Beware! Our less than one month old son’s circumcision was a nightmare done at HealthcareMD with Dr.J. Hoover III. Keep in mind no medical malpractice insurance—so no accountability! The following all happened after the clinic was closed. Our less than one month old son’s procedure was done by 2 pm. By 4:45 pm we took him in to the Mercy’s ER for complications of excessive bleeding. The hospital pediatric doctor sent us home after about 15 min stating that by applying some pressure he should be okay. By 11 pm we returned again to the Mercy ER with a bag full of gauze and diapers drenched in blood. These were brought as proof we did as we were told. After being seen by the same pediatric doctor at the first Mercy ER visit, he said my son looked pale (You think?) along with a rapid heartbeat. His team took the initiative….finally! They stabilized his bleeding by applying a Gelcell bandage. Then, Mercy ER decided that he needed to be evaluated by a children’s specialist ASAP so they ordered an Ambulatory escort to Jackson Holtz children’s hospital. The time was about 3:30 am. There at Jackson, they found his hemoglobin had dropped from 33 to 29. The doctor comforted us that it was not critical but the drop was significant from the bleeding caused by Dr Jon Hoover III circumcision procedure. Before discharging at 7am in the morning from Jackson’s ER, they suggested seeing a Pediatric Urologist to make sure no other complications are still present. Better hope to God he’s fine!!

3 stars only because the nurse practitioner ms hoover was kind but aside from that not returning ever again. Never heard back from my lab results. I called asking to speak to the nurse practitioner i was told she will return call never heard from her. She suggested to get a list of neurologist from the girls in the front office, their response was “i can google one for you” as if i didnt know how to browse the internet, as if picking a dr was shopping off of amazon. Ehhh wasnt what I expected. For sure never again!

My appointment, new patient record and check-in processes were easy and digital, all done in advance on the mobile website. Very organized and safe COVID procedures during my visit, short wait, and most importantly, the medical staff and Dr. Hoover are very warm and friendly. Overall my annual wellness exam was seamless and quick and I feel that I can trust this team with my health as my primary care team. Thank you!

Had my circumcision procedure done. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous in every way.Now it’s been 3weeks and finally everything is healing extremely well . Sigh of Relief . Thanks for everything, I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking in the future.

I went in for male adult circumcision with doctor hoover. The cut and the sutures were great. The results of the procedure far exceed my expectations. My quality of life has risen substantially.

I’ve seen all the providers in this office and they are all great. It’s easy to get an appointment which is difficult now a days when you aren’t feeling good. Whether it’s an urgent matter or just for you annual visit , they take care of you.

Did not pay much attention and diagnose me correctly, was in a rush to get me out. Had to explain my symptoms to three different people. Did not feel welcome.

Have been going here for a couple months now and this is the best experience I’ve ever had at a clinic. Doctor John Hoover addresses your concerns and goes into details, he never seems rushed. Although I barely get to see him (since I usually go as a walk in, and to see Dr. Hoover it’s not guaranteed without appointment), Natalie is so great! She’s the one that sees me literally every time and she’s so helpful and caring. The entire staff is very sociable and laid back, while also knowing their stuff. It’s all smiles and excellent patient care here, you can’t go wrong. They have WiFi, coffee, tea, and water in the waiting area (and take it from someone whose always a walk-in, they never make you wait long). The nurses are also amazing. Everything is amazing. My significant other wishes he could go here but they don’t take his insurance. Take the whole family here! You won’t regret it!

Everything about my visit to Dr. Hoover’s office exceeded my expectations! From the moment you walk in with his nice staff, to moment when youre checking out; everything was amazing! It was my first time to his office and meeting him, he is beyond amazing! You can tell he cares for you and listens to your concerns and to me thats one of the best qualities a Doctor may have. My appointment time was respected, i was seen really fast and my time there went super fast! Im so glad I found Dr.Hoover and i cant wait for my family and friends to all start seeing him!

I had to edit my review because my last one was too short and not very memorable. I have found my new PCP and i couldnt be happier about it. From the very first time you open the door, the girls at the reception are polite and friendly. The nurses, medical staff and the doctor are incredible. They are attentive, listen to all your concerns and so sweet and nice.The best thing is the wait. I work full time and i am also a full time student meaning.....i dont have time. Appointments are made for a reason and i am so appreciative that they follow through and respect appointment times. Wait time is about 10 minutes.If you are looking for a great team, look no further and go here now.Oh AND walk-ins are also welcome :)

Dr. Hoover & staff is not what they used to be. I am very disappointed with them. I called the office to see if they could send me something for heartburn that’s gotten really bad after surgery, and the girl that answered the phone right way said they were not going to send me anything because I had to go to see him. I explained how I’m I supposed to go to the office when they open at 9 close 2 hrs for lunch then close the office at 5 or 6 and I start working at 830 to 630 almost 7 and off Saturday and Sunday But of course the office is closed on weekends. So what are you supposed to do?? Thank god & baptist for the care on demand!! Very very disappointed, never going there again.

I tell everyone I know to come here for exams and lab work. The staff is very attentive and caring. The doctor and the nurses are knowledgeable and professional. Great experience for me and the people I have referred there.

This office front the front desk to the doctor is the most professional and curtious medical facility that I have every been too, and I have been to several. Doctor Hoover can possibly do his job with his eyes closed. Very friendly and encouraging towards the patients concerns and life.

Most time when we take our kids to get something done it’s usually way harder on us parents than it is on the children but Dr Hoover was so great, he talked to us through the entire procedure of getting our 2week old son circumcised that it made the process a lot easier for us. As far as baby goes he did way better than us lol.

I Am extremely disappointed with JOHN HOOVER. I have known he for 8 years plus when he had his office next to his ex wife, he was a hands on DR any questions you had he immediately contacted you, now currently his has a new location and new staff members in which you are always getting the runaround. I took my daughter there not even a month ago and i told him she is experiencing low performance grade level and the school counselor had asked me to take her in that normally Doctors are now aware of the 504 in order to get more testing time until she gets further evaluated. He did write me a prescription stating give more time on testing due to DX Learning Disability, unfortunately the school psychologist stated that they would need something stating lack of performance due to lack of consideration in order for her to get the proper help and time on testing until she is able to either see a psychologist or neurologist. If i dont call and ask for a status at the office of JOHN HOOVER they dont call back. Instead of him addressing the problem and calling me he sends his employees, at times i want to speak to the DR NOT THE EMPLOYEES. Dont change the DR you are and slack up on your patients, be more proactive.

Dr. Hoover explains well medical terms in plain language, listens and answers questions. Execellent office environment, cleanliness, and comfort. Staff is friendly and courteous.

5 star Doctor(s) and staff. Sent me to the emergency room based on a quick diagnosis. I recieved a bile duct stent that night that saved me. I have since had surgery, and I have been exclusively in Hoover and his staffs care since and couldnt be more pleased.

This doctor made some basic mistakes during my vasectomy. The damage done has been extremely painful. I’m sure this doctor has performed thousands of these operations with almost no complications. I however am suffering the complications. What is most odd is the doctor has no malpractice insurance.You could pay my hospital bill, you could cover my lost wages.

I highly recommend Dr Hoover and the staff they are very professional, the clinic is very clean and they honor your appointment time.

Extremely disappointed with Dr. Hoover and his office! Appointments don’t seem to be important here because I still had to wait an hour and a half to be seen by a doctor. After a long wait and a disappointing experience I still had to call for my test results 3 weeks later because no one calls from there to let you know anything. Don’t be surprised if it happens to you.

Terrible experience I went to consult to collect my results, which did not appear, they began to ask me if I had them done there, what is my date of birth? They told me they dont seem, like half an hour later they told me the laboratories and the bone density appeared. The bone density hadnt even done it to me and they were going to give me results. I told them how I would trust those results at that point to the moms ultrasound for which I paid a glass and $ 60 was also not appearing almost at the time it suddenly appeared. The way the owner and administrator of the Clinic handled it, she said that this happens everywhere and that the best thing was that my results had gone well. Here never again. I dont trust those results at all.
