I was in the hospital 4 months ago for blood clots. I have a major blood clotting condition. I finally received a phone call from the doctor two weeks ago to schedule an appointment immediately to go over my test results (not a fun topic to hear after waiting so long). I’ve tried to be patient and understanding but at this point I feel as if they could care less if I dropped dead. I’ve called the past two weeks with no ability to even make an appointment. The staff is extremely rude, they don’t answer the phones and they even admit that…. I understand it’s a busy time for everyone but to give someone “bad news “ then not have them be able to even make an appointment to hear said “bad news” is extremely frustrating. I’ve been medicating myself because it’s obvious they don’t care. My previous hematologist from another state has been more responsive and is also completely dumbfounded as to how this practice is even running. The doctor is great when you actually get to see her, which I haven’t for four months since getting out of the hospital.. I’m not sure what the disconnect is with this practice.

I love Doctor Astarita.yes the wait time can be longer than expected.Once your with her she doesnt rush you out the door..She explains everything so you understand.Shes loving and has a huge heart ..she has a great staff.The chemo Male Nurse is the absolute best.!! Hes busy and makes sure everyone is taken care of.Its always so nice to walk in to what can be a stressful time in ones life.he has a heart of gold.Thank you all so much.

One of the Most Incredible Human Being I have ever encountered in the Medical Field. Her level of Empathy is beyond comprehension. She treats every Patient with the dignity and professionalism You would expect. Everyone is of the outmost importance to her and will dedicate her time without limits to her patients. I can highly recommend her to anyone seeking A 1 Plus Medical Care. Her Staff is equally competent and caring.

I just call to make an appointment and I had the worst experience ever. The administrative assistant is so unprofessional.

Dr Astarita is a beautiful soul. Shes a cancer doctor and takes her time with each patient. Yes office staff could use some assistance in kindness, and its unfortunate that her rating is so low due to the office staff. Please if you read reviews know shes the best doctor on the planet and thats saying a lot.

The worst office you can go. Good doctor. But i am waiting for the office since december. The should schedule ct.scann for me. I have been calling and.nothing happen. Today i called.my insurance. They never received the request. Can belive that? This is oncologic office. Wao!!😮😮😮

Let me begin by saying that Dr. Astatrita is truly amazing, professional and most importantly very caring. Showing great concern for her patients. As far as the staff is concerned, I must say that they have been truly attentive and show very much a great knowledge of what they are doing especially the young lady Barbara (Barbie) who is fabulous. As far as the negative reviews given by others... I will simply say that you have very poor grammar skills and no respect for their hard work having to put up with negative people like yourselves. Get a grip on your life.

Dr. Astarita is a great Oncologist that I do not want to give up for any reason, trust her with my life, but her staff is the worst. I am sure she is not aware of this, but on my next visit she will be told by me. Her staff represents her in the front, and they do not know what they are doing. It has taken my sister more than 10 telephone calls to get appointments and make sure her insurance covered the services. Now the same thing is happening in order to clear up some test she has to have done. The ladies in the front are rude, act like they are too tired to do the work. Something is terribly wrong and I have seen 2 persons walk out. There are many good Oncologist. Some of us dont have the time to put up with laziness. I am sorry for the Dr. because she is the greatest. I will make sure she is aware of how poorly her patients are being treated before they go in to see her.

I cant speak of the doctor, but the practice is highly unprofessional. They have zero regard for patients time. They set up appointments by arrival not by time. So whoever gets there first gets seen first. Ok a little unorganized but fine. But the real issue came when they told me that the doctor starts seeing patients at 10:30 am, hence I came in at 10:00 am, the room was full already so I knew I was going to wait for a long time but at NOON the doctor had not arrived yet! So I waited for a full two hours for a doctor that never even arrived. Im sorry if the doctor is THAT important that she cant wake up early enough to go do her rounds at the hospital a little earlier, then Im important enough that I cant wait for her. There are other hematologists in town.

Worst Experience. Even when Dr. Astarita could be good doctor, her process to attend a patient is unacceptable. I scheduled my second appointment with her at 9 am (first available) and I arrived on time to read my blood tests. When I arrived, in the waiting room were few people waiting for their own appointments. I had to leave her office after 6 hr waiting for her because apparently they have a common practice in which they confirm specific time appointments starting at 9 am but the doctor start those after 11 am each morning as she goes to the hospital first, and when she arrived, she starts the medical appointments as the arriving order not as per appointment order, so, if one person have the appointment at 11 but arrived at 6, that person is the first to be attended and this is unacceptable as they confirm dates and specific times per appointment. This kind of situations do not happens in a serious hospital or medical group. You can wait in any place, but never more than 45 mins. On top of that, I signed that date a form to release my medical exams to my PCP, and today, 3 weeks later they have not send anything to my doctor. I called them and they told me they havent prepare anything to send? Why? I specifically asked for them to release on time my information to my PCP as I need to her to read my results and move forward with my treatment (after multiple clots in my lungs)/ Unacceptable.

Horrible experience. The staff is completely unprofessional and quite frankly probably the worst experience Ive had trying to set up a doctors appointment. If that was the experience on the front end, I cringed at thinking what treatment would be like.
