Would never recommend this place. The guy I spoke with was extremely nice from initial contact. However, we planned a baby shower from out of town and rented the community center. I was told if we didn’t make it from Florida to Marietta on time we could pick the key up once we arrived. The key was NOT available upon arrival. They held the key until the morning of the event. While speaking with her about the key, the woman (whom I’d never spoken to until the day before the event) was very rude stating she didn’t mind leaving the key but the place needed to be left how she’d left it after our event. I felt chastised without ever meeting this lady and if it had not been the day before my event would have found somewhere else to have my baby shower. We just received a call from her stating she would be keeping our $250 deposit due to something being hung by the windows with tacks, which I honestly understood keeping a percentage but $250??? When my husband and I left after cleaning I stated that I felt she was going to find a reason to keep the entire deposit anyway just because of how rude she was on the phone with me. I didn’t even argue or go back and forth with her because for one you don’t win playing dirty, and I didn’t decorate and had no idea what had been done. It seemed like she wanted me to be upset about keeping the deposit however me keeping my composure will bless me in the long run. I would be very cautious if considering reserving this space.

Be careful! If you’re renting this community center for an event make sure you document everything, take pictures, and request that they walk through and sign off at the end of your event.I did two of the three things suggested above and they still kept my deposit. When I requested an invoice for said “damages” they refused and only verbally provided this information.Other than that, it was a great place to have an event -perfect location & it was the right size.

We can to the community center for a baby shower. The place was a nice size to hold enough people and also moving room. The parking area is small and they are doing construction nearby which makes it harder to se the place. Other than that I would recommend it for an event.

Small, sad place. There is very little to offer here other than a small square room with chairs and tables. Although bathrooms are available there arent many events worth hosting here as it is dilapidated and quite old. The sign outside says it was erected in 1991 and it very clear by the mundane and deteriorating appearance of the building. Not to mention it is adjacent to a vacant school.

Here for a Girl Scouts Father Daughter dance. Okay place, nothing really to add. Good little hall to tent out.

Our organization has utilized this facility several times over the past 2 years and each time we have encountered a variety of problems. Past issues have included not having all of the rooms unlocked and available and not having the sound system set up and ready for our event (even though this was part of the contract and paid for). For our most recent event, we arrived to find that the parking is now severally limited and after the event were told that we would not be getting our $250 security deposit returned due to the damages that we had caused - which turned out to be a very minor bit of tape residue on the floor. We offered to come rectify the situation (literally wouldnt taken a few mins of time) but this was declined.

Was very nice to spend the AFS holiday party there. The room is big and can fit up to 150 people.

No staff , no help from owners or workers and you must manage entire area yourself or risk losing your deposit over simple things like not carrying out the garbage all the way to the end of their small and cramped parking lot.
