Absolutely one of the greatest schools I have been in for esthetics. Staff is warm and welcoming and are so understanding and will do anything to help a student to become their best.

My daughter was a student here, there were only 2 in her class and the teacher failed to keep them current with their syllabus. The other student withdrew, leaving just her. She was left to be a guinea pig for the day students to practice on and continued to fall further behind on the syllabus (as were the day students). She opted to withdraw as well and she was charged a $75 fee! It was their fault she was withdrawing! They also have terrible communication and dont return phone calls or emails. I would recommend another shorter and less expensive program. The facility also needs an update!!!

Come here as a customer to get a massage and facial from the students. Everyone is so friendly and the students have always done such a great job and are very professional.

I went to this school when it was School of Nail Design about 14 years ago. It was the BEST decision that I ever made! I was looking for a nails only course with flexible hours as a Mom & this was it. It took 9 months to complete at two nights a week & Saturdays & I had the best time. (And we had to clean too, but thats what you do in a salon every night because its sanitary) As a bonus, I made some amazing friends too, some that I have kept in touch with over the years. I felt that I learned way more about nails than I wouldve had I taken a cosmo course. I had worked in three salons and am proud to say that I have been the co-owner of a salon in Derry for 6 years. I LOVE my job & my clients (friends) of 10+ years! I cant say enough about it, it really doesnt feel like work to me! If you are thinking of being a nail tech, this school is the way to go!

I was a student at laird institute of spa therapy and i feel very sad about all . The classrooms were a joke. The students were teaching themselves, and unfortunately the students looked like they had no idea what they were doing. I cant even believe she ask for $8000.00 . What!! This school isnt worth $14 on a no interest loan. Besides, you have to buy your own supplies(after you pay all this money). To be honest, I really feel bad for the students training there . I would run the other way. This school is ran down and appears very dysfunctional. If you are considering going to this school as a student, DONT. I am currently a student and feel totally SCAMMED !!! Angie is extremely kind, but she does not have the experience to be an instructor. BrigidI dont even going to let you know about, a esthetics instructor to do nails? First they promise things that do not comply: after all you have to clean the whole school as a maid because even that person dont want to pay a cleanup. Tables and chairs for the pedicures are of poor quality .

I graduated about 3 weeks ago from the laird institute of spa therapy and I must say it is truly a wonderful school in every aspect from the establishment to the staff and owners! I learned many life long skills to make me successful. They offer hands on demonstrations of the services you will need to learn for your career, as well as a theory class and chapter reviews for your whole book! If you want to feel like you are 100% sure of your self knowing how everything in either spa nails or esthetics is properly preformed I highly recommend you enroll in the laird institute...go laird ; feel prepared -Amber rand

First of all, the owners are very nice and most of the staff is pretty friendly... The only complaint is the lighting sucks. Sitting under those flourescent lights for 8-13 hours a day is painful. pretty hypocritical for and esthetics school. they use the excuse that it is to prepare us for the real world. Just what real world are they referring to? This IS the real world. And the reality is that for $10,000 smackaroos one would hope for a decent learning environment. The place is very shabby and run down and in need of a decent makeover. The other thing is that they only teach you enough to pass the state board. There is absolutely no creative room to develop a passion. I found the environment stifling to my creativity because the teachers hover over you all day long and that made it nerve wracking for me to try new makeup techniques and get into my creative flow. One of the older teachers I found to be mean and arrogant at times. Luckily their best teacher, Andrea, was my main teacher. They treat you like youre already at the job. As one who is used to a college level quality education, I find it insulting to be held to silly rules and treated to and spoken to like a child. I honestly feel that the school has a lot of potential, and as much as I love the staff, there are some things that this program lacks and there is always room for improvement. They really need to stay informed on the latest creative trends and philosophies in the industry and inspire their students to do more than just learn enough to pass the state board.
