Stay far away from this place ! I gave them one star because zero wasnt an option. They told me they were in my network to get me in. Then after 3 visits and hundreds in bills I find out they arent and had to pay out of pocket. As others have mentioned , I witnessed extremely rude office staff. Then 11 months later they send me a bill for 20 dollars !!?? Complete incompetence !!!

Dr. Nair seems competent enough but the office staff and processes are terrible. Trying to get ultrasound results for 2 weeks. I was told they would be posted to the portal over a week ago. They have not been. Seems like they want me to schedule an appointment (had one, they cancelled) before theyll give me results. Either theyve reviewed the results and there are issues (in which case I should be notified) or they havent reviewed the results and Im still without a diagnosis a month later. Im done with this office.

I go here a few times a year to see the doc. Visit copays are super high. Next year Im switching to another kidney doc. They call and leave messages: we had to re-schedule your appointment but when you call them back (as directed) they never answer the phone. They want you to leave a message then sit by the phone and wait for them to call. So I dont call any more I just drive over to change appointments since they stopped answering the phone 2 years ago.Its also required masks ever since Wuhan first appeared. I doubt the masking thing will ever go away.Summary: they no longer answer the phone and office visit copays are super expensive, at least $130 each visit. If your doc tells you to call for certain reasons always remind them that they dont answer the phone so you really cannot call.

Doctors seem competent, but the office staff is the worst Ive experienced. No one will return phone calls, not even the office supervisor follows through with return phone calls. Patient/client treatment should be a priority.

This office is the worst. I am a patient of one of the doctors of the Southwest Kidney Institute and stopped in today to have some blood work completed for my appointment next week. Their lab closes at 4:00, which I am aware of becasue i come to this lab monthly. I left school earlier enough to get to this office at 3:20. I was turned away because they said they were too busy to see me. The person working at the front desk did not care at all that I had an appointment next week and just told me to come back tomorrow...she was rude and not helpful at all. I was lucky to find a Sonora Quest Lab close by and they did my blood work for me. When I told them of my experience at my own doctors office, they were surprised because they are not allowed to turn anybody away. I will find another place to get my bloodwork done from now on. Awful experience.

Doctor was excellent but their billing department has been the worst I’ve ever experienced.

First of all, the front desk staff is so friendly and their office itself is very clean. They’re obviously taking a lot of precautions with the current conditions right now, and it shows.Unfortunately that’s about it as far as the good things go, so far for us. Dr. Nair was very dismissive of our concerns regarding my fiancé’s health, and newly diagnosed kidney disease. This is all very new and still very scary to us, and it’s unfortunate that the doctor doesn’t have the decency to spend more than a few minutes with his patients. He spent more time scolding us on things we should not do, than actually listening and showing concern or giving us good information. Editing to add: Dr. Nair also did not care to check into my fiancé’s blood pressure. The kidney disease that he has causes hypertension, and the hypertension caused a stroke. We diligently took a log of his blood pressure readings, as instructed by the kidney doctor at the hospital. When we mentioned to Dr Nair that his blood pressure was running higher than the “safe” level, he was uninterested and gave us improper information on changing his medications. All of this goes along with his unwillingness to spend more than a few minutes in each appointment. The more specialists and doctors we see, the more we are told that this is not how this appointment should have been handled. The office is also horrendous to reach on the phone, with wait times exceeding 40 minutes just to be sent to a third-party company to do their scheduling. If you have a critical health question, you’re forced to leave a message for the medical assistants who say they return calls the same business day. However, we had to leave voicemails for multiple days and eventually we had to speak with the office manager just to get a response. We’re very laid back and easy to please people, but when you have important questions in regards to a critical disease, you shouldn’t have to babysit the medical staff to make sure you’re being helped. This is not a game, this is someone’s life.So far we’re very disappointed in this office. We scheduled our next appointment with a different doctor and are hoping we will be able to change this to a better review once we’ve seen them.

Worst service, waited over 3 hours for lab work. Was told there were six in.front of me and it would be an hour. An hour later there were 4 in front of me. Took them an hour for 2 people?

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Osorio. He has been more helpful to me than I can ever say. That being said, I double-dog-dare anyone to try to phone in to get an appointment. The phones quite simply do not get answered. You go into an eternal holding pattern and listen to Pennies from Heaven endlessly. Some of us still like to do business on the phone rather than trying to remember fifty online passwords. The front desk staff could also take a refresher course on customer friendliness. Im going to try once more to get someone on the phone, but as much as I love the doctor, I may have to go somewhere else.
