My wife Susie had gone through a spinal fusion procedure 4 years ago, soabout 1 year ago, when she began experiencing the same type of pain and discomfort close to the location of the of the first surgery, we knew that another disc was probably herniated. At first we went to a Pain Specialist to try to avoid another surgical fusion procedure, but unfortunately, several series of steroid injections only provided progressively shorter and shorter periods of relief. We then went to see Dr. Manning, whom, after ordering MRI and CT scans, recommended fusion surgery for the herniated disc. The procedure was successful, and Susies recovery has been extremely fast. She was able to get up and walk without pain after only a few weeks and is already starting physical therapy to regain muscle strength and flexibility.Dr. Manning, his Physician Assistants David and Jeff, and his entire team are professional, courteous, respond quickly to telephone calls and always willing to take time to answer questions and requests.

As of today, I am 47 days post op following a 5 level fusion by Dr. Manning (S-1 - L-4). I am still recovering from the procedure, but 500% better than when I first met with Dr. Manning & his excellent PA-Cs David & Jeff prior to a May 18th surgery. For the past 4.5 yrs Ive fought severe sciatic pain down my rt leg right to my toe. I was ground down to barely walking pre-surgery. Since waking up in recovery, Ive had zero pain in my rt leg. Awesome team, great surgeon!UPDATE: SEPT 12th. Almost 4 months post surgery & just cut my first load of firewood to heat my shop this winter. I see a lot of less than great reviews on Dr. Manning & understand everyone has their own expectations of resolving your own unique problem. I can only validate my own experience & results. I know only a few days over 4 months ago (& having had a previous lumbar surgery by an excellent well known & respected neurosurgeon last Nov) i could not hardly even walk. My entire lumbar column was fried both vertically & horizontally. Dr. Manning & his 2 PA-Cs (David & Jeff - both of which are very knowledgeable) reviewed my scans after being referred to him by the neurosurgeon from the Nov surgery. We made an appt to discuss my problems & Dr. Manning proposed a 5 level fusion from S-1 to L-4 to stabilize my lumbar column & decompress the areas where nerve roots were getting pinched to relieve my pain so I could walk again & return to my previous active lifestyle. Im no spring chicken hitting 65 next month, but the surgery conducted by Dr. Manning went great. Ive followed his, David & Jeffs recommendation for both activity & wearing a spine fusion stimulator & i am already doing more than I could do for the past 4+ yrs as my lumbar degenerated & activity dropped off due to severe pain down my rt leg. No, he doesnt have time for a lot of fuzzy discussion & you need to research your own problems, understand enough anatomy to be able to quickly visualize his recommended resolution to your problem, then make a decision. The guy IS a Navy Seal, you dont spend a lot of extra time explaining things that should already be known...my opinion anyway. What I do know as fact is he took on a significantly hosed up lumbar column parked on me, aligned & lifted each vertebra to absolutely resolve my problem with excruciating pain that had me ground down to setting watching wood burn last winter instead of out helping out the gravel miners & ranchers in our valley along the river. I would trust him in a heartbeat to do any other procedure required on my spine or noggin, but am positive already the lumbar fusion will never be an issue again. Hes an awesome neurosurgeon.

I went to Dr. Manning a year ago unable to sit for any amount of time, unable to lay down and unable to walk at times. I am an avid golfer and could no longer play golf. The doctor was the first one in that was able to diagnose the actual cause of my pain, He fused 3 vertebraes and completely fixed my back problem. He gave me my life back and I am eternally grateful. I am now playing golf at a high level (shot 69 earlier this year) and I can participate in any activity that I want to participate in. Thank You Doctor Mannng I tell everyone about what you did for me,Darryl OscarsThat review was from my husband. This one is from me.I am so grateful to Dr. Manning and his PA David for everything they did for my husband Darryl. The fusion surgery he performed was life changing for him. The whole experience with Dr. Manning and his staff was fantastic. We are eternally grateful!!

Dr Manning is a rock star❤️ I knew I was in great hands from the minute I met him. Very smart and thorough. He explained everything very clearly and we made a plan. 4 days before surgery, blue cross denied my surgery. I was sick and depressed as I had no other pain management as I’d tried everything over the years. Step in Dr Amazing. He went to bat for me and had my surgery approved. I am forever grateful to you and your wonderful staff.Dawne Meckel
