I have seen Jessica for months now and I enjoy her so much! She has helped me with stress management and the staff are always so nice! Great resource for students.

I visited the counseling services every week for 2 years and then once a month for a year. The reception staff have always been so nice and accepting and although my original counselor retired, Dr. Williams took such great care of me! She has always been careful about prescribing my medication and she always took my concerns into consideration and helped me grlet through my depression and anxiety in college. I highly recommend MTSU Counseling Sercices!

After being a full-time student since 2014, I was turned away today when I all but begged to be seen by a counselor. I am not enrolled this semester due to a massive mistake ON MTSUs PART and the emotional stress I am dealing with as a result has made my anxiety skyrocket and need to seek counseling which they refused me. This is socking to me and unbelievably frustrating that someone taking the step to seek help was rejected.

The only good thing they did was refer me out to someone who could help me. Their counselors are grad students that are terrified of doing their job.I was even explicitly told by the counselor that I had appointments with that she couldnt help people like me with real issues, instead she helped people who couldnt cope with classes, went through a break up, or lost their grandmother. So she sent me to their psychologist who wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way. I was then informed to make an appointment the next month, which I never did. I visited a total of 3 times, and I would not recommend their counseling service to any student. On their website they claim they can help people with depression, PTSD and other real issues, but apparently thats a complete lie. Also it shouldnt be that easy to get a prescription anywhere especially on campus.
