

The staff and nurses were so friendly, there was almost no wait time and no hassle on paperwork/billing. Dr. Rubin was very professional and kind to explain my daughters allergy condition, hes very patient to answer all of our questions and made sure we understood the situation. We are very happy to have come here.

Dr. Rubin is very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and was very easy to talk to. He gave me options for my allergy treatment that I felt comfortable with. The nurse who performed the allergy tests was friendly and caring. The front desk was also friendly and efficient with scheduling my future appointments. So glad I chose Oakbrook Allergist!

Dr. Rubin is very nice and professional. He did a super good job in explaining what my allergies might be and using the language that I can understand to know about my situations. A very trustable doctor! I enjoyed the experience.

Dr. Knysak took his time and really asked me detailed questions about my allergy history. He was a good listener and very knowledgeable! Great Doc with AWESOME staff!!

Their service was incredible. I haven’t received medical attention like this since I was a kid from the receptionist, nurses, and dr.rubin. Everything was done in a timely manner as well.

Dr. Rubin was knowledgable and a good listener.

Their increments for shot are 0.02 each week. And if you react they cut your dosage of that vial in half so.needless to say youll be doing allergy shots a LONG time with no progress, but theyll tell you thats normal and that progress SHOULDNT be quick (by quick I mean a year or so). They also start from an incredibly diluted concentration. In short, they are maximizing insurance payments and telling you its for your own good.They dont do rush shots, but I was told by my new allergist that even if I decided not to do it I could still get 3 regular shots a visit and each increment should I not react was 0.1 each. Thats normal! The other allergist didnt even consider to retest after some time when I was reportedly allergic to one thing but each time I would have it no problem up until maintenance. At my new place I will be retesting in a few months and am already at maintenance for the one thing I am allergic to, when at Oakbrook I was constantly slipping with no signs of ever getting to maintainence (which led me to do what was in retrospect an unnecessary nasal surgery with complications).

I have been a long time patient and I am now pulling my medical files and going elsewhere. I needed my serum sent to my primary and it took over 3 weeks before it was even sent. I am supposed to receive shots every 2 weeks. Then, they billed me based on this error and oversight. When I discussed this with the billing manger, she was rude and disrespectful to me. I have never been treated this poorly nor spoken to in such a demeaning manner as I have been by this medical care office.

We were referred to Dr. Pongonis by our PCP. My 6 year old son has allergies. Dr. Pongonis was friendly, right on time and thorough. He helped me take my son off of medication versus adding to be effective for him now. I went to get scripts and pharmacy said they didn’t receive so Dr. Pongonis called me back himself. Good doctor! Good guy!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could, the billing people are rude and do not help. stay away from this place.

Whats a point of giving an appointment when we have to wait atleast 30-45 min every single time.
