The automatic response is copied & pasted. Dont even bother doing that with me. You deserve negative stars because not only I have felt neglected to be seen or helped in any way. Once the desk lady figures out whats wrong with you, the waiting game starts. Myself & others noticed theres more security than nurses. With all those floors in the building, why are we sitting 3 ft apart instead of 6? You trying to have job security will only last until we all die of your lack of compassion. I had a person throwing up next to me, when all I needed was a treatment for asthma. He kept his mask hanging off 1 ear coughing & vomiting none of those security or staff told him to put it on. I gave up @ 2 hours waiting when I saw others take their leave or communicate with each other that theyd been there 6-7 hours!! Unforgivable.

Delivered my baby here via scheduled c-section. Entire experience was great. Felt completely involved, attended to, cared for, and comforted. Hospital and rooms were so clean. Nurses and doctors were friendly and attentive. After having my other two kids at Mercy Gilbert I was scared to go anywhere else, but my experience was fantastic here and I would highly recommend it. My OB Dr. Adamson with Steward Womens Health was great and I highly recommend him also. Complimentary celebration dinner for two of steak, shrimp, asparagus, potato, cheesecake, and sparkling cider was AMAZING as well!

She made me feel completely comfortable and was extremely helpful and relatable. By far, best birth Ive had. Thank you so much!

After, unfortunately 4 ER visits this year at 4 different hospitals, it is very clear that Mountain Vista Medical Center is hands down the only place anyone should be seen. I was taken back in 9 minutes and seen immediately. The nurses were SO attentive and caring. The doctor was compassionate, thorough and kept me informed. If you like long waits in a noisy waiting room, waiting for hours for blood work or tests and can’t get a nurse if you need something, go anywhere. If you want fast, competent, quiet, compassionate and thorough care, Mountain Vista is where you should go.

When I arrived at the medical center, the lady at admission was polite and welcoming. The man who completed my financial information was equally friendly and helpful. As I got ready for surgery, all the members of the medical team were comforting and professional. The nurses were great! The anesthesiologist; as well as the interns, took time to explain everything as they gathered information for my anesthesia and administered the nerve block. I couldnt have asked for a better team! They all deserve a 5 star rating.Post Op treatment was extremely disappointing and the reason for my 3 star rating. The nurse seemed more interested in getting me out of the hospital than for my well being following surgery. I wont reveal the areas she fell short in patient care. Lets just say I am not happy with how I was treated.Because of the excellent care that I received prior to surgery, I would definitely go here for any future surgery.

I’ve had to deal with most of the valley hospitals over the years, either as a patient or having someone I love being cared for. Without a doubt, Mountain Vista has the best overall staff I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve had the option to choose between Mountain Vista and other facilities (2021 has been a rough year 😔) and I know I’ll be taken care of with professionalism and compassion at Mountain Vista, so it’s always an easy choice and I’ve never regretted it. If they had negative stars I would put a negative star but because you have to put some sort of a star I put one. I have been fighting this claim for over a year now I was told by my primary care physician to go into the hospital due to covid symptoms and because covid was so new at the time in March of 2020 that was my best option. I went to Mountain Vista Medical Center Mesa AZ as it was the nearest hospital to me. They isolated me in the covid area for a very long period of time, then putting me into an exam room, also for a very long time, 3 staff members entered all dressed in hazmat. They told me there was no testing available at that time as covid was so new and New York was receiving all of the tests or what have you at that time. The only way they would be able to test me would be with a chest x-ray to see if theres any signs of what they assumed was covid in the chest. So I agree to do that. They did not code it correctly they coded as entering the hospital with shortness of breath even though I had all the symptoms on the check of list. Coding only as chest x-ray due to shortness of breath, I am responsible for the bill. Under the Trump mandate that covid testing of any sort would be free of charge I contacted an attorney. They informed me that your insurance would have to pay 100% of any testing for COVID-19. If you didnt have insurance it was then free. Because they refused to recode the bill correctly, I have been sent to collections. My attorney has contact them, the insurance company has contacted them asking to have the bill recorded correctly as a covid testing procedure and they have refused. After following up with my primary care physician they had deemed me that I did have covid and escorted me out of their offices through the back door as not to contaminate the rest of their facility yet still the hospital will refuse to code correctly.

I spent the day in the outpatient clinic getting a pacemaker. From the moment I walked in the door I was well taken care of. Each staff member I came into contact with was extremely helpful and kind. A few months ago I completely threw out my lower back, I felt ripping and tearing. It was horrible!!! My son was able to drive me here to the ER to be seen. The security guards at the entrance saw how hunched over I was and immediately grabbed a wheelchair for me so I didn’t have to walk the rest of the way. The wait wasn’t long, maybe 15-20 min until I was called back. The triage nurse, the nurse that took care of me to the PA that I saw were all quick and responsive - was such a smooth process! They all were very kind and showed concern. The care that was given to me by my nurse, Nurse Melissa (who is now in the education Dept full time) was absolutely amazing!!! She was prompt, she was empathetic, she addressed my severe pain quickly and educated me wonderfully! I am a nurse myself and currently work here at Mountain Vista and have never been to my own ER as a patient myself. I know good care and bad care when I see it. I can’t begin to express my appreciation to those in the ER that day that took care of me, especially my nurse! Thank you Melissa, you were amazing! Not only with my care but making sure my son was comfortable and taken care of as well while he waited. I highly recommend this ER, this hospital for anyone’s care!-Jill Tanner, RN

Surprise medical bills!I had my baby back in October 2019. 24 hour labor waiting for any doctor available that would break my water. Not the worst but not the best labor and delivery. I was SO diligent about paying all my bills on time. I was on the phone MULTIPLE times with the hospital since they sent me duplicate bills in the beginning. Finally got everything squared away and -surprise- 1 1/2 years later I have another bill for $1544.00.I called and asked for an itemized receipt along with opening an investigation as to why it took this bill 1 1/2 years to get to me. They promised to open an investigation and send me the receipt. But they never did ANYTHING and instead sold my debt to a debt collection agency.**** Update*** July 1st, 2021I had a wonderful person named Patricia that helped me through my case. She was able to work everything out and kept in contact with me for over a week and a half. It took such a long time to eventually get this settled but it is finally done. There was no identifying information about where to go or call to schedule the ultrsound. So I called doctors office to ask about how to go about scheduling it. They said the place would call me. So my appointment the following week with a different doctor he asked if I got the ultrasound. I said NO- Nobody called me. Then they told me I had to go next door and schedule it. Stopped over there. Of course Friday and they close early. Stopped by the next week just to schedule for later. Couldnt they have given me agency name and phone number so I could just schedule and not make so many trips. Very frustrating whole thing.

Apparently this is what medicine has come to these days and Ive gotten too old. Stopped at two urgent care clinics prior to going to the ER. Was told there was a four to six hour wait for walk ins. Came to the Mountain Vista ER. It didnt look very busy so decided to try there.First question, what insurance did I have.Second question, what is wrong.Once again, I guess Im too old. I remember when they asked you what was wrong first. The nurse at the counter was nice enough, and after sitting there for an hour, the two nurses in the triage area were also pleasant while they took my blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. In the following two hours, I watched three people ahead of me leave because they either couldnt or wouldnt wait any longer. After being there for three hours and not seeing a doctor or PA, I couldnt wait any longer either. I live alone, very seldom ever get sick, and at this point have no primary care physician. All I needed was someone to give me something to fight off the bug that was making me sick. A Doctor visit was three days out, Urgent care was six hours if I was lucky. I didnt have that kind of time that day because nobody was around to call to take care of my dogs, so I told them I couldnt wait any longer and left.I have since managed to recover on my own, and have been waiting for a bill from the ER, which Im sure will be through the roof even if they really didnt do anything. I have a high deductible on my insurance, since that is the only plan I can afford, and have never had to use it till now so this will all probably have to come out of my pocket.I guess Healthcare has gone the way of the justice system now. You get what you can afford, and if you cannot afford $500+ a month for you premiums, your pretty much left out in the cold. A sad situation for someone like me that is over sixty and making just enough to live on if you dont want any extras.

Mountain Vista is beautiful, I didnt stay in the main hospital but I went to the Marchand Institute for my consultation. I want to applaud everyone for what we saw. After years in hospitals and clinics I have never seen such an innovative, team based, patient centered approach to surgical care. You guys really do things very different than everyone else, and I am so grateful for it.

I would not go back to this hospital even in a life or death situation. In the 6 hours I was in the waiting room I saw the staff be rude and condescending to people arriving in pain. A 3 year old with a head injury was told they would have to wait multiple hours even to get triaged, so they had to go to a different hospital. The bathrooms were disgusting and not sanitized, they smelled like urine. When I did finally get a bed I was told nothing was wrong with me and there was nothing they could do, even though my pain level was a 10! The ER doctor Andrea said she thought I was just looking for drugs. It looked like Andrea hadnt showered in weeks, her hair was greasy and not presentable. So I left to go to another hospital that would take me seriously. They found out that I have a serious kidney infection which completely explains my symptoms. Nothing about this visit gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing or had any compassion for their patients. I am submitting a formal grievance with the hospital.

Came to the Marchand Institute at Mountain Vista for ovarian cyst surgery and nothing about the experience disappointed. This is the highest level of care I have ever seen.

I have to say not only is going in for surgery a scary thing for the patient, but also for their family members. I was extremely disappointed that my surgeon did not go talk to my husband after my surgery was over to tell him how things went. I had to wake up after surgery, and ask if he could come back with me. The surgeon never came to talk to me after the surgery either. My first day home was painful as expected, but the pain medication they gave me didnt help at all. I have yet to sleep a full night. I called the Doctors office to ask for a different prescription and they sent in for a medication that im allergic to. I still havent gotten medication that works. No one has even called to see how i am doing. It makes me sad as a nurse that used to work at Mt. Vista, but more so as a patient hurting.

I would give them negative starts if I could, but one star is the lowest option. I am unfortunately part of the covid scam that this hospital is doing to previous patients. DO NOT GET TREATED FOR COVID-19 AT THIS HOSPITAL. They will lie about the treatment codes and try to force you to pay for covid-19 treatments that would otherwise be covered 100% by your insurance. I have been battling with them for a year a half, and am about to hire an attorney to get them to stop lying. They are trying to charge me for treating my symptoms, instead of the official diagnosis. Every other bill I had from my covid treatment was taken care of immediately, but Mountain Vista Medical Center supposedly likes to harass and illegally bill their patients. Considering going to 3 on your side about this as well. Stay away from this hospital at all costs!

My dad went there for Covid, he got intubated and we didn’t get a chance to talk to him. He died without saying goodbye. Horrible experience.

This is a terrible place to work! It is a terrible place to be a patient. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the prettiness of the place. It is NO DIFFERENT then when Iasis owned it.They treat the staff terrible and treat the patients worse. I have been a witness to things that made my skin crawl.Never in all my years have I had such an uncaring boss and coo and ceo. This place doesn’t care about it’s staff nor the patients.

It was a non-invasive outpatient surgery, all staff members were outstanding, very helpful and friendly, that was my second surgery at this hospital both times staff was super friendly and professional. Staff was instrumental in making sure I new the procedures. I Highly recommend mountain Vista medical center to anyone having any medical procedure.

If I could leave a minus score, I would. After waiting over 2hrs with urinary retention of 14 Hours I left and went to Banner Baywood and was treated within 10 minutes. There were not many people in the ER when I arrived but they wouldn’t give me an estimated wait time so I took my chances, big mistake. I couldn’t even get triaged, much less treated! My wife notified the clerk on 3 separate occasions as to my level of pain, but that didn’t seem to matter. Just for education, the male bladder hold approximately 500ml of urine, when I finally left and went to Banner I had over 900ml and my blood pressure was dangerously elevated. I have written to their COO and ER director but I don’t seriously expect a response. Save your own life, drive the extra 6 miles and go to Banner Baywood, they ROCK!

I never complain and I’m always the person to try to be understanding but the service I got was not ok after 6.5 hours I finally had to go to the nurses station and tell them I wanted to be discharged ! I was so upset with the services only positive was that the staff who cared for me when I first arrived were friendly and the nurse who discharged me was as well but will not be coming back !

I have never had such rude people. The nurse couldnt answer a simple question and got frustrated and yelled at me and walked out of the room. The doctor was very rude. Didnt talk really. And tried to take a metal circle thing with teeth to my open wounds without numbing the area or anything and I refused to let him so he said fine if I want to be that way he cant help me and walked out. I will never return there. Ever.

I have to say I am disappointed with the ER at this hospital. I have visited once for myself 11/2020, once fir my daughter when she broke her foot 8/2021 (14 years old), and today 9/2021 with my 11 year old son who has a piece of pencil lead in his throat. All 3 times the waiting room and back ER area look very unkempt. The floors look like they had not been mopped in days each visit. The restrooms were filthy. The wait is very long. With my daughters broken foot we did not get a room for the first 3 hours. They pulled her from the lobby for xray and out her back in the lobby. For my son it was looking like a 5 hour wait. They said they could only xray him. They did check his vitals before putting us back in the lobby to wait for xray. We ended up leaving. I never say anything negative to my kids about their drs/hospitals as I do not want them scared. Both visits, each of my kids leaned to me and whispered that the place was very dirty and they wanted to go somewhere else. The staff were always nice to us. We were not high need nor admitted, so our contact was limited. But this is why I have the extra star. For the amount of people in the lobby, there should be enough revenue to remodel and keep the ER clean. It is dirty and depressing.
