Dr Zarse and Russell Harmony are amazing and very personable and compassionate. Russell has done everything he can to ensure I remain as pain free as possible, whether it’s through medication or a non invasive procedure. He is always willing to listen to concerns, and never condescending. Been in treatment with them the past two years. Russell Harmony was a fantastic doctor up until yesterday. Been in treatment for so long I expected to be discharged on good terms at least talked to me first but because I missed a Follow call (due to a medical emergency )which was over the phone not in person so they discharged me without even talking to me first. Which left me without any care for my pain. I expected more from this place. Especially after seeing them for so long.

Dr. Jeff Taylor did a super job of creating flexibility in my lower back. Jeff is professional, knowledgeable and skilled in patient care. Trainer Zach did a great job in leading the training component of the therapy. The entire office is friendly and supportive. I give ISSPT Meridian a high 5 !!

I’m really impressed! Not only are the appointment times spot on when they call me back to speak with the doctors or their assistant, the entire staff is very friendly and have great listening skills. They are also very accommodating in the video call follow ups and they are quick to move up an appointment if you also have that flexibility in your schedule. I highly recommend this office. Idaho Spine and Pain has been a Godsend!!! I have had two spinal fusions in the last five years and needed help. Ben Carey is amazing!! One of the things I appreciate so much is that I get to see him at the time of my appointments. I never wait longer than five minutes to be in a room and see him. They are always on time and extremely efficient. That NEVER happens with doctor appointments anywhere! I feel as though they consider my time as valuable as theirs. I had excellent visits at Idaho Spine&Pain. Everyone was very friendly and I never had to wait for treatment. Each appointment was timely and efficient. I didn’t know of this treatment for my back when I went to Idaho Spine&Pain. The procedure was thoroughly explained so I knew what to expect. The treatments worked wonderfully for my back pain. I would highly recommend Idaho Spine&Pain.

I have been seeing Dr. Zarse, and Russell Harmony, for a couple of years. I am so pleased with everything related to my care, and their office. I have always been treated with great respect. I am receiving RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation) treatments approximately every 6-9 months. In Texas, due to my insurance, the treatment was almost 3x more, and although I was offered some assistance with a nose anesthesia - I felt the entire procedure for 6 shots. I was pleasantly surprised here that I rarely feel much of anything. I would highly recommend seeking treatment from Dr. Zarse - Im so glad I did - and Im praying hell be around for a long time.

The staff is excellent at Idaho Spine and Pain. They have been a game changer in my overall back issues and have given me significant relief from chronic pain and discomfort. Two thumbs up.

I had a procedure done, I was in a GREAT DEAL of pain, I was scheduled to come in the next day for yet another procedure. I requested to talk with my np (Erin Welch, who was great), the receptionist said the doctors dont call or talk to patients, yes she actually said that! She said she could schedule at time for me to come in or a conference call. I agreed to the conference call later in the pm. The office manager Tory called to set up the zoom type call, was asking questions of me, what I wanted to talk to my np about, she was SO UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT EMPATHATIC to my pain levels & REFUSED to let me speak with my np! I called back to cancel my next procedure left a message, no one answered. I wasnt going to proceed without having my questions answered. Only to have the horrid pain on both sides of my spine! Ive worked for physicians they DO talk to their patients, physicians follow up on their patients as well! This place canceled any further appointments! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

You wont find a better, professional and helpful team anywhere. They calmed my nerves and helped me to walk again. I cant praise and thank them all enough. Trust me.....you can trust them.

The staff at Idaho Spine and Pain are incredible! They go out of their way to help you any way they can. I was seeing another pain management doctor when I was referred to them for injections in my head to help my headaches because the previous pain management doctor would not do them. I am so happy and fortunate that my neurologist referred me to them. They have changed my life literally. I never have to worry about any pre-authorizations or any other paperwork. Their staff says theyre going to do something they actually do it. Theres no empty promises here. They are on it! I am a complicated case for pain management but they have taken care of me like no one else has. I cannot say enough about them.

I had a lumbar epidural injection done by Dr. Zarse. His team made sure I was comfortable and the procedure was quick and I felt no pain during the injections.All of the staff in the front office and on the phone we’re able to get my insurance authorizations through quickly and they treated me great. I am very grateful my Physician sent me to Idaho Spine and Pain for treatment. I can’t say enough about the quality of care I received.

I am overflowing with gratitude for Ben Carey and Dr. Zarse! After 3.5 months of horrific nerve pain from my neck, radiating through my shoulder and down my arm, so many sleepless nights, battling severe headaches and regularly breaking down into tears, I was like a zombie, barely managing from day to day. I was starting to worry I was going to have to take leave from work because I just couldn’t handle the nightmarish muscle spasms. They were able to pinpoint and treat the problem and it’s not an exaggeration to say that Ben and Dr. Zarse helped give me my life back. They were so knowledgeable and compassionate, and I can’t thank you both enough! I cannot recommend Idaho Spine and Pain enough!

Only cares about money. Both him and his wife double dip on the business--this was not disclosed to me prior to requesting sedation only that it was offered and I could choose to use it or not. I have been told by friends in healthcare business this is a stark violation to not disclose ownership to entities being referred. Same goes for his in house pharmacy.

Dr. Zarse is an absolute pro. Im 41 and had a bulged lumbar disc due to high activity, gym and landscaping. Dr. Zarse helped me with the best non-invasive pathway after getting 3 opinions for Micro-discectomy from spine surgeons (when youre a hammer everything looks like a nail) and went with Dr. Zarse advice instead. One month later I was back to 90% & two months later I was 100% again. One other time after too much gym (because Im not very smart) the muscles in my low back were completely seized up & Dr. Zarse got me in for micro-needling relief in less than 24 hours. Look no further!!

Let me say I HATE to give bad reviews but I feel this is needed. The after care was terrible. I was in severe pain after a basic procedure and was told it was normal time and time again with no help. I literally had to blow up there phones for them to call me back and even then it would just be a receptionist answering telling me to put ice on it..... I’m a patient man I like to think and I was loosing my patience. Finally they said just “go to an urgent care if your pains that bad” I ended up in the ER and was referred to a new institution.Idaho spine and pain had Lack of care and writing all patients off as the same. I WAS IN SEVERE PAIN but was not helped at all by this place. Ben Carey wouldn’t even talk to me unless I made an appointment even if it was right after a procedure. All I needed was communication and help with why I had that severe of pain from a simple procedure but got nothing even close. I will steer all away from this facility.

My spinal stenosis problems started in 2013 with a cervical fusion. That was followed by 4 lumbar surgeries including a major fusion and then another cervical fusion. Though the surgeries were necessary and helped me immensely the degeneration of my spine has left me with a good deal of nerve damage and resulting ongoing pain. The referral to Dr. Zarse and his associates is the best thing that has happened for me. They have done an excellent job of helping me manage the chronic pain without going heavy on the drugs. If you are looking for professional pain management with excellent service and follow up I would highly recommend Idaho Spine and Pain.. I have been seeing them for 4 years now and they have never let me down.

What a horror show. I have a rare neurological syndrome the PA was not familiar with and wouldnt familiarize himself with. He cut me off when I tried to explain it while he insisted on a course of treatment that could have caused extensive and permanent damage. When I questioned his decision his office started playing games with my meds and refusing to return phone calls. St Als has a superlative pain clinic that was very responsive to my concerns and their cafeteria has some of the best food in Boise.Edit. In response to this review I am being sent to collections for $31 I dont have despite the fact my condition is fatal, my insurance company has already paid over 90% of the bill, and the stress this office has caused me has exacerbated my condition.

During a follow-up appointment with Ben Carey, I endured the humiliation of being told I was not a good patient, that I fought the procedure, and that I was a danger to myself and the clinicians. All these thoughts about me were generated while I was UNCONSCIOUS AND HAVING A REACTION TO THE SEDATIVE! Lacking compassion and creativity, Idaho spine and pain declined to try a different sedative, suggested a chiropractor, or maybe PT, and let me go. If you value yourself in any way, please find help for your chronic pain elsewhere. You deserve better.

I have suffered from low back pain for many years. I tried everything but nothing seemed to help alleviate the pain no matter what I tried. I started to lose the ability to do the things in life I enjoyed most. After going to doctor after doctor I was finally referred to Dr. Karl Zarse at Idaho Spine and Pain. I went to see him with little hope of anything being different and feared I would have to live with my chronic pain for the rest of my life. After meeting with Dr. Zarse I realized that he could offer other options. He is a kind doctor who is professional and very skilled in what he does. He is easy to talk to and obviously cares about his patients. Dr. Zarse quickly found my problem and treated me with a procedure that has given my life back the quality I had missed so much. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Zarse and know if I have problems with chronic pain in the future I can go and see him and get the treatment needed. Thank you so much Dr. Zarse! While I didn’t experience Dr Zarse long enough to give a fair review on his clinical expertise, I do trust the Dr that referred me to him. My one star review, which is generous, is earned. It is my experience that this office cares more about making money than they do about the patient. It was apparent and predominant in the 4 visits I experienced. I was willing to put up with it if my pain could be reduced, but in the end, it wasn’t worth it. I have found another route.

I have had 2 appointments with them so far and have been blown away by how caring they are. Back issues are no fun but Mr. Carey, Mr. Harmony, and their medical assistant Brittany have all be so sweet and compassionate keep up the good work Idaho Pain and Spine!

When I first went to Idaho Spine and Pain I had reservations about it/how they were going to help me. I was dealing with sciatic issues that were causing numbness and pain all throughout my leg and foot; it was getting to the point I could hardly walk.The doctors there listen to your needs and genuinely want to help feel better. Ive seen them a few times now; and while Im still in the process of recovery, Ive felt better after each visit and been able to avoid surgery. Strongly recommend! :)

I had horrible nerve pain After a my foot surgery.... I was referred to Idaho spine and Pain have been deeply impressed with the staff and results. It was a two month process to get my chronic nerve pain down with shots in the back and a variety of medication. The docs and staff REALLY listened to anything I discussed with them. I put on a shoe and sock Today for the first time since September.Please take it from someone who spend a couple days a week there for 2 months. The Doctor was specially helpful getting me off the opioids after the appropriate time. Which was one of the most important things to me.Class act operation.

I have had Russell Harmony taking care of me for the past 7 years. He is one of the kindest man I have ever met. He always takes the time while I explain my issues. He always asks about my family and mentions things like “How was the Greek Wedding I went to in California”? I have been a patient here for over a year now. Dr. Zarse and Harmony are 2 extreamly compassionate men. I am so greatful to the anesthesiologist who recomended I have my PCP switch me over to their office to help my get my pain under control. Dr. Zarse put all his efforts into finding answers and providing me with detailed information on ways to manage my conditions. When most doctors I had been seeing were quick to hand me meds and shuffle me out the door these guys were willing to try and find solutions. While medications may still be required at the moment at least I know I have a team of Doctors that are doing everything they can to keep them low and solve the issue vs mask it. I went to Idaho Spine and pain about 8 months ago with pain in my neck and upper back and arm that was so bad I could hardly function. I had an RFA on both sides of my neck and the result was almost miraculous, It took awhile fr the full effect with improvement almost everyday. I recommend this procedure to anyone seeking a non surgical alternative to spine, neck, back pain. Dr Zarse , NP Harmony, and the staff are most efficiant and pleasant. I have had the pleasure to work with Dr. Zarse for the last 10 months. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional and enjoys teaching about his procedures and educating his patients on treatment options. His patients all express great appreciation for treatment and have some great relief from their pain. If one is having pain, I would highly recommend a patient going to be seen at his practice before seeking more invasive treatments.

If I could it would be NO stars. I waited for several weeks to get into to see Dr. Zarse., which a Dr. I trust, suggested I go to this clinic. Upon arrival I was given a packet of papers to fill out (should have mailed prior to appointment in my opinion). This took at least 20 minutes to complete. I even brought spreadsheets with my medications and medical history, which I saw them throw away.When Dr. Zarse finally saw me, he spent less that FIVE minutes with me and said he would send prescriptions to my pharmacy. He didnt go over my history, meds, etc. I thought this quite unprofessional and lacking regarding my health issues past and present.After TWO days, the prescriptions were finally sent to the pharmacy. Upon receiving the meds, I read the precautions and discovered these meds were not to be used with existing medical conditions - thyroid disease and kidney problems.I called and explained to receptionist and she spoke to a nurse? and was told it was okay to take. Now how could I trust this? I informed them I would NEVER return to that office and wanted all contracts (yes, you have to sign a contract) null and void. I went in about two weeks later to be sure the contract was indeed null and void. It was, however, I was informed I had an appointment coming up which I did not schedule. They are determined to make money off of willing patients. To top it off, this man had the gall to charge $550 for a five minute visit and didnt even touch me.DO NOT GO THERE! Just a money hungry practice as far as I am concerned. I have informed the physician who sent me.

I have been a pain patient, unfortunately, for 15 years. I’ve listened to doctors telling me that I needed surgery that ultimately led to my pain problems getting worse. DON’T scehule back surgery before visiting Idaho Pine & Pain.The people from the front desk to the procedure specialists all are here to help.Pain management is not an easy road to navigate. Dr. Zarse and his amazing NP Russ Harmony are there every step of the way.

I was discharged for missing an appt and having to meet my job requirements. I was told that I was a no show on multiple appointments when that was not correct. They moved the office in 2017 and I missed the very 1st appt due to poor directions, the 2nd appt I called and told them I am in the hospital and cant make the appointment due to surgery. The 3rd time my nieces were abused and I had to talk to a detective and called and spoke to Amber she understood but then held that appt against me. If you are the perfect person that life doesnt require you to change your appt from time to time then this is the office for you. The reason i am giving a poor review as this Doctor had me on medicine to help with my pain. He nor his office staff would advice what to do with the medicine. One medicine is a nerve blocker and you cant just stop taking it but the office again would not pick up the phone when I called nor return my phone call to answer the question. When I called they would put me into voice mail right away. Discharge me fine or fire me; but at least return a phone call if you have your patient on meds and advice what to do... poor professionalism! You are in a business of taking care of patients you did not do that! I guess when you have your own practice you can do what ever you would like to do to people and treat them poorly. Dont go to this office unless you are wanting to be judged!

Dr Zarse is very empathetic & professional and his staff is very much the same. It is rare to have a doctor now a days that has bedside manors and cares very much for his patients. He truly wants to find the root cause, then give every possible treatment available to correct the issue. I was skeptical at first because many doctors out there just herd you through their office without much care or concern but Dr Zarse is very much not that type of doctor. His Staff always makes it possible to rearrange appointments and when they are not available they return phone calls within a realistic time.

I am pain free - the pros at IS&P under promised and over delivered. Daily neck pain had reached the point where I was self medicating with ibuprofen with little relief, and was contemplating prescription medicine. The stress from the pain was effecting my mood and my life and I was unable to maintain my active lifestyle. I assumed that like many friends, family and coworkers, surgery would be my ultimate fate. Dr. Zarse and his team assured me there was another way, explained in detail the treatment and range of outcomes. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room, nor at any point in the process. The professionalism displayed by every member of this team and the universal caring and honest approach put me at ease and gave me a sense of confidence that I was in great hands. Indeed I was. After just one appointment, he researched, staffed with colleagues and came up with a treatment plan that was in line with immediate relief as well as long term care. I am so grateful for his support and medical care over the last 6 months.
