Summerhouse detox is an amazing place to start your recovery journey with integrity. All of the staff is amazing and treats you like family. They have never given up on me and I am forever grateful. The food is also great and the homelike atmosphere makes it very comfortable.

So my stay at Summer House has been more than I could ever have imagined. The staff TJ all the nursing staff my special therapist Andrea and the team as a whole have been a blessing. With their care I am able to move into the next phase in my recovery.Thank you all.

Having been to many places before, I can say confidently that this place was the best. The staff, especially Jordan, are all really great. The food is truly outstanding. Kudos to the chef. The location is pretty unique as it is situated on a canal. They have fishing poles there and you can fish off their very large deck/outside patio area. Each room has a television and housekeeping will change the sheets on your bed every day. I also really liked to the fact that I was able to use my cell phone for 15 minutes at a time, multiple times throughout the day. The aftercare plan was coordinated with almost no effort on my part. The facility itself is a close intimate setting but not claustrophobic as you can always retire to your room which are very comfortable and each have a very nice private bath. They also have a jacuzzi room and if you ask, they will draw you a bath with hot water and let you relax in there. There were plenty of books, games, movies, etc. to help pass the time. All-in-all it was a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend.

This is the only place I would go for detox!I was treated very well and always felt safe! !I have been there a few times.All of the nurses are good but Eric,Carole,Andy and Eddie definitely are my personal favorites.The staff is all very helpful.Again my personal favorites are Pamela,T.J,and Jen.The food is FANTASTIC! I love that nothing is forced but still an option. .Activities such as meetings,yoga, acupuncture ect....Bert always provides a plan to help you be successful when you leave.The cleaning staff is great! Overall a very good experience for a challenging time in my life.

This is an amazing place to start your recovery journey. They are all so helpful, caring and encouraging. The nurses & medical staff are wonderful & will keep you as comfortable as possible. The staff, especially the techs, are some of the best people you will ever meet. Tj is definitely one of those people. He was so knowledgeable about all things recovery and such a positive influence while I was there. Truly an all around great facility. And the food really is as good as everyone says!

To be clear: THIS PLACE IS ONLY A DETOX CENTER. It’s not a full rehabilitation facility. However, the kind and helpful staff will help you find a rehab center to continue your treatment after you finish detoxing.It’s a small facility, which is good. Fewer patients means more personal attention and you won’t be treated like a number.It’s very clean and they take extra precautions to prevent covid.Each room has its own personal bathroom and tv (2 beds per room), a chef that cooks meals 3 times a day, and a salad bar. There’s not a lot of vegan options, but other than that, the food is pretty good. They keep a variety of snacks and drinks in the kitchen if you get hungry in between meals.It’s a pretty comfortable place all around and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. They keep your cellphone safely locked up, but you are allowed to use it when you need to. You just can’t be on it all day.My only advice is, if you’re a smoker, be sure to BRING AS MANY PACKS AS YOU THINK YOU’LL NEED. The techs can only buy so many packs at a time for the patients.Overall, I give this place 5 stars. It’s about as easy and comfortable as a detox can be. It’s just a shame that it’s not a full rehab. I hope this answered any/all questions you might have. Wherever you end up, I wish you the best on your recovery.

My life is defined by the word never. I was never supposed to be an alcoholic and addict since the age of ten years old, but here I am. The reason why I chose summer house detox was simple. I needed to start, yet, another try at sobriety. I came here and paid out of my own pocket which shows how incredible and amazing this place really is. There is no detox that compares to this. I have had the unfortunate circumstance of dealing with addiction/recovery for years. I have attended far too many detox and treatment centers ranging from California, Ohio, Nebraska and now the Miami area. Without a doubt and bar none, Summer House has been the most respectful, well organized, professional and helpful of each facility I have visited. They left me with a detailed recovery plan (and hope for the future) utilizing counsellors, administrators, behavioral technicians and even cooks. I could name 10 people but will specify Chris, Christina, Dennis and Burt as integral to my comfort and exposure to recovery. Many, if not all, are recovering themselves so this is an amazing part of the organization. I have often left facilities with a feeling of hope but in this case, it is amplified with a plan and thoughtful, written details for my immediate future. I thank all of those who work there and are so special to so many trying to fight this disease and become better members of society.

The staff was great. The only problem is I believe I was over medicated and slept most of the day. The Aa meetings were helpful as were yoga. The food was great as well.

Dont wait until you think you are at rock bottom to go to detox or treatment. Dont wait if you think detox is for other people. Summer House is caring, on top of things, extremely clean and know the right treatment for the person. I am forever grateful for my experience here. And by the way, the food is AMAZING. Amazing first step for come back, or entering recovery for the first time. Summer House is a really special place. Not only are you surrounded by staff in recovery, but also truly special patients around you. The medical staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Administration goes above and beyond to admit you, and provide instructions for an aftercare plan. The food is awesome, the amenities are outstanding, and the building is ridiculously clean. Its been a pleasure staying at this facility temporarily, and I truly am grateful for all of the support. :)

The Summer House, in my extensive detox experiences, is the premier detox in South Florida. You wont find nicer staff than Stephanie, Peter, Mike or Burt. The owner, Rudy, is an absolutley wonderful and caring person. The food is great and prepared by an in-house chef. The salad bar with fresh fruit and salads are superb. There is a 24 hour kitchen with every snack or drink you can imagine. Their acupuncture really works and instantly improved my mood. The clients are very friendly and kind as well. The Summer House is exceptionally clean and your room is made up multiple times daily. One unique aspect is you can use your cell phone and computer when desired. This is my 3rd time attending and many clients confided to me this is the only detox they will ever go to now. I definitely recommend the Summer House.

Wonderful place for anyone willing to detox off of any kind of narcotic or alcohol. The meals they prepare for you are 10/10, the staff is very helpful and the current detox protocol is well dosed so you don’t suffer from the physical withdrawals as much.No complaints whatsoever, if you’re looking for a detox center, this is it.

I have been to more detoxes than Id like to admit but they all pale in comparison to Summer House. At Summer house you are treated like a person, not a number. And they gear your detox around your own specific needs. This was my first time in a detox I was so scared of what to expect as soon as I entered the facility I felt comfortable and welcome. I felt like it was more like a family,all the staff was very caring and made me feel safe. I would definitely recommend this facility. Chef was amazing.

Unfortunately Ive had to go to several detoxes. This place is the finest Ive every been to. I give five stars on the beautiful detox center itself and five stars on the staff. Every staff member knows you by name and cares about you. You would be a fool not to come here. So please dont make a mistake by going to any other detox center. First of before I came here I wasn’t to sure if this was what I wanted to do I was brought here not on my own will but through my parents I wanted to leave the moment I got here but as I talked to the staff and gave it time it was the best decision I made so far this place made me want to continue to stay sober it made want to search for my true self the staff here are honestly amazing and real true support they talk to you from the heart and don’t pressure you to do anything your not comfortable with I came in here unrecognizable but I’m leaving more like myself then when I came in the food is also great the therapist are amazing the staff as well I recommend this place to anyone who would like to try or atleast give it a chance to get sober I thought I would never ever make it one day here but I did I made my seven day and I’m gona continue with my sobering after here

I would recommend this detox to whomever. The staff and admissions are very understanding and will try their best to work with you on every level. The food is outstanding, which is a most great due to our situation. They keep the facility amazingly clean, they make your bed for you every morning, wash your cloths as well, the whole nine yards. Admissions staff Burt, Peter, and Mike always go the extra mile to be there for the client on every level, there’s nothing they won’t do for you as long as it’s ethical. Also staff such as Cristina, Tiff, Pam, Michelle, and TJ all try their best to comfort the clients in the ways that they can, which I believe is necessary when dealing with patients. Overall this place is great in every aspect and gives me hope!!

On Sunday, 9/13/20, my sister and I met the most amazing team of people at the Summer House. Our loved one, unfortunately, was not ready to receive the help, but every individual in this treatment facility from Mike, Chris, the compassionate nurses, the therapist who sat with us and shared her intimate journey and listened to our concerns, and the therapist at the end that gave us her recommendations were ready to assist and guide us through the process. Their personal stories, compassion and understanding of what we were going through, as a family, gave us hope that there are people out there who truly care and are willing to help, if the person is ready. We are grateful for the compassion, care, and understanding they provided to us during this very difficult time. Thank you for all of the effort each one of you put forth to help us! My experience was Amazing. Staff really truly care for us addicts. I recommend anyone and every addict to give it a shot!! Hopefully I’ll never come back but I’m the case I would have to detox, this is the place to go!!!

The staff is excellence, The food is excellence. It is like being in a non-alcoholic four star resort. My one criticism is that the AA/NA meeting should be mandatory as well as the Tai Chi exercise. I would also love, if there was a small gym, nothing extreme; just a couple of treadmills and stationary bikes.Would I recommend the center to some else needing help? Absolutely, yes.And the help doesnt end after the detox. The senior staff helps you plan the next steps that best for you and your sobriety.And, if you happen to slip and backslide, they will welcome you back with no judgement.This is a great institution

Theres honestly nothing bad I can say about Summer House. It was the first time Ive ever been to a detox facility, so I have no comparison except from my own experience. From the moment I came in, the staff was very welcoming, treated me as an individual and nothing less. There were very authentic, open, and transparent. This made is very easy for me to be open and honest as well. They explained the whole detox process, walked me through the process and explained the why, every time. The staff, as I mentioned earlier, were authentic and easy to relate to. They were laid back, personable, joked around with you, but yet, kept it professional the whole time. The NEVER tried to over medicate, or pushed anything on you. I refused medication a handful of times, only because at that moment, I felt i could have done without, and the respected my wishes, and never questioned me. My whole detox experience was very relaxing and comfortable. Not once during my stay did i feel like i had the need or urge to be medicated because of any withdrawal. Quite frankly, I never experienced any withdrawal symptoms which was great! The facility and I hate to call it that because it never felt like a facility but a home. The atmosphere was pleasant, and calming. The home was very nice, spacious, comfortable, clean and sanitized the entire time. Not once did i ever feel i was in a detox facility. The food was amazing 95% of the time, but thats just because I am a picky eater, but they accommodated me for sure. The staff always made sure I felt comfortable the entire stay. I hope I will never have to enter a detox home again, but should i need to do it again, i will choose this place. Thank you to ALL the Staff @ Summer House, I couldnt have done this without. You ALL are truly a blessing from God. Summer house was a great experience for me. Very relaxing and chill. The staff seems like they really care. Although i believe in AA and NA. They dont stuff it down your throat. Summer House Detox was extremely helpful with me recovering from my withdrawals. The blind medicine they give you is amazing and very helpful. They also taper you down off of it afterwards which is extremely helpful for when you leave. The staff is really nice especially Peter, Christina, Michelle, Denise, and Tiffany became my best friends and are down to earth. They assisted my every need and I would definitely recommend this detox for recovering addicts. The food was BEYOND AMAZING I was completely surprised!

Summer House is by far the best Substance Abuse Detox program in the country! I’ve had the unfortunate experience of having to attend over a dozen different programs all over the country during the past five years as I battled my addiction and Summerhouse has been there repeatedly - providing professional courteous and most importantly empathetic help! Summer House has been a blessing. I was hesitant at first to enter into such a life altering program but they have made the transition so much easier. The staff here treats you like family. They let you feel the comforts at home while allowing you the room you need to recover. This place brang me back to life there’s isn’t enough thank you or 5 stars that I can give them they deserve 10000 stars. When I was in a the darkest place of my life I found out about this place and like any addict I was scared I didn’t even know if I had the strength to get through it the minute I walked in I was introduce to a woman named Christina, the warmth she gave my heart and the welcoming she gave me walking into this told me ok I’m in good hands. Her personality was so real and understanding that I knew right away I was in the right place. Through out my stay they gained me my strength back through detox and prayer I have fully healed and cleaned I recommend anyone who is struggling with any addiction to come here it is a small environment where everyone here is going through the same thing you are, my overall experience was roller coaster of emotions but with the therapy and nursing they offer I am brand new and back to my who I am. I can’t thank this place enough and I feel blessed to walk out of here knowing I will be ok ❤️

Summer house was great, after doing extensive research I based my decision based off of how dignified they treated you. This is recovery ran by people in recovery so your are treated like a human being instead of a drug addict degenerate. The technicians and cooks made this stay very positive always pushing you to keep going and going above and beyond.

Although I had a rough detox I was always listened to compationately. Burt and Rootie always stopped everything they were doing to listen and help me out. I love all the techs but I owe a special gratitude to Mike for getting me in here so fast. I also want to mention the two nurses that were beyond amazing. They are Ed and Jesse and they got me through the hardest times with so much compassion. I might not have made it through without them. I’ll NEVER forget them. Also Stephanie at night was so great. She got me through a really hard night going over and above to help me. Unfortunately I have to give one bad review. The nurse Carol was absolutely awful. She is the only nurse that makes us feel like junkies. And I say us because it’s not just me it’s a bunch of us that felt the same way. So thank you all for getting me through this hellish detox. Summer House is the best detox anyone could go to in the Florida area it’s comfortable, the staff is nice including the nurses and techs. TJ , Tony, Christina, Peter, Mike, And all the nursing staff showed they actually cared about me during my stay I highly recommend for anyone seeking help immediately. Not to mention 5 star food and chefs comfortable beds and medical attention around the clock.

I was a patient here recently and had a most fantastic experience. Each and every employee I interacted with went above and beyond. I was treated with kindness and respect and my results were exactly what I expected. If there more than 5 stars they have so earned them. I highly recommend this center and I thank them for everything.

During my stay at Summer House I was pleasantly surprised to find that staff (at all levels) were kind, responsive to all patient needs and anticipated what was necessary to make everyone feel comfortable. Not all patients are the same but they managed to make all feel important and a priority.I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking to change their life. The medical staff was professional, the food delicious and management immediately responsive. There was not one iota of an institutional feel. Just the opposite, they accommodated patients individual needs; i.e giving daily access to cell phones, iPads and accommodating dietary needs. I can’t say enough good things about them. They are an inspiration to the industry.

I dont think I would be clean and sober today without the help of these wonderful people. Everyone goes out of their way to make the process as easy as possible. My only complaint, I never got my t shirt.

My experience here has been so comfortable, the best detox. The staff is amazing, always willing to listen and just be there if you need them. Food is 10/10!!! If you ever feel hopeless this is the place to go. They will help and guide you in the right track! thankyou so muuch

All staff and patients were welcoming from the start. There were no issues between staff and patients, with the staff residence all the patients the upmost dignity. As hard as this experience is, the staff made the transfer respectful and with dignified.Thank you Summer House

Summer House Detox is by far the best, most comfortable, and regulated treatment center I’ve ever experienced. If you or a loved one is seeking substance abuse help, I highly recommend calling Summer House Detox in Miami, FL and doing an assessment. This is a family run and owned operation for the still, sick, and suffering addicts/alcoholics. It’s been running for the last 25 years and recognized as one of the top facilities in Florida. The environment is private and designed as if you’re at home with the most outstanding staff and medical team. As far as the Behavioral Health Technicians, there was one staff member that stood out to me the most due to theq extent she went to in order to help me feel at home. That staff member is also the Lead Tech by the name of Tiffany. The medical team goes above and beyond as well, but I also want to thank Eddy, one of the RN nurses on board who treated me with upmost respect and kept checking on me. Although this is only a detox center, they offer a list of activities to do throughout your stay there. Some of those activities are the following: yoga, Acupuncture, Tai Chi, and Arts and crafts. The owner is present everyday and checks on every patient daily. The fact that this private facility offers more individual one-on-one treatment, due to the small population size, left me feeling warm inside and excited towards my road to recovery. However, since this is only a detox center, they provide the best team to set you up towards your next step in recovery - whether that’s a going to a residential/PHP treatment center or IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program). Overall, I can’t think of one single issue to complain about during my experience here. Lastly, I want to thank the entire staff for making me feel at home due to the cozy environment and Hippa protected at all times during my stay. Thank You Summer House for helping me get through the withdrawals and having my back. Not to mention, the entire staff is in recovery which also left an impression on me. Summerhouse was the best possible detox experience. They do all they can and the staff is understanding and compassionate. Tiff is my favorite.

Just want to say at first i thought this was going to be complete BS in the beginning. Little did i know that i learned more here about my addiction, and addiction tendencies and am more than satisfied with the treatment and legitimate detox they give you. If you’re an addict not knowing the detox (blind detox) allows you to fully emerge into your own self and find the actual relief you may or may not need. It may not be something you catch on your first try, but it’s a learning experience that i’m almost certain i’ve gotten to understand. If it’s time for you to let go and emerge yourself in growth and change than i would highly recommend this place. It may be the thing that keeps you ALIVE and your relationships WHOLE. If your searching for freedom you cannot find with drugs and alcohol maybe sobriety is where you haven’t tried and here is where you will learn.

I had a good experience in summer house everyone was always willing to help and meet my needs I really appreciate everyone here and Ill be back but not as a patient thank you guys very much. GOD BLESS YOU ALL
