Grand Court has one staff member that should receive ten stars. She is Rachel Thrasher, one of the best employees at the court. She dresses like a true executive as most do not. Rachel is the first person that I go to for the solution to any of my problems. If Rachel cant fix it, there is no know solution to the problem. She is the go to person for any problems, whether it be personal, financial, spiritual, or general. Rachel knows how to get it taken care of. God Bless Her.

They say because they have “new management” things will get better. So we decided to give them a second chance it’s still the same thing I didn’t find out my mother was sent to the hospital and I find out after the fact of her leg being amputated. I called and left a message asking why they won’t inform me even tho it’s on record I’m the one to call and they never got back to me they reply on here to contact them for assistance yet don’t assist. Be careful sending loved ones there They don’t care about them.

If I could give them zero stars I would. This place is not run correctly and no one seems to know what they are doing. Since placing my grandma here it has been one issue after another. Medicine goes missing or not even given when it’s supposed to be and that happens every month. Now with everything going on with covid and the residents not able to eat in the dining area they have been delivering the food to their rooms, However they constantly skip her meals and she will call me telling me she’s hungry they haven’t fed her (This has happened many times not just once or twice). Can you imagine having your loved one who you can’t see call you and tell you they are hungry and not being taken care of? You place your loved ones here thinking they will be taken care of but that just isn’t the case. I can only imagine how the other residents are being treated or how long they go without meals because they have no one to speak up for them, it’s completely unacceptable. Don’t put your loved ones here it’s not how they sell you the place!

Lies,LIES and MORE LIES. FROM MINUTE WE SIGNED THE PAPERWORK ITS BEEN NOTHING BUT LIES. A NIGHTMARE I CANT WAKE UP FROM. The management is horrible there. NO COMPASSION, CARE OR CONCEpRN. The Staff is Awesome, the Caregivers, the Housekeepers and tte Servers are Really Great, thry try really hard and are very caring people. but they can only do so much becsuse they are all in fear if the Tyrant thst runs the place. I am trying to get ahold of the owners but all paths take me back to facility director. It is a great place if u are are a rule breaker. They allow drinking, smoking in resident rooms even when the resident is taking pain medicstion. I finally had to call Adult Protective Services and they crucified my Husbsnd for thst action. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE, BUT THAT IS ALL A SHOW. They told us msny lies to get us to SIGN. 5 seconds after, they ssid Oh by the Way and the Nightmare began.

I have an elderly friend that is a resident at the Grand Court. Today was a very bad experience for me and her. The aide that was to assist her in her time of an urgent need, did not show up to assist her. She was left in a very unsanitary way, for 45 minutes, assuming they would come to her aide.I arrived to visit with her, she was not in her residence, i proceeded to go back downstairs, that is where I found her, going back upstairs, she was a little confused, as to where her apartment was, but she told me that she had had a personal accident, and that the aide was supposed to meet her there. Well we arrived ,there was no one there. I finally could not stand to see her in that condition, I preceeded to assist her in helping her to get clean, and after leaving her on the toilet, she continued to use it, When I got back downstairs, I told the young Lady at the desk about it,she made a phone call to the wellness person,I spoke to her on the phone, she said she would take care of it. As I began to leave, I decidedb to go back up there. When I got back there were two aides making her bed, and yes I let them know they should be ashamed of themselves for not attending to her earlier.I must admit I raised my voice at them , No one should ever be mistreated they way did her. Also I had spoken to one of the young men earlier,I told him what the problem was, and he said he would let hi know. And to to top that off a woman came in and said she just came by. but she didnt come to help, she also said she would contact the aide too. I was also told not to talk to them that way,and that way was getting on them for not doing there jobs, and I was told if I didnt leave I would be escorted out !UNACCEPTABLE !!!!!!!!!! I hope none elses relatives has been treated the way my friend was treated,Iwill be contacting her Family to let them know what kind of place she is in.By the way her apartment is horrible !!! It is very dirty, smells awful !!!!!!! And people actually pay 2500.00 for that !!!!!!!

While by all appearances The Grand Court outwardly seems to be a great place, with its outside foutain, attractive dining area, reception sitting area, Piano for events, hallways like a hotel, decent apartments and even a pool area, dont be fooled. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The people who operate this facility are basically negligent. I placed my mother there in September 2016, and although she had some Dementia as her ONLY illness, she was placed in as an assisted living resident not in Memory Care. Both their Wellness Center and the Reception desk are masters at being evasive when you are trying to reach them. The reception desk is manned by people who also stand in as billing director, coordinator, which ever hat is needed. They were never available to answer my questions about my mother when I called. (My mother did not have a telephone of her own) and I got sent to voicemail every single time and they never called me back. The same goes for the Wellness Center, no one there to actualy speak to if you telephoned them, and if you went to their office door it was often closed or vacant or locked. If I left a message I was never called back. If I wanted to reach either of them you had to actually go in the facility to get any answers and chase them down. (I was living out of town for some of the time she was there) Not knowing much about these places and being there through AZ Long Term Care, I got suckered into putting my mom onto CAREMORE Insurance while she was there since their doctors come to the facility to treat the patients for everything. They made it sound like there would be a medical fair there every month to make sure all residents medical needs got taken care of. But the actual doctor made the rounds about every couple of months if that and certainly did not know the patients, and a NP handled the entire facility each week but only on ONE DAY a week. The rest was left to the Wellness Center who had a manned staff of 1 Nurse and 1 CNA. There was no time for individual care or patient awareness. They had 175 residents at least to keep check on. I felt they loaded my mother up with alot of unnecessary medications she didnt need. The care givers and housekeeping attendants seemed nice enough but were no where to be found when you went there. Because of this lack of care, over the NEW Years Holiday weekend my mother walked out of the facility and ended up across a busy street in a CVS parking lot asking to see a doctor. The people at the CVS Pharmacy called the paramedics since she was obviously confused and took her to the hospital. It was three days later (and I was not in Phoenix at the time) when the hospital phoned me to ask me where to release her. I had heard nothing from Grand Court staff, I assume all management and nursing staff had taken the long 4 day holiday weekend off and the residents were left to the CNAs and health aides during that 4-day weekend and they were not aware that she was not in her bed or in the facility at all for 3 days!! The efficiency of this place at the time was at the level of the 3 Stooges. I immediately too ker out of Grand Court and placed her somewhere else. The new facility was appauled at the physical condition my mother arrived in. It was apparent that Grand Court had not taken the slighest bit of care of her and her physical condition had worsened and she needed rehabilitaion services.I knew nothing of this and I tried to keep in contact with them often. They are a very evasive facility to deal with. I dont know if anything has changed after my mom left, I think they got a new administrator, but I wasnt going to stick around any longer at this joke of a place. My mothers condition deteriorated after that and she died 6 months later. This place is NOT RECOMMENDED.
