Mi Casa is one of those proven skilled nursing facilities that takes into consideration the needs of each admission and careful discharge planning. The communication with staff has been excellent and I love knowing I can recommend a local facility. Thank you David for adding to my resource list.

After the horrible neglect my grandmother experienced at Mission Palms, which deemed her a 5 day stay in the hospital, my family and I were scared to trust another facility for care. I really did my research and chose Mi Casa after she was discharged from the hospital. The national recognition they received for best care in the U.S. was much earned. They were in constant communication with our family, kind, and my grandmother had huge improvement there. She’s now strong enough to be home with us. My family and I are so grateful for Mi Casa’s staff and care they provided!

This facility is much more than I expected. I recently visited a resident / patient at Mi Casa. The location is hidden just north, off of Broadway. Its well situated close to Banner Heart Hospital, as well as Banner Gateway Hospital, so that serious care is very nearby. That said, the facility and staff at Mi Casa constitute a true care and rehab center. There are several nurse stations throughout the facility. Just like a hospital, one per section of a wing. I observed lots of care staff during the morning I was there. Additionally, there are regular cleaning staff and the facility is kept nice and clean and not as cluttered as you often see in hospital wards. The patient rooms are reasonable and spacious, according the area. There is a nice rehad gym and equipment and it is likewise staffed with rehab professionals. For the patient I was visiting, who was in long term care, they are monitored regularly and the nursing staff was kind and gentle. The rooms are well lit and have windows in each and have access to walking areas outside when the whether is amiable.Overall, I was quite impressed with the care, staff and facility I saw on my visit to Mi Casa.

This facility has the usual cliques in employees etc, but they are in business for a reason. Im not saying theyre the best, but there are worse. The nursing staff usually has at least 15-20 patients, so yes they are not running in as soon as the call light is turned on. But they seem to try. If you want your loved one to be waited on hand and foot, look for a more hotel atmosphere. This facility has a nice gym, and good PT/OT/ST staff and facilities. Best thing I can point out. :)

They could not get the medications right for my grandpa, he was not taking a blood thinner the hospital had him on for 2 WEEKS! We kept telling them what he needed to be taking, and they never addressed the issue. CNAs were great, nursing not so much. I would recommend a different facility to anyone thinking of sending their family member here

Staff were courteous & attentive to my moms need. My mom was transferred to Mi Casa from the hospital after hand bone fractures, stayed there for 6 days. Case Manager was very helpful w transitioning to Assisted Living. The room was a lttle bit too dark, can use extra light.

I would never in a million years ever put a family matter back in this place again, my mother in law was there for two weeks and the nurses and everyone was very rude, she got her stuff stolen out of her room and was told it was no where to be found! The case managers dont care about much of anything! Be careful if your family has to go there keep up on it we had to in order to make sure she was taken care of

All nursing homes have bad reviews, and Im sure everyone is very skeptical when looking for a nursing center for their loved one. My grandmother (and I was her caregiver) stayed here at least three times. We had to make sure the medication list that was sent from the hospital was correct (all three times, Banner Baywood sent the wrong medication list so they were giving her the wrong medicines, but that was Banners fault.), but they immediately corrected it and we never had any problems with them. The staff are all super friendly and caring. A good place for your loved one, overall. :)

I just placed my wife at Mi Casa. She has late stage ALZ. Ive watched the staff very closely, I find they take very good care of their clients. You can believe me when I tell you that any ill treatment of my wife would get very ugly fast. The people they have in long term care are very professional and compassionate. I read some of the negative reviews and think these have to be some of those people that cant be satisfied. Ive worked around people like that nothing can make them happy. My hat is off to the workers here.

Grandma went here for P.E.s, weakness, AV malformations (bleeding in stomach) and was tired of transfusions and the whole ordeal. At first she was there for a fall/PEs but transitioned to Hospice per her choice. She had everything she wanted to eat, they worked hard to keep her in private room with a nice TV. They were kind, have a nice activity room, welcomed visitors, called and text regularly, helped her with phone. They handled her end of life very well. This is definitely not even close to the worst place. I myself have worked in nursing homes and really, this place is pretty good. Thank you kindly for everything you did for Granny.

This is delayed by 6 months but my mom was there for a month. We had it several times where they ether gave my mom more Meds than what the doctor had ordered or given it to the wrong patient all together. It was the same CNA two days in a row. DO NOT GO THERE

If it gave me the option of no stars thats what they would receive. My grandmother has been here. I came into her room and she had a nebulizer mask on with an empty port. When I asked what time she had received treatment they had said about an hour and a half ago. Me, Ok... so why was she not checked on or given her oxygen after the 15 min treatment was done. After all the only reason she is here is because she needs to be on oxygen and insurance wont cover it at home... nurse, she is hooked up to her oxygen. Me, thats because I hooked it up. Very frustrating. A couple nights before she was given a treatment and when family came in no hose was hooked up to it. Mom just showed up n told me my Nana was found on floor and they dont know how she ended up there. Really??? What do theses people know besides telling us if we remove her from here that her insurance will deny her stay here n not cover it. She is supposed to be checked on every 15 min because she is a fall risk. They dont want her getting out of bed they on her own they want her to call a nurse to help her out of bed. However when you call a nurse it takes them well over 45 to an hour to come. And if they do show up earlier its only because we get tired of waiting and track someone down. If you care at all for your family members plz dont bring them here.

My poor father was sent here just 48 hours after brain surgery! My mother and brother arrived separately at Mi Casa to meet him and NO ONE could find him for 2 hours! My brother finally located my father in a cot in some hallway, where he obviously had had a seizure in the interim. Care went from bad to worse. Nurses rude to my father and the doctors.never showed up to follow up on my father. He died 6 weeks.later from neglectful practices at this nightmare of a place. Do NOT put your loved ones in this despicable place.

My Grandmother was in Micasa for 3 weeks post op to a hip fracture. This facility came high recommended through her physician that seen her at Banner Baywood. At first my grandmother and I were very nervous about going in to what we thought would be a nursing home but quickly was shown that my grandmother was going to the Rehab section of the building. We were set up in a beautiful private room the nursing staff were very attentive the therapy staff where kind and patient and the food wasnt bad as well. The kind and caring staff made my grandmothers stay very pleasant and she had a nice speedy recovery. I definitely would recommend Micasa to anyone who is in need of any sort of therapy service as they were amazing!!!!

I am no stranger to nusing homes. I worked as a CNA for years and have spent time visiting several for friends and family members over the years. This place is the worst so far. 1. From upper management, to nurses to the CNAs..., the entire staff texts and talks on their cell phones when they should be doing their jobs and caring for the residents. I was even told that they are allowed to do this while they work! Unbelievable 2. The food they serve is terrible and they give child-size portions.I ended up having to bring my father food every day because he was starving. 3. I noticed a very bloody bandage in the bathroom trash can after a nurse changed his dressings. Blood should never occupy a common trash can, especially in a healthcare setting. It should have been placed in a red bio-hazard bag and disposed of properly. Very disappointing. Be aware!

I stayed at Mi Casa with my husband after his knee surgery for 3 weeks. Most staff was very rude, nurses and CNAs. I remember 1 male nurse, he was Asian I think, his name was Khy, he was nice and caring, and 1 weekend CNA was very nice, very caring and professional, her name was Olga. Only those 2 people in whole place have good, caring hearts. We will never forget them. Thank you so much Khy and Olga!

GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO DIE MISERABLY. The director is foreign, all of her personal friends work there as well. So any complaints you have will be buried. The director is rarely there, she thinks older Americans are to be taken advantage of for their money. Most Life Care Centers are HORRIBLE charnelhouses, but this one is the worst!! It makes me cry to think about it.
