This is the best hospital in Arizona PERIOD! I had the most incredible nurses, doctors & specialists taking care of me 24/7 around the clock! They always came in with a smile on their face and always made sure I was comfortable during my stay. Rachel & Nicole, my ER nurses, thank you for the best care and always being by my side. Austin & Kylie my nurses for the remainder of my stay, thank you for always making sure I was good, happy and comfortable as well. I can’t thank this entire staff enough for taking such good care of me during my stay.

From the smooth transfer there from the Urgent care I was met with nothing but kindness.. The hospital rooms are immaculate at beautiful... Jeanne was exceptional and friendly and Emily Avelar went out of her way to make sure my nutritional needs were met. I wish I could remember more names but I was medicated. A Big thank you to all your staff who are kind , friendly and personable.

I needed to get stitches and decided to come here for the first time. SO HAPPY I made that decision. Everything was top notch and fast. Every nurse & Dr I met couldnt have been nicer. I was expecting a typical ER that takes..forever. Got a head scan, stitches, & a shot. Walked out in 90 minutes. Highly recommend.

I brought my daughter in last night due to a fever. Mommy worry was kicking in, and I just wanted to make sure she was okay. The nurse that we dealt with was super amazing! She talked to my daughter and made the time there stress free. The doctor on call was amazing as well! Very friendly, listened to my concerns and fed into my need to just be told “everything is okay”.The only reason I am giving 4 stars is due to the front staff. She was not friendly at all. She came into the room to collect my coinsurance of $250. I asked her if she could bill me as I did not have the funds. She said “this isn’t a PCP office, payment is due at time of service”. I thought the bed side manner was not polite at all. If I were just to see her, I would not recommend this place…With that being said, we had a good experience of being at this ER.

Came on on the night of July 27th around 6:00pm. The whole staff was great except for the front desk lady who had an attitude since walking in. My boyfriend and I were first at My doctor now who suggested he come to a hospital instead because he appeared sick. I guess the front desk lady figured my boyfriend wasn’t dying and repeatedly stated he needed to go to a clinic instead… She was just really rude… very short when speaking yet their was hardly anyone in the waiting room. Overall a nasty attitude… Again everyone else was great.

I was admitted on Thursday night 11/19/2020 and had surgery 11/20/2020 Also a big shout out and a BUG THANKS TO BETH THE OR NURSE, SHE WAS AMAZING HAD GREAT LAUGHS WITH ALL OF THEM!!!!! . I would give this place zero stars if I could. My mother was administered to this facility. I was told that I could not see my mother because she had not had a COVID test. At this point, she had been there for four hours. No test. No nothing. So I can’t see my mother because she has not had a COVID test however, over the last 4 hours she has been interacting with the medical staff. So if COVID is so contagious and so dangerous, why is this hospital testing every patient first thing when they come in the door. Finally after the test came back negative, we were told I lay one visitor per day. This is about control. What a joke.

Although this was my very first ER visit, and they were slammed with many ill patients, I was throughly pleased. From the front office staff to the RNs and Physican, everyone made my nerve wracking situation much more calming. They got me in, seen and treated and sent home in a very timely manner. Thank You Dignity Team, all of you are awesome, I appreciate each and every one of you.

I went to the ER today for chest pain and numbness. The check in was fast! The staff were friendly. I’ve been to this location many times and never felt this cared for ever. The doctor is who stood out the most. Dr Micah Hale. He not only made me laugh but he realized that my problem was not that I probably had a stroke or something but I needed my back snapped. He took the time to do that. Worst best pain I’ve ever had. I didn’t know I needed that. The pain went away instantly although it came right back after 15 minutes. I still don’t think I have anything real serious going on but he is still checking me throughly. We need more doctors and staff like I experienced today. Thank you all!

Was in ER my back went out and as it turns out had really low potassium. Horrible experience will never step foot in that place again. Was left in my room 2hrs having intense back spasms asking to be cathed because I could not void on my own. Finally my spasms subsided and I was able to urinate. I kid you not the PA comes In to cath me I said I just went and the thing on the wall collected it. He says it isn’t a clean catch so he proceeds to cath me and of course nothing. (he also called me sweetie while placing the catheter in YUCK) Then he says they are going to give me another bag of fluids and try again later MIND you my bladder being full causes me excruciating pain in my back, and they haven’t given me anything for pain! 10 minutes later the nurse comes in and say let’s get the ball rolling and gives me meds says she can collect the urine out of the container on the wall...WTH!? It was so disorganized and chaotic for me as a patient, and I thought several times about calling an ambulance and going elsewhere.

I came in with a perforated appendix last Tuesday night and was discharged Saturday. The entire staff from the Dr’s to the nurses and technicians were all very professional and supportive. On Friday I thought I would be going home but was informed we had to wait for a infection Dr consult first. I was noticeably upset about this, until my nurse Dakota came in and lended an ear. She showed true empathy, understanding and was extremely supportive while we talked. Thank you Dakota for helping me during that brief moment of despair on my part. The entire 3rd floor staff greeted me with smiles every time I walked by (which I did every 30 minutes while awake). I can’t even be upset at the hospitalist who was looking out for my best interest in having me stay that extra day. I felt like my interests were above all others.

04/04/2021I ended up in the emergency room today with three broken ribs. From the second we pulled up at the ER, to the time we left, I was completely impressed with every single Nurse, Dr and staff member. Talk about being professional and kind and respectful! They all were. We had other choices of hospitals but I’m glad we chose this one. Great job 👏

Ive gone to this ER twice over the past week, and I have nothing but good things to say about this location and the staff. I didnt have to wait at all, and was taken back immediately. Even when I was in the room, I didnt have to wait long for testing/imaging to be completed. The staff is absolutely fantastic, they listened to my concerns and were helpful and reassuring.

I will die before I ever step foot into this hospital again. The doctor literally came into the room and said it is all in your head and left. Did not check me out or anything. I could barely walk and by the time I got home I COULDNT even stand up. I had to be carried to the bathroom and everything. I screamed for over 24 hours in extreme pain. I NEVER go to the doctors and this is why 99% of them are useless.then they charged me 2000 dollars for this visit. You have quite the scam going on here and I hope the government catches on and the insurances. You only got 1 star because I cannot give a -2000.

I met with Dr Tanner Folster. It is comforting knowing we have some good docs so close to home. I was in pain that was Ten plus and he quickly diagnosed and was able to get me over the hump until I can get more comprehensive care. These people put their lives on the line everyday and deserve praise. Thanks for the care

I have been there twice!! Each time they went above and beyond. Everyone there is caring and very thorough in everything they do. I have never felt so comfortable and at ease like I did there. Dr.john Mason really listens to you and Brandon the tech did my IV both times and was amazing!! Im the person that gets poked 4 and 5 times when I need to give blood or get an IV , and he got it the first time!! The second time took two tries but thats because I was dehydrated. He was so sweet thru it all and I cant thank him enough! I love this hospital and staff so much!!

I would steer clear of this hospital and the urgent care / mimi ER that they own. Worst hospital experience. Nurses nice...yes. their nurse staff is comprised of nurses looking to pick up extra shifts. No continuity in care. Surgeon quit. They hunt for another. Management will stop in yet nothing changes. If you have a choice dont go to this facility.

Im a paramedic who transports to this hospital very often. Ive had nothing but good experiences here so when my mom was injured I recommended she went here as I love dignity health hospitals and its close to her home. Unfortunately when she was here her ED doctor Dr Minhas Sajjad was extremely rude to her and treated her poorly. He made gross statements about her being drug seeking when she didnt even ask for narcotics and underplayed her knee injury. How about some toradol ED doc? You dont have to give every patient narcotics and you can still treat pain without narcotics.

I had to take my husband there on Sunday. He had been sick for over a week with fever of 102 and sweating with uncontrollable coughing. He had a recent history of Valley Fever with a lung cavitation and was successfully treated in the past with antifungal medication and antibiotics. They did a chest X ray and CT scan at the hospital. The scan clearly stated that he had pneumonia that was not a typical representation of Covid pneumonia, but more of the type commonly presented with a pattern of atypical fungus present. The PAs changed shift and my husband was told he had Covid (despite never having tested him for it) and released with only having received an IV and no medication at all. I had to call and speak to the other PA who replaced the other PA during the shift change. When I told her about my husbands history of Valley Fever and fungus in the lungs and read her back the CT scan report she immediately realized the ball had been dropped and called in a prescription for anti-fungal medication. I appreciate the PA trying to correct the mistake, but my husband should have been given much better attention when he was actually there in the hospital. I know that staff are overworked with Covid patients coming in, but my husband did not receive good care at all, and we are so disappointed. We had to actually pay another $60 to see another provider the next day because my husbands pneumonia was still so bad, where he was given a prescription for antibiotics in addition to an inhaler and ibuprofen to bring the fever down. We received much better care from this provider than we did at Dignity Health--we will never go back there.

I had knee surgery at this hospital and my experience there was amazing. All of the people that work there are so kind and helpful, especially all of the nurses. The kind of care I received there made me feel safe and looked out for. More hospitals should take after this one. They really live up to their slogan about human kindness.

We went in February for my youngest son for a finger that had been shut in the door by my daughter and his finger was swollen(we thought it might be broken; it wasnt broken). The staff was friendly and kind, but after the bill came our portion of the bill was $849 plus Doctor fees of $231. The total bill was over $2100(Hospital portion) for 45 minutes and an x-ray. I called to dispute the charge and was informed that this was a level 3 classification and that I couldnt have fees reduced. Additionally, I couldnt even make a credit card payment on the phone, that I would have to mail in the payment, but that I could pay the Doctors portion of the bill on the phone. Who doesnt allow to pay bills via debit/credit? This is attrocious overcharging, and my family will NOT be going back to this hospital due to unfair billing practices.

I went into this ER with pain when I pee and I was having bad cramps along with throwing up a whole days worth of food. I am 15 weeks pregnant and the dr would only take my pee. I asked her for a ultrasound and she said it was not necessary when it is in my situation being that the baby is not getting the nutrients it needs. I would NOT recommend coming here as Dr. Janice morasch did nothing for me and coming here was a waste of my time!

The MD in charge was negligent, rude, judgement, discriminatory, lack of humanity compassion or kindness. He was unable to listen to our story, we have been dealing with David stomach crisis for years, many hospitalization. We tried to explain to the medical team that treatment has to be pair with a non narcotics sedative to stop the vomiting, antiemetic medications won’t do it by it self. they refused to listen to us, David lactic acid spike to unsafe levels he was with a pain of 10 out of 10 and vomiting constantly every 5-10 minutes for over 6 hrs while under their care. After hours of deterioration, respiration at a rate of 35/min, we both, mother and son were crying in desperation asking for help and being completely ignored by medical staff, while they were telling jokes and laughing loudly at the nurse station. In ocasiones when David will past out because of the pain I will ask for help and the MD will said close the door you are being to laud and completely ignored us. Our experience was a nightmare from hell in the ER. When David got hospitalized and moved us to a room the RN was able to listen and advocate for the patient, she got proper orders from GI doctors as soon as they gave him Compazine an anti-psychotic that can treat severe anxiety, nausea and vomiting, same type of medication that we were requesting since the beginning and they refused to listen. As soon as the medication was given David started responding to treatment, he stopped vomiting, hyperventilating, pain lowered and he finally could rest and heal. We are traumatized and very disappointed to your ER care.

My daughters cough and what we assumed as a cold turned worse last night when we were forced to make the decision to go to the ER. We were treated extremely fast, efficient, and with the respect any human deserves not just rushed and half listened to. We were in and out in a short amount of time even though they had to run many tests which diagnosed my daughter with pneumonia. Thank you for making my daughter feel better and not require us to sit in a waiting room for hours.

Visited the ER for fast heart rate & chest pressure. The staff is very professional. Quick to react. I was kept well informed on tests provided. Other people in the ER, it was fairly busy. I never felt I was forgotten. Three cheers for a local hospital in my community!!

Terrible hospital, nurse staff is incapable of getting in touch of the hospitalist or specialist.had to call in the house supervisor to get any contact with doctors about the plan for my 3 day admission.then a nite time nurse is incapable of any responce she doesnt like or want, even though the answer is correct and polite.i ended up having to request house supervisor again..and they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor, they are forcing me to talk to a charge nurse that i have already talked to....

Came into ER at night was having trouble breathing and stomach burning and almost passed out, after 10 minutes in ER the doctor told me Syncope is what they call when feeling like passing out and its not a emergency its ok to pass out its not dangerous....They didnt give me anything for stomach burning or trouble breathing and told me to just go home and rest.....horrible hospital staff very unhelpful over $700 in Dr bills not including hospital bill for 10 minutes of nothing....

My mother was a patient at this hospital for a week. She was admitted because of breathing issues. Upon her entering the hospital she told the providers many times that she has ALS and to please call her ALS specialist physician. They didnt. After her being there for four days and getting worse, I pushed for 24 hours to have the ALS and hospital physicians contact each other. When they finally did, her specialist told them what kinds of treatments she needed. The hospital had been treating her with oxygen and other breathing treatments. Her problem was not a lack of oxygen, but a build up of CO2 (which they didnt even check until the 5th day she had been there). The oxygen they had her on was making her condition worse. One night while she was in the hospital, she had a severe breathing issue/ attack. She pressed her nurse button several times for over an HOUR and NO ONE checked on her. I am EXTREMELY unhappy with this hospital, the lack of communication, lack of attention to the patient, and lack of (a much needed) protocol concerning high risk specialty patients. DO NOT go to this hospital if you can go some where else.

The 2 stars is for how quickly they get you back and how nice the nurses are. I have taken my mom here before for a cracked rib and the visit went good. This time I took my mom in for back pain. The doctor didnt do any imaging and even said that they didnt have an mri machine. He gave her a shot of morphine and sent her home. That was 2 days ago. Still in severe pain, I took her to another ER. They did a CT scan and she has a lumbar fracture! She has been in such pain and the fact that this place didnt do anything infuriates me! If you have something simple then this place would be great! If you think that it could be more than that then you are better off going elsewhere. Its a shame really because the nursing staff is great and the location is convenient.

Did not have to wait when I arrived. There were several nurses who took care of me when I was in the room. The doctor was AWESOME. All of them listened to me and showed that they really did care. Will continue to go there if I ever have an emergency.

Loved that this hospital was near my home. Nursing was wonderful!! Doctor however was very unpleasant. He did order lab work and an IV he let me go home said I could go back to work and to follow up with me PCP. I did follow up with my PCP and they sent me to a different hospital surprised I was released without further treatment!!! :-(I found myself back at this ER and had a better experience. So I updated the score I gave. This time they even called the following day to follow up.

The doctors are absolute jokes. The nurses are amazing. But unless you have covid do not expect to get any treatment here. They get really upset if your test comes back negative. And they do not want to help you with any other issues.

Absolutely loved this hospital! After sitting in Banners ER for 90min, and being told it could be up to a 4hr wait, we came to Dignity and had zero wait. They took my husband right back and took great care of his infection. Dr. Wright and his staff that night were absolutely amazing!! We could not have been more satisfied.

My son was transported to this hospital by ambulance, which he is 10 and they didnt let his father go with him. Once to the hospital, I was trying to go see him since I am the mother and have sole custody. They wouldnt allow me to switch with his father who had his family and kids in the car waiting. His father was told that if he left, my child would be left alone and I wouldnt be allowed to go in. Is that even legal? This is absolutely ridiculous and unethical.

I recently spent nine days at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital in Mesa. My nurses were incredible. The food is absolutely outstanding. Would never know it was hospital food LOL. I was very impressed with the fact that the CEO actually paid a visit to my room, and asked questions about my stay and my opinion on anything that would help improve the facility. I did not have any complaints. Was very satisfied with a treatment that I received at this hospital and would highly recommend them. The only thing lacking at this point are specialist, but as the hospital grows Im sure they will be adding doctors to the staff.

Doctors and nurses are all great. I recently spent 5 days in the hospital and everyone who worked with me did so with great respect especially one nurse Tim. He was on top of medications, blood sugar checks, and gave me info that will help me when im released. This hospital is amazing thanks to the staff. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Budnick is awesome!! Gave me way much more info about my condition. Great recommendations also.All around great guy! Very knowledgeable and cares about your well being.Carrie, Logan & Brett were all awesome! Best hospital ER I have ever been too, hands downWait was only 5 minutes to get put into a room.... admissions rolled in their computer and took all the info they needed. Co-pay was made while waiting in the room. Definitely recommend this hospital, very clean and organized.

Didnt bill our insurance! Sent a bill for over $1200 to our house a month and a half later! This is a new hospital. Its spacious, clean, and there was hardly a wait. The doctor gave sound advice and helped us treat our daughter judiciously. But trying to leave the building, they tried to leverage us to pay $250 since it was the middle of the night and they couldnt verify what I told them, which is that there was no copay for my daughters visit. I refused because thats absurd. A month and a half later alls been quiet and now I receive a bill for over $1200. I call our insurance company and they say they were never billed. My insurance company called the hospital for me and straightened it out. Hopefully.

I dont give out outstanding rankings easily. Being definitively impressed, across all spectrums and by every single staff member, during an ER visit (from start to finish) is something I have NEVER experienced prior to today! Even though I will have to be transferred to a bigger hospital given my unique medical condition, I still give this hospital 5 stars! I was in so much pain and discomfort that my husband and I decided to come here, because Dignity Health is so much closer than my main hospital. I am so glad we made that decision! They have been outstanding from their bedside manner and professional/personal etiquette, to their deligence to proper infection control protocols and sterile field techniques. I was very grateful for their care, compassion, and quick response time. They did the best they could to make me comfortable, while performing all the tests, scans and labs necessary to seemlessly transfer me to my final destination hospital. Of all of the hospitals I have been to for my condition throughout my lifetime, this hospital ranks #1 in all aspects of care!

I have a coworker with exact same insurance plan as me get charged less than a 1/3 of what i was charged for the emergency room service charge! That is after being given a final price that would be owed, then later charged additional separate fees for the same service. Additionally, their billing department is even worse. Several times, now, i have spoken with them about outstanding balances, as they have been paid, but i still receive statements saying i owe money and it will be going to collections. This has even gone as far as me providing the checks #’s and amounts. Eventually, i was even brought Aetna Insurance on the phone for a conference call. At which point they explained all bills were already paid and provided payment confirmations to them. I was advised everything was taken care of, but here i am still receiving letters several months after service and payments were completed. The money has long been out of my HRA, with deductible having already been met as well, but no resolution in sight. This place was so terrible. The nurses were super nice but the doctors were completely rude beyond belief. My condition was life threatening and I was pushed out the door as fast as possible with a low level antibiotic. I almost lost my life 3 days later. Thankfully I went to Banner Gateway and was treated and taken seriously over a seven day stay. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My wife had to go to the hospital after my doughier was born for a blood clot. She loved the hospital and the services they provided. However now getting the bill for over $1400 that i need to be on a payment plan for is when it all went down hill. I called to set it up, they told me if i wanted to be on a payment plan it would have to pay $175 a month for 12 months... So in other words, i now have to pay $2100 instead of $1400, i love 50% interest on a hospital bill. To boot, the hospital does not bill directly to you, its though a 3rd party right off the bat. So who profits form all this interest, the 3rd party does. Needless to say i will never use any Dignity Health again.

This hospital deserves a full 5star rating. The person who posted the bad rating (Ruth Hart) needs to check the name if the hospital and make sure its the right one.... This is the cleanest, most sanitary, fresh smelling hospital i have ever been to... The staff is very caring and empathetic towards their patients and the friends and family of the patient... I just found the only hospital that i will ever go to in az now!!! THANK YOU DIGNITY HEALTH!!!!

I am so glad they built this hospital right near my house. Got really sick and they have been taking wonderful care of me!! Ive been hospitalized a few times recently and this hospital has been the very best. Been to other local hospitals and did not receive near the quality of care as I have encountered here.

Luckily there was no waiting at the ER when I arrived so I was taken back immediately. Nurses, the doctor and the entire staff treated me with respect and kindness. Rare these days for overworked staff in most hospitals. I would absolutely make this my first choice in an emergency.

Overall, unsatisfied with my experience. I visited this hospital one night when I had a terrible cough and could barely breathe. I was admitted quickly, doctor was only in my room for 3 minutes, gave me a steroid and sent me on my way. I was there less than a half hourFive months later, I recieved a bill for $1,400!!!! For less than 30 min and minimal care. After checking with my insurance, I did owe that amount (whatever, I acknowledge this is my plan) but it took 4 phone calls, 8 transfers and being on hold collectively 45 minutes to pay my bills. I spent more time trying to pay than seeing a dr. They wont allow online bill pay and require phone calls but each person you speak to wants you to verify every piece of information before you can proceed. It felt like a lot of wasted time.

I have never been in a more friendly ER. Our wait was literally 2 minutes from the minute we walked through the doors. The staff here is incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable.

Wish I could give zero stars, I had an awful experience here. They will treat you horrible, and way over charge you. Save your time and money, go somewhere else.Management, has assured me that they will be in contact with me, but it has already been 3 weeks and I have had no phone calls.

I went to Dignity Health ER across from my work. Symptoms were back ,shoulder and chest pain with shortness of breath I was there for a couple hours,they decided to ambulance me to the hospital said it was my heart.... The admitted me at the furthest hospital possible from my home or anyone for that matter. I Had to just leave my truck at that ER . I have now been in the hospital for 3 days. They have rotated my pain meds of morphine, toradol And percocet . Doctor comes in a minute ago says I Can go home and walked out. I then had my nurse come in explain. She said its not my heart ,they do not know whats wrong!!!! So I said OK what about my pain? Do I get sent home with something until I get into a Doctor that can figure out is wrong???? I have an apt already set up the 26th of this month. She said the doctor is sending you home with nothing. So your telling me I have no diagnosis ,yet I was able to function because my pain was tolerable and now I stayed her for NOTHING to find out its not my heart like I figured it wasnt and now I go back into my daily routine of not functioning until I see my doc.? Do not get me wrong this hospital is new,clean, the nurses are so kind and great food! Just would never recommend staying due to lack trying to figure out what is actually wrong instead of focusing in just my heart!!!!!!!!Apparently I have irregular heart beat they do not know what is causing it. The pain Im in they do not know whats causing it.

I had great and prompt care at this facility. All the nurses and doctors in the ER and the hospital were top notch. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Reviews of the surgical staff were all 5 stars, greatly easing any concerns I had if surgery would have been required. Special thanks to Dr Betz and Kristin in the ER, and the great nurses on the 2nd floor. Belle, Cherry, Maidy, Tisha, Ophella, Raquel, Christina and Paige, you are the best. Also thanks to my hospitalist Dr Caputo, and to Tanja for doing a great job cleaning my room.

The nurses are wonderful. But i went in one night to the er and the doctor stated I had an upper GI bleed then sent me home still in so much pain. Came back the next day due to unbelievable pain and not being able to hold food down. Same docter saw me stated he was going to admit me and run test then came in and said there is no room. Different doctor camr in due to change a shift and he stated I was going home even though I was still throwing up my husband then stated we will be going to a different hospital. Well then a bed magically opened up and the admitted me. Then the doctor the next day said it was because I was fat and sent me home. The nurse was even shocked. I went home still crying because of how much pain I was in. And still could not hold down food. I went to a banner GI and went under surgery right away. The only reason Im giving 3 stars is because of the nurses they were amazing. Defently going to push this further

I like this hospital, and find it convient it is so close. I find the 2 1 stars hilarious as this hospital was not even open a year ago, and only opened less than 2 months ago. How can it smell bad and be unclean? I figure these two individuals work for rival companies or they got the hospital mixed up the hospital at Signal By the and Southern. That hospital is horrible, smells, and the workers are inexperienced and rough!
