This place is an amazing pediatric dentistry office. We are not local to Mesa but needed an emergency visit during our vacation. Not only did they accommodate us but their office staff was so professional and friendly, on time, and the doctor gave us stellar care. The office is adorable—geared toward children an decorated with the cutest dentistry art. There is a Polaroid collage in the shape of a tooth of kids who are cavity free —such a good motivator for kids to do well for their next visit. They give stickers after X-rays and a coin for kids at the end of their visit to use in their toy machine for a prize. Also, I thought the price of care was reasonable and worth it. We got the resolution we needed and if we lived locally we would definitely return to this office.

Dr. West is amazing with kids and so are all the staff! My 9 y/o had a tooth pulled and came out with gauze in her numb little mouth saying, That was fun! I love this place! 🤣🤣❤

Super friendly staff, nice clean facility. My son is 12 and is not a fan of cleanings. Our first time here was so much better than any other dentist we’ve been to. The hygienist talked with him through the whole cleaning to reassure him and help him stay calm. The dentist was super nice and talked with me as well as my son and treated both of us with professionalism and kindness. The dentist also was very honest and conservative with his opinions on cavities and pulling teeth, most ped dentists we’ve been to just “treat” every little thing they find, even in baby teeth that will fall out anyway. As a cash-pay patient I really appreciate getting all the info with none of the pressure, and then deciding what to do. Their prices are really reasonable as well, even for other procedures besides cleanings, and I’m grateful that I feel like I can afford to take my kids to the dentist without dental insurance. Super excited to finally have a dentist for my kids that we will stay with long-term.

Just took my daughter here for the first time today and was surprised by the friendly staff, clean environment, and cute decor for the kids!She got a free electric toothbrush and t-shirt for her first visit, plus a token for a toy, and both the doctor and dental assistant were extremely kind to us! Will definitely be back.

I love this place! They are so good with the children, my daughter loves to go, doesn’t like leaving lol. And they do this picture incentive so the kids take a picture every visit and hang it on the wall and if at their next visit still no cavities they take another and bring the first home with them, the kids love it. Also they give them toothbrushes and other stuff they need to take care of their teeth and at the end of the visit if they did good they get a coin to buy a toy out of the machine. Very clean and does practice social distancing

Office staff, hygienists, and Dr. West are amazing! Everyone is so friendly and happy. They are great with kids. I love that he wasn’t pressuring me into fixing every issue and I felt like he was honest about treatment plans. Best Dentist and office ever!

We have only had great experiences for our children when they come to this dental office. The staff is friendly, especially to the children, they are quick, explain everything well and address any concerns with care. We are so happy with the care we have received.

I have four children and three of them are old enough to be seen at the dentist. I was having a hard time finding an affordable pediatric dentist office that had later hours to accommodate my work schedule. Luckily I found Desert Sun! They were able to get all three kids in at the same time, gave them free electric tooth brushes, and sent a hand written thank you note after the visit. I am glad I found this office!

Dr. West and his staff are knowledgeable and friendly! They always take the time to talk with me as the parent of the patient and make sure I feel informed. You can tell that they remember my boys and that helps them to feel confident and comfortable in their experience at the dentist!! My little 3 yr old princess first time to the dentist. As soon as we walked in the environment was kid friendly the staff greeted me and my daughter making conversation with her making her feel welcomed. Both the hygienist and dentist were very pleasant and patient with my daughter. She had a great visit and I appreciated how fun they made it for her.

What a great and friendly office. The receptionist that scheduled my appointment was so happy and friendly, it actually made me feel excited to visit the clinic. The outside is a bit drabby, but when you walk in it is like a home renovation. It is bright and fun. Jokes on the wall, TV with a movie playing. Speedy and attentive staff. I’m glad we found this place. The Dentist was personable, friendly, and kind. The dental assistance were gentle and helpful. This really is a top of the line dental clinic. Plus they take state insurance. Thanks everyone for making this visit awesome especially for my kiddos first visit.

Beyond amazing! We had a horrible experience with my son that is autistic at a different dentistry. First time taking my son here, starting from the phone call they were super helpful, and polite. Walked into a super clean place, friendly staff. Dental assistant with more than amazing, super patient with my son, and comforting towards his feelings. Dr was just awesome!! All in all this place is 5++ stars and would definitely recommend them! They gave my son a t-shirt, chose his own spin toothbrush, a baggy, and a prize! This is a place were definitely going to stick with. Thank you for everything!!

We have really enjoyed going to this dentist for the past few years. Everyone is very nice and my kids always seem to feel comfortable. They also enjoy getting a token to pick a prize out of a vending machine when their work is done. My kids needed some work and we are about to move, they made sure to fit them in even though they didnt originally have times available until after we needed to leave. Highly appreciated!

We took our two children for their first dental visits this morning. The hygienists were very kind and did a great job. The dentist was considerate and thorough. We did have a couple of cavities but the treatment plan we discussed makes me feel confident my son’s smile will be perfect again in no time.

Both hygienists we saw were friendly and kind and did well with my two kids (ages 5 and 7). They explained what they were going to do and did their best to make them comfortable. Dr West was kind, personable, friendly, and again made both me and my kids feel very comfortable.

Honestly love them!! I’ve been taking my son since he was 2 years old! Every time we come in they’re so nice and the assistants are amazing super patient and super nice! I highly recommend them! The dr as well is awesome and gives you options and makes you feel comfortable the whole visit!

My daughter is terrified of the dentist, so trips to the dentist aren’t fun for us. We walked into a beautiful clean waiting area with activities to keep little ones occupied while I did the paperwork. When we got to the back they explained everything to my daughter, they were soo caring and calm for her. She let them take X-rays and do the cleaning with no problem. Once done she got a ton of goodies which she loved and is excited to go back! The dentist and staff made our experience a great one! I will never go anywhere else and I will pass this info on to other parents!

I took my girls for the first time to see Dr. West at Desert Sun Pediatric Dentistry today. I cannot express how happy I felt walking out after the appointment was over. All of the staff is very friendly and they made both of my girls feel very comfortable. I was extremely grateful that Dr. West made sure to research all of the products they would be using on my daughter to make sure they were gluten free after I notified the office that she has Celiac’s Disease. He was very personable and took his time answering all of my questions. One of my daughters exclaimed on the way out that this was the best dentist office ever (she’s been to two others in her short little life)! The youngest agreed. I’m also very thankful that they are following safe Covid protocols (call before entering office, temp checks, wellness checklist, and masks). I would highly recommend this practice to anyone!

Website says they close at 5pm but that’s not true. They close earlier, I guess whenever they feel like it. They don’t pick up the phone during business hours either.

I have all 3 of my boys who are 9 and under go here at the same time and they always get them in and out and give feedback on their progress and any advice or recommendations and my boys love their experience each time.

The whole staff is very nice and friendly. They help make my 2 year old so comfortable.

I first began taking my 4 yo & 2 yo daughters here last summer and have been in for two exams & brief cleanings. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by an incredibly welcoming lobby and staff, and the kindness continues throughout the entire experience. The hygienist we’ve had is always great with my girls and makes them feel so comfortable, and Dr. West is great with the kids as well. This is the perfect place to introduce your children to a lifetime of proactive dental visits, my daughter is actually excited to go and counts down the days as it nears closer!

All I can say is WOW! We travel the country full time with our family and we have seen many pediatric dentists as we have 2 small children. My oldest (5) has had a crown and a filling at another dentist that was a decent experience. But this GREATLY exceeded my expectations. The dentist, and the rest of the staff were amazing. Patient, friendly, informative, efficient...I really was blown away. My son had one filling and the rest of his small ones filled with the silver solution treatment, he also got x-rays and his teeth cleaned and all completed within an hour and a very reasonable price. I loved how they had thoughtful extras like a tv over the chair with paw patrol, an electric toothbrush, a t-shirt AND some tokens to get a little present from a machine. For real. Just so great. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! My son said he can’t wait to go back 😂 ha!

You call when you arrive and are told when to come into the lobby, this cuts down on the number of people in close proximity to you while waiting. Everyone was super kind and helpful. My 6 yo wants to never leave this dentist...even if we move again. That pretty much says it all.

I was nervous to take my 1.5 year old son to the dentist. My son cried the whole time but thats because he doesnt sit still and didnt know what was going on. They made our experience fast and educated me in a timely manner. We got in and out.

I cant even lie the first experience my son had he was so afraid of the first one. So then that my dentist recommend this one. And he was so afraid to go because of the needle. They made him feel safe and he did so go and greatly appreciated how they treated my son. They were very calm with him and he was calm with them too as well I recommend to any parent. I chose this dentist based on reviews and was pleased with how nice the Dentist and his staff were. The only thing I would suggest is a little more time spent on the teeth, it just seemed quick, but my girls were comfortable and happy and thats what matters.

Oh my goodness...what a delightful day at the dentist office. This office is the entire package. The ambience of the office is definitely tailored to their young clients. My boys loved all the jokes on the walls, token for a prize, and new client goody bag. The staff are absolutely the NICEST people ever! They instantly calmed my boys nerves about getting their teeth cleaned. Dr West was so friendly and gentle with the boys. He clearly knows how to communicate with kids. My only complaint is that I am too old to get my teeth cleaned. We loved it and will definitely be returning.
