Freddy who I believe was the dental assistant was amazing! I had a little guy who was needing a cavity filled. He was so nervous! Freddy went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. He explained in detail what was going to happen, answered questions, then continued to encourage him through out the process. Our dentist was great too! The dental hygienist may have not been aware that our little guy was so nervous but checking in and talking through the process would have been helpful. Copay was $20.00 and insurance was billed $420 ( around there) I’d say that was a sweet deal!

Patients are not the number one priority of Willamette dental! The money is! I make a monthly payment and pay for their member insurance monthly and Im not late and not behind but they still hound me every time I talk to anybody in the financial office the dentist office or at the front counter at an appointment. The actual dentist that I see there is great.

The staff is very friendly, but the process if you have a situation that needs to be handled quickly is lacking. I had 2 doctors appointments(with 2 different doctors) over 2 weeks of pain to only get referred to a specialist (in there office) that I have to book another appointment with, all dealing with the pain. I just talked with the office to book that appointment and they cant get me in to him for more than 3 weeks. As a business owner that offers this to all my employees, I will be pulling our company out of this program.

The customer service at WD sucks! The phone triage system is unacceptable. My clinic in Meridian called me and left a message. When I try to return the call, I have to wait 15 min. for an operator to answer my call and then they call my office and no one is available to take my call. This results in 20 min of wasted time! Extremely inefficient system!

Visited on 9/2 for an emergency abcess. They did x rays & the whole nine yards to look at it only for them to tell me they cant do it, will need to see an oral surgeon. Said theyd call me back as soon as they know more. I finally get the call back almost a week later and their response is November 8th when I was told September 20th. The response from the lady was that they didnt have any openings in September and October the surgeon was on vacation. I responded with Well the reason they didnt want to do it Thursday was because my mouth wouldnt open wide enough and felt safer with an oral surgeon. It was also my understanding abcess are treated as an emergency. She stated that oral surgeon doesnt do emergencies.Funny enough I need to have benefits for my company this week, and Im jumping off the Williamette group after 1 appointment. Wouldnt recommend them. It looks good on paper, not great in practice.

I have been to their Boise office before, but this was my first time at the Meridian office. From the moment I walked in the door, I had a great experience. Everyone was very nice, the office is clean and they take appropriate measures for Covid. I went in as an emergency so was very anxiety ridden, in pain and not knowing what I could afford at the moment. Britney, my dental assistant, went above and beyond by getting me a payment plan worked out and Dr.Armstrong was fantastic! He answered my questions and made me feel at ease during my procedure. It has been 5 days and it is healing up very nicely. I highly recommend this office and especially the team of Dr. Armstrong and Britney!!!

I do NOT like to go to the dentist but, this place is amazing! They made me feel safe, comfortable and they treat you like youre a good friend. Kevin in Meridian, Idaho, is the guy who gave me the shots to numb my mouth, was by far the best at what he does! He was amazing! I hardly even felt the shots! He has a great personality and answered every single one of my questions. He knew I was very nervous and he calmed me down and helped me thru it. The Dentist I see is also great!! The rest of my family agree with me Willamette Dental Group are the best!!! Thank you! Brenda W.

I chose Willamette Dental because, I thought it would be cheaper to have braces placed on my daughter through them. I am a full time student, and a single mother, and only work part time. Braces are cosmetic, but my daughter was very self conscious about it. So I decided to go with Flex Payment. In the long run it probably came out to be about the same price as paying out of pocket or more compared to another orthodontic . Because, I had to drive from Nampa to Meridian. Traffic is crazy, they never have appointments available that are convenient for one. Two, you need a referral to see and orthodontics, 3rd, you have to pay a co-pay each time you go in. It just seemed that they would never work around you. When I had braces, my ortho would set up a time and if I ever needed to reschedule they would get me right in. No penalty fees, no co-pays, always willing to work with the patient and certainly not have to go 2 or 3 months out for an appointment. Willamette Group was so strict on everything, they took forever to give me the referral, so I had to pay for an extra year of co-payments and insurance. I look back and think that I should of just stayed with someone local, and payed out of pocket. it would have saved me gas money, co-pays and the hassle of working with them. I would never recommend this group to anyone. They also recommend cleanings once a year, plus a co-pay to have it done. Now I am out 2 years plus, she should have had her braces taken off a few months ago. I understand COVID hit, but the rescheduling was a huge hassel. I work In the medical field and that is just not how we treat our patients here. For the new year, I plan to go elsewhere. Well I was hoping I would. I just called to schedule for her I think last appointment and they want to go out till Feb 2021. With that being said I would have to renew my dental insurance with them for another full year. This is unbelievable. Especially when I told them that my insurance would be ending in December.

Had the worst experience there this morning. My 7 year old daughter was there for a filling and already has anxiety surrounding shots and dental work. I discussed this with them when I scheduled the appointment and they were planning on using Nitrous Oxide to help calm her. Dr. Brimhall was clearly bothered by either having to work on a child or work at all today because the way he chose to handle a child is insane. I worked in a dental office for 6 years as both an assistant and an Office Manager and never in my life have I worked in an office that a dentist thought it was appropriate to try and scare a child into their appointment. He made it clear to my daughter that he thought the nitrous would make things take longer and much more difficult for her, she was nervous about that but moved on. He then proceeded to tell her she would need a shot which is usually not mentioned to young children just because it make most kids nervous. When he told her this she began to get very nervous and cry and instead of doing anything to calm her, he felt it was appropriate to tell her she came here for a reason and she has to get a shot. He then continued to ask if she wants it to just keep hurting because its going to hurt really bad and tells her to stop being emotional because this is what shes here to do. After scaring her wasnt going the way he desired he sat her up and said he would let her talk to me about if she was going to have the appointment or not. He was clearly irritated that he could not scare her into obeying and was hoping I would back him up? Thats not happening. I will make sure my child listens and gets things done to the best of my ability but he chose to act the way he did and create a massive issue where one didnt need to be. In no way does my child have to ok with someone scaring her into submission.Im furious. Not because she needed a shot or because her being nervous was an inconvenience to them, because she did need a shot and Im sure it was inconvenient to them that she was so nervous. Im upset because there are so many more ways this could have been handled to EASE my childs fears of the dentist instead of perpetuate them (which we have been working on doing since the cavities were diagnosed but that all went out the window because he couldnt be bothered to be human). He, as a grown adult, tried to scare her into complying and that is absolutely asinine to me. None of the dentists I have ever worked with did that and they worked with plenty of children with anxiety about the dentist, because many children do. I am told there are other dentists there that are great with children, and they may be, I dont know. What I do know is the Dr. Brimhall is HORRIBLE with children. I would encourage you to be cautious and choose another dentist if you have children or anxieties in any way about the dentist.

Had a horrible experience with their appointment center this morning!! What a joke..I have been trying to reach them all morning since 7. According to their vm their supposed to be open by 7. I was needing to confirm an appointment time and let them know I was running late, but there was no way to do so!! Its now 7:30 and their is still no way to contact the appointment center. If you have a choice youre better off choosing a different dental provider. This one is so very unprofessional!!!

I have always had major anxiety about the dentist. Some bad childhood experiences made me so afraid to go. I hadnt been to a dentist in 5 years before going to Willamette. I was so scared because the last dentist I saw told me I would have to have some teeth extracted. At this office they try very hard to have you keep all tour teeth. From the x-rays, cleaning, fillings, provisional crown and to the wisdom tooth that was pulled yesterday, every person I came in contact with or worked on my teeth were amazing. They even fixed a chip on one of my front teeth that i didnt even ask for, they just suggested it because it was covered. No pain. They are so understanding about my anxiousness and work with me on scheduling. I am moving out of state and I am so sad because I actually am not afraid of going to see anyone there. I love Willamette and I would recommend them to anyone!

I switched to Willamette Dental because of their orthodontia coverage for my daughter who needs braces. However, I should have read the fine print because even though the out of pocket is 2000,00 for braces, this place nickle and dimes us to death at every appointment. On top of that, the customer service from the front desk staff in Meridian is terrible. They do not even bother to say hello before asking for money. The dental and orthodontia care is satisfactory, but I cant wait until my daughter is done with her braces so we can go back to our old dental plan and our old dentist.

Very understanding about my anxiety, they listened to me, they were patient, they got me right in, they even did the filling the day I came in for new patient exam and cleaning so I did not have to come back. Also they helped educate me on gum and tooth care without making me feel like I was an idiot. They sonic cleaned my teeth and it was mildly uncomfortable, nothing like the painful cleanings if the past, I think dentistry has entered the 21st century! Very pleased with my experience.

I just received an automated message about it being time for a checkup. This is the first time I have heard from them in over a year since I cancelled my insurance. To be honest I was very disappointed by their service. Their front desk employees were cold and avoidant. In regards to the coverage, I choose one of the highest levels of coverage and ended up paying extremely high co-pays. They have the practice of splitting up filling procedures to multiple visits and charging extra office visits each time And the use of silver fillings is rarely used in dentistry anymore and not a valid alternative to their overpriced charges for basic fillings. Also I was told by my dentist that across the board it was very rare that implants are included in dental packages and are strictly cosmetic procedures. Not accurate information from my research of other companies. The very first company I spoke with contradicted that right away. That is my feedback on my experience and I hope they can openly accept the criticism and incorporate some of those suggestions to their business practices. To their credit, there were some polite interactions with some of the staff on individual levels.

Cost of Willamette Dental Insurance is so expensive ($100/month) and still have to pay $$$ every time I come in, for very poor service. I have had so many bad experience from waiting an 1 hour 1/2 for a cleaning, Waiting 20 mins for the Dentist to check me after a cleaning, cant make appts. very far in advance, and 1/2 hour wait time for last cleaning appts for my kids. Cant call the office directly to talk with a secretary - always have to talk through the 1-800 number. If your running late, dont bother to try to call to let them know. I am told I only need to be seen once a year and X-rays every two years and for the price I am paying it should be cleanings every 3 months. We are also paying way to much for the Orthodontics - add up the up front $$, money I pay every single time we come, time we wait, gas, and stress of driving 40 mins of traffic makes the worst idea for braces. Cant wait to cancel this dental insurance and go back to $25 a month for my whole family (5) to get cleaned every six months, X-rays yearly, no fees to pay at every appt., no wait time, no traffic, and nicer staff.

I recommend this group, especially if you DISLIKE or even HATE the dentist office.

I used Willammette Dental in Meridian for two years. I have always been prone to cavities despite flossing daily. However while with them I was always told that my teeth did not need any fillings. On my last appointment with them eight months ago I was told that I only needed a little prescription toothpaste for a spot that was demineralizing and no other problems. I had to switch dentists because of a job change and therefore insurance change. I now use a dentist who is extremely highly rated and I trust—I can find not one bad review anywhere. My first appointment for cleaning last month showed I needed five fillings (some new decay and some filling repair) and a crown. Now yesterday with further exploration of a filling I will need a root canal and a crown in another place. Imagine my shock when going from “no problems” to extensive work of about 2K. Did these problems develop in eight months? Highly doubtful. My new dentist confirmed my suspicions and also what I have heard once before. Willammette Dental is incentivized to do the minimum because they don’t get paid for it. They won’t do anything unless it hurts or is sensitive. I mentioned this to my mom about other reviewers stating that fillings fell out within a few months and my mom looked at her fillings done there within the last year and noticed one of them also had fallen already. Worst of all, I chose a lower coverage plan for this year based on the likely incorrect diagnosis of my last check-up at Willammette. I am a bit stressed by this and very disappointed.

By far the worst dentist Ive ever seen. If you get Armstrong go somewhere else. I switched to Willamette dental in Boise and she was a pervious employee at the meridian office and said the same thing. If he cared has much about his patients has he does the young ladys at the counter he might actually be OK. But he doesnt, Ive wasted more money at this dentist then anywhere in my life.-- Just wanted to add I just had my new dentist tell me it was one of the worst fitting partials hes seen. Just paid another 400 for a new one and it actually feels and looks right. Also had a filling redone at no cost! (new dentist said it should of been done so much better) and it just looked horrible especially for being on one of my front teeth. Now I dont have a big gap there! Ive never givin a bad review or any review on a business but all the Money and discomfort I went through makes me so mad I feel like I had to let people know.

Every single filling they did came out poorly, one isn’t tall enough, one is to wide which cut my tounge up up for two months and made it hard to talk. One filling hurts more now (going on 8 months) than it did before, and the last towards the front of my mouth a specifically asked for porcelain they still did silver. The day of an appointment I took off from work early, the receptionist told me I had the wrong day, it wasn’t for another week. Turns out I had the right day, they had the wrong day, and they billed me for the cancellation!!! Can you believe that! Ridiculous! Last year was the worst year of dental care in my life. Considering I spent 13 years in two different branches dealing with military dental, that is saying a lot.

DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST. I went to this dentist because this is what insurance I elected for. They told me I had 8 cavities and that the stains on the front of my teeth (which I got from my braces in high school) were messed up fillings that they needed to fix. They rushed me to get in as soon as possible and something didnt seem right so I went to a dentist on base and a different dentist in town to get two separate opinions and I have ZERO CAVITIES. This place is a rip off trying to do unecessary procedures to get money out of people. Im just glad I was smart enough to get more opinions before following through. Needless to say I changed my insurance solely so that these people couldnt try to screw me over again.
