Went to Dr DeCastecker for first visit due do insurance EPO Network not including my long-time dentist. Received cleaning and bitewing X-rays and was told I needed 2 teeth pulled, 2 resin composites and a crown. I thought that was a little strange since I’d been to my old dentist 6-months ago and was not told about needing a crown or resin composites and he said the 2 molars would eventually need to come out, but there was no rush. I asked for a copy of the X-rays so I could get a second opinion and was told that due to computer issues, my X-rays no longer existed. So I was forced into getting another set of bitewing X-rays. I asked my old dentist if my teeth had deteriorated this much in the six months since I’d seen him. He said no, there was no change and he couldn’t understand the need for 2 resin composites or crown. The 2 molars that we had been keeping an eye on over the years, had not changed.

I cannot say enough about the Doc! She is amazing and cares genuinely for her clients. I appreciate her, and her staff. They are real Class Acts. Highly recommend. Much love and respect Doc, and the girls.

So, I want to start by saying miscommunication may be the result, but even so, NO attempt to resolve was made...So I went here over a year ago to get the usual, teeth cleaning/ X-rays/ etc which went really well! So I thought maybe I will get the Invisalign treatment here as well so I asked about it and the process started off pretty easy... but things started going down hill after talking about other options with Invisalign...After getting the initial estimate, I felt it was kinda steep and wanted to do a different option. We started exploring a second version of Invisalign, and I scheduled my first appointment for the process. When I showed up the first time, nothing had arrived and I was told they held off since they “weren’t sure what I wanted to do...”A little baffled by this news, I asked them to please submit the request again and let’s try again...So at the second attempt 2 weeks later, not only had they NOT placed the order, but they “thought I had canceled my appointment...”Needless to say I decided to go elsewhere since they did not seem interested in helping me get my teeth straightened...

I started taking the kids here recently and I have to say they are absolutely incredible. They are all very sweet, very caring, and really take their time to make sure there is a level of comfort throughout. I highly recommend them! In fact, I too have scheduled an appointment now, and Im admittedly a slacker when it comes to getting in to a dentist.

After dental work that has left me in pain for seven months, I spent quite a bit of time researching dentists looking for a private practice where the dentist was the one who did both the drilling and filling of cavities, as that no longer seems to be the norm. Not only does Dr. DeCastecker’s practice fit that bill, but she is also the most gentle dentist I have ever come across. I did not feel the needle go into my jaw when administering the Novocaine whatsoever, and the tooth she repaired feels more like a real tooth than my actual teeth. The previous mentioned dental work directly below it feels like a bowl carved out, with ridges poking upwards and sitting too high in the tooth. However, Dr. DeCastecker took the time to carve out what feels like natural ridges in the tooth in addition to a seamless fit that needed no adjusting.I will recommend her and her practice, all of her employees have been exceptional, until the cows come home. If you have had bad dental work, you know the nightmare of finding a good dentist and being brave enough to let anyone else touch your teeth. Dr. DeCastecker is the perfect candidate to ensure you go back for the necessary treatment you need. If They cater to cowards like me, they’ll definitely be able to handle any dental fears you have.

I’ve never had a dentist clean my teeth before, it was always a hygienist.. Dr. deCastecker did a very thorough job and made my teeth pearly white again🤗

Went in for a routine cleaning and visit- my first time there. Although the dentist is very nice, I had two fillings done and I could feel the drilling. Never had so much anxiety at the dentist before. Ended up needing a root canal from the endodontist who was recommended. He couldn’t t complete it and my tooth had to be pulled. Now several months later, the other tooth with the filling is bothering me. I wish I never got the fillings done. I am way too young to be losing teeth. Was highly disappointed with my visit and now the results from it. I should have paid out of pocket and saw a dentist my friend recommended instead of going with a dentist on my insurance plan. At the end of the day I have spent way more and endured some awful pain.

I am posting on my boyfriends account. My name is Kristen and I recently went to this dentist office for the first time moving back to the area. I’ve only had 2 cavities in my lifetime. I was told I have significant receding gums, and 8-10 cavities that needed to be filled. When getting a second opinion I was explained by another dentist that just because there is decay does not mean the cavity needs to be filled. It can be watched closely and may not advance into the dentin with good oral hygiene. I was told only 3 were through the enamel. I was also told my gums were fine. It’s a shame that some people just want to make more money.

Professional, compassionate, efficient, excellent staff, lovely office, cant say enough about this practice. I returned to this provider after trying another dentist when I moved further away. I highly recommend Dr. DeCastecker.

Initially thought everyone was great and nice, however, upon getting a root canal I felt every single poke and prod! They wouldn’t believe that the Novocaine was not working and that I could feel every thing and proceeded to continue the procedure for another half hour -45 minutes while I was having a panic attack and in extreme pain! Finally she stopped and her assistant got an attitude with me blaming “anxiety” and still insisting that I could not feel it. At the end she finally realized the medicine did not work. Horrible experience, very traumatic! Not to mention one time she said she was going to work on one tooth for x amount of dollars And actually did two Teeth doubling the price without my mothers consent ( I was only 15 at the time). Will never go back, do not believe she should be working on people!

I moved from Chardon to Mentor and needed to find a dentist close by and am SO THANKFUL I found them. I was used to smaller practices with more personal service and it was hard to find in mentor but this office was perfect. The receptionist is kind and thoughtful just like the Dr. And Hygienist. I had a filling done and it was the smoothest filling Ive ever had. I barely felt the injection and the Dr. Even had a prop for me to use to hold my mouth open comfortably to avoid irritating my tmj issues. I will be going back for all regular cleanings and am referring my fiance to go here as well.
