They have stopped answering the phone

I do not see where all of the bad reviews come from about this office. From the first time I visited I felt great. The dr. was very knowledgeable, patient, thorough but most of all friendly. That actually goes for the entire staff. Mercedes (receptionist) is one of the kindest and sweetest people. Very helpful. My experience was phenomenal with this practice. They handled my issue with expertise and precision and now I feel and look great. I will come back to this office if need so be and will recommend anyone I know to this office. Happy patient!

I really like the people at Allure! I usually get bad news when I go there and yet I leave happy. Dr. Sloten told me I was one of the younger patients and so we were going to be good friends since Id have to see him regularly for the foreseeable future. He was right. We are friends.

I had to switch dermatologists because of my insurance. Ive had multiple skin cancers removed. I had several spots of concern to have checked. I felt Dr. Sloten was very through in checking my areas. Every person I dealt with was very nice.

The staff is rude and almost inept. I spent more time on the phone practically begging them to make sure my prescriptions were filled on time and in the end they told me to deal with the Insurance.

I called to schedule a new patient consult after being referred by a very good friend and long time patient of Dr. Slotten. Upon calling I was corrected by the receptionist in a very rude manner of how to pronounce the Doctors name. The receptionist was very short and not helpful. She told me to call my insurance company and find out if a referral was needed and I said ok. On my third attempt to schedule an appointment she accused me of hanging up on her. I asked for her name and told her she was being very rude. She refused to give her name, laughed at me and hung up in my face. I continued to call back to ask for a Manager and she continued to hang up on me. She would pick up the phone, place me on hold and then hang up again. I cant wait to see the doctor in another office and report his very rude and unprofessional receptionist. Unbelievable that she treats people that way!

Patient BEWARE, they will tell you to come in for a follow-up appointment after your first appointment then charge you again for everything. I paid my balance on the day of my follow-up appointment then one month later got the exact same bill. I called to discuss my charges since I figured something was not right since I paid my original balance and was told to come back for a follow-up visit to make sure everything was better after the first visit. Upon calling I was told I have to talk with Caroline who handles billing. I called and left a message for Caroline to discuss my bill on 3/29, 3/29, 4/5, 4/10 and 4/11 not ONCE getting a call back. On 4/17 I called again and finally got to talk with Caroline, she told me it would be against the law to zero out my bill and I needed to talk with my insurance company. I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Sloten, but is this the kind of staff you want to deal with??? I am currently working with my insurance company to fix their over billing.

Ive been a patient of Dr Slotens for 14 years and have nothing but positives to say about him and his staff. Dr Sloten is knowledgeable, professional and gives only honest answers and advice. His office offers prompt and efficient services.

I have been a patient of Dr. Slotens since 2007. Each visit has been direct and helpful, and he has a kind demeanor, and a nice sense of humor. He resolved skin issues for me, which no other derm has been able to, despite many prior visits.I would like to mention that I read some other reviews of this office, and they pertain to a doctor who is no longer with the practice. Dr. Smith received complaints from many people, and should not reflect on Dr. Sloten.One review in particular refers to a visit where the patient was not the reviewer, and was posted three years after the visit. The review did not include the physicians name. This sort of review should be taken with a grain of salt.Thank you.
