Some people were great ... Some are lazy and dont take care of residents very well... Residents will be in the middle of the hall passed out in their wheelchairs and staff doesnt do a thing but leave them there for extended periods of time. I tried to give yall a chance and you proved why your rating is a 2 out of 5... Its all about money there no care for residents. I would never ever ever put a family member there!! I hope that someone steps in for the residents sake. I worry about those residents and hope for their sake things get better.

Worked here for 4 years. Changed administration frequently. State reports are located in the front of every faculty, public is allowed access to see state findings and reportings of any nursing home. I would highly recommend reading these reports.

If Midwest Health Care hasnt gotten rid of Stoneybrooks Assisted Living inept LPN Jennifer Spriggs or the Director of Assisted Living Mary Jo Berg then I wouldnt trust the safety or the accurate reporting on the charts of the residents to the family or the authorities that safeguard resident rights ....I would go to another facility or keep my family member at home. Mary Jo Berg and Jennifer Spriggs thought up the devious plan that to keep their census high on the amount of residents they kept in Assisted Living they would allow Alzheimer residents in the facility and simply charge the residents family &/or Medicaid more money, despite the fact that those dementia residents were combative and attacking other non dementia residents and smearing feces in other residents rooms and in the common areas. The limited amount of staff at the assisted living, who get paid less, are forced to keep track of the whereabouts of wandering dementia residents who belong at a certified Alzheimer unit, which Stoneybrook doesnt have one at all, and these staff are still expected to do the cleaning, serve the meals, do the laundry and answer calls to other resident rooms. Staff would often lose track of the whereabouts of the Alzheimer residents when they were outside on their smoking and iPhone checking breaks and the non dementia residents were left to fend for themselves. Those residents who would protect themselves against a dementia resident were threatened with police action by staff or administration even though administration wouldnt have risked the police seeing what was really going on. A few mistreated residents moved to Meadowlark. Even though Midwest Health care had to fire nearly all previous Assisted Living Directors since it opened, no one from the branch office came in to investigate the conduct of their administrative staff. Alzheimer combativeness to other WASNT charted by the RCC (Resident Care Coordinator) Jennifer Spriggs because charting this abuse would fall back on her and could be used in court against the facility. Decent staff were written off the schedule or discredited and dismissed in other ways that would conceal the actual incidents not brought to the attention of the State Inspectors. This facility is not worth the money or the aggravation.
