My husband and I are trying to get pregnant with our first child. I scheduled an appointment with an OB to get acquainted, find someone I was comfortable with and ask a few questions of. She told me that because the primary care doctors really liked working with pregnant women that she didn’t need to see me until my 3rd trimester and even then only if there were any issues. Out of all my friends and family that have been pregnant I’ve never heard of anyone being told by their OB that they could just go to their PC for the bulk of their pregnancy.I also had some follow up questions which I emailed her and she kept referring me back to my PC who was giving me conflicting information. Really felt like I was being given the brush off.
