My dad who is almost 80 years old and not a candidate for any surgery has been seeing Dr. Zarse. Thank you for giving him some back pain relief to be able to enjoy life! Best doctor!

As a surgeon in the community I have a close working relationship with many local pain specialists. Karl is very knowledgeable about interventions to alleviate pain and applies superior techniques in his practice. I have heard back from many patients that are so pleased with his work. I would recommend him without reservation!

I have had back problems stemming back to the early 70’s with surgery needed to recover the use of my left leg. Another surgery in the late 80’s added more back lower back pain but did relieve the sciatic nerve pain of my left leg. In 2006 doctors thought it was a good idea to implant a neurostimulator to alleviate the pain but it backfired and was removed in 2010. This left me with new pain in my thorax and no matter where I went or who I saw there was no relief for my new pain until I met Dr Zarse. His treatment was incredibly life changing and I will be forever grateful.

Dr Zarse was professional and knowledgeable. I have never done a review but felt it was warranted. He suggested I get a CT and MRI, sensing my concern he called me 15 minutes after I had completed the off site tests! HIs explanation was concise and easy to digest. Dr. Zarse gave me my life back. I had RF Ablation of the nerves in my tailbone which had immediate pain relief! No more pain meds and now I can snowmobile and ride bikes again!! W00t!!8/21/19Had the RF Ablation again and it was easy, no pain, great staff and I am ready for the forest. Thank You!!!

Dr. Zarse is a an excellent doctor. He is patient. He listens well. And he really has the expertise to take care of simple and complex pain conditions. I trust him completely.

Horrible doctor. Ive had severe chronic pain for 15 years and after first telling me hed get me on a medication program he then said he wanted to taper me off them completely. Ive tried everything under the sun to not have to take opiates but its a crappy fact of life. Then he said he wanted to stop seeing me after three months because he wasnt an addiction specialist and I wasnt tapering fast enough (after saying it takes at least a year); he also continuously pulled up MRIs of people who had worse pain than I did. Dont see this dude, its a total waste of time.

Ive been a patient of Karl Z. for about 3-4 years and hes helped me considerably with my neck pain. I wont go into my personal issues but I will comment on the low ratings that other people have been leaving Karl for lack of empathy and compassion. Karl has ALWAYS been considerate, compassionate, understanding and listened to what I described with my issues. In his previous office and his new one (moved about 2017-ish) he has always spent time and never rushed the appointment. And that is with my personal understanding of the requirements and pressure of a medical office to rush patients and appointments in order to see as many as possible in a day while giving appropriate care. One commenter mentioned being on pain meds for 17 years and was offended that it was brought up in the appointment? Ridiculous... I feel that several of these low reviews are motivated by a perceived bad experience. Dr. Zarse, due to his focus, has probably seen more people addicted to pain meds than he can count and when someone is told that they are or have been taking them for too long (most people have no idea how pain meds even work and how the efficacy tapers off over time and long term effects) they get offended. A few of the bad reviews dont even make sense and are calling him names, they have nothing to do with the quality of care. If you are considering Dr. Zarse and are reading reviews on Google and other sites, read them all and take the bad ones with a grain of salt, read between the lines if you will.

I was a patient for 3+ years. Russell Harmony is Zarses best asset. Tori is great as well. Zarse past judgement on me the day I walked in. And then when my neurostimulator was to be trialed...it was botched...and instead of coming clean and being honest about it....he tried to cover it up. Then when my wife complained...they fired me. I got a letter that we werent a part of the happy group of clients they preferred to work with. I had nothing to do with any of the mistakes that were made and didnt complain...but they fired me anyway. What a waste of my life. I dont a have o lot of time on this earth and they wasted 3+ years of it. And now they wont give me my records. What am I to do now? I need a new doctor or I will lose my job

You never see him at your appointments. He just wants to stick a needle in you and send you on your way. He is in no way personable, or caring of your health. Seems like he cares more about the ice tea he drinks and the music that on in the operating room than you.

Dr. Zarse is an amazing doctor!!!! Not once has he let me sit in pain. He listens and we come up with a game plan together! I have never been to a doctor who cares more about his patients then he does!!!!THANK YOU DR. ZARSE!!!!!!!!

After 20+ years of living with pain from severe arthritis in my neck, I’m finally nearly pain free! I have tried everything over the years...physical therapy, massage, chiropractors, acupuncture. Nothing helped longer than a day or two. But after Dr. Zarse and his team performed a Radiofrequency Ablation on my neck, I can’t believe the difference! I no longer wake up with a headache every morning that lasts all day. That shooting pain along the side of my skull has gone away, and I have more energy than I’ve had in years! I didn’t even know about this treatment until I went to Dr Zarse for help. Thank God I did. I have my life back!

I have seen several doctors for this problem, but Dr Zarse was the first one who didnt poo poo me and tell me the pain was my imagination. He is fabulous and would recommend him highly!!

Excellent Pain doctor. He walks on water. He took my foot pain away with an epidural. The best!
