Best shop in town. Hands down the best haircut(s) I’ve ever had. I’ve been going to Brian since right after he opened on Cotton Ave location years ago. I don’t even work downtown anymore but I drive down there for my cut. Custom hair products and fragrances as well, and Brian is a scent hound who always has a new designer fragrance he’s picked up somewhere for you to sample. Also a quality booze selection if you have time for a drink while you’re in. Couple of years ago I got the date wrong and showed up a day early. Figured I’d already blocked off the time so I just hung out and had a drink. Really cool.

I booked an appointment with Lindsey for a shave. I had never had a straight razor shave before but it had been on my bucket list. Lindsey was heavenly. She explained everything to me before she began. She frequently asked me how I was doing. The experience was magnificent. The oils, hot towels, facial massage and of course a very close shave were all wonderful. The atmosphere of the Gentry is very upscale and professional. I will make this a monthly treat to myself.

Lindsay Mendoza has just started taking care of my beard. I was amazed at the service and the experience. I had no clue my beard could even look so good. I went to the Gentry this past week with my son. I was a little nervous because my son is young. It ended up working out, it was a real good atmosphere, the two girls that work there are super cool and friendly. Nikki cut our hair and did an excellent job. We will go here from now on.

Called and talked to Brian about an appointment for a haircut and razor beard trim. Seemed very accommodating over phone. I of course had checked reviews out along with any other info I could find using all media available. Looked like a very cool and distinguished place. Upon hanging up, my appointment was set for 10:30 at what I thought was opening time. My wife came with me as she to was intrigued after watching some YouTube videos about the shop. We arrived at 10:25, door was unlocked so we entered. We were greeted rather promptly by a lady and was asked who I was there to see. I explained I had talked to Brian the day before and my appointment was for 10:30 but was not given a name of who the barber would be. Some confusion followed a couple times after we sat down. After about five minutes I was told that someone would take me in as soon as she was finished with the gentleman she was working on. It’s 10:45 now with not a clue as to when the lady assigned to my 10:30 appointment would be finished with the guy in her chair....15 minutes, 20, 30,40? After Brian crossed several times right in front of my wife and I as we sat on the couch and not even so much as acknowledging new customers sitting and waiting, at 10:55, we left.

Nikki is simply the best. Ive been to 6 different people to cut my hair in the past 2 years. She is the only one who cuts my hair well. I have very straight hair and any mistake can be seen easily. She cuts my hair consistently and wonderfully. I dont have to fear going to the barber and worrying about my haircut. Thank you Nikki!

The Gentry is a stunning place. This barbershop drips with atmosphere. Dark hardwoods, leather, and bourbon bottles form the visual asthetic, and theres typically an oil diffuser going to give the place a great scent. Each barber has their own private room, and they dedicate enough time to each patron to have a good conversation around your hair or beard trim. Im always happy with my beard trim, no matter who I get to trim it.

If youre a real man like myself you dont go to a beauty shop to get your hair cut!!! This is a barber shop, the way it should be!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is awesome!!! My go to guy is Bryan and hes always great, I even get the old fashioned hot towel treatment and you gotta love that!!! Im a Gentry man for life!!!

Not speaking to any of the specific stylists because the one experience I had with a stylist was fantastic. Brian Ochoa, the owner, sadly turned out to be a racist and proved this on his personal Facebook. Sad to see another place run by horrible people. I suggest contacting his stylists independently, dont give this racist money.

The customer service and experience was amazing. I really only wish I had more money so I could be a regular customer. I mean, who doesnt like good smelling hot towels and adult beverages while they get a cut?! Am i right? I did get some cards from the person I received service from and passed all of them out , hopefully all them people checked it out. I would definitely recommend this place at minimum for the experience.

Brian is a very talented artist along with his staff and for these prices its a outstanding deal. I must mention too that on my last visit there was a accident at my fault and Brian was very professional and handled the situation like a true gentleman. Best experience I have had at a barber shop in a long long time. Brian knew what he was doing and was very conversational. Exactly what I was hoping for out of a barber. Hair cut, beard trim, hair wash and a steam towel made for one great experience. To top it all off the atmosphere was perfect.

No matter where I went I would always have to fix my hair with scissors when I got home until I found out about the Gentry. I have had my hair cut by Brian, Jamie, and Lindsay. All three are friendly and great barbers. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a professional hair cut.

The best mens barbershop in Macon. Far too long Ive been to chop shop operations in Macon whose goal is to get you in and out as fast as possible. Not at the Gentry. I felt like Brian took a personal pride in the outcome of his work. You can rest easy knowing you have a seasoned professional providing the best cut in the city.

Have been a client of Brians for several months now, and last week ended up with a haircut that I was not happy with.I asked him if he could make some room for me on his calendar to fix the small mistake, and his reply was that I would need to re-book and his calendar was full two weeks outHe later told me that I could come in the same day and he would fix it but only if I showed him a picture of the cutNaturally, went to someone else to have the problem resolved.Im extremely disappointed at the overall lack of customer service and will not be returning.

If spot on everytime is what you are looking for, you can stop looking. Every barber there is truly proficient in their craft. I almost always go to Brian, he had an emergency come up once and got my booking swapped to Lindsay, she did an awesome job as well. I have not used Jamie but have seen some of the guys walk out of his room and thought “daaang that looks good”. I prefer to go to Brian because of the familiarity but if he were booked and I just HAD to have a cut right then I wouldnt be worried in the least to go back to Lindsay or to try Jamie.

The Gentry isnt your typical Barbershop. Ive been a client right around 3 years (off and on) but its going to be my go to shop for now on because Its truly in a league of its own. Hands down the best Barbershop in macon and probably central Ga. Its exactly what they call it a traditional gentlemens Barbershop with a contemporary twist. The atmosphere and people make it one of kind. Not to meantion the level of service you get. Hot towel service, shaves, facials, amazing haircut, shoe shines, and ect. They even offer whiskey and bourban while you wait which is apart of the the service. They also offer massagers which is something I recommend. Honestly Ive had my hair cut just about by everyone in the shop and its hard to pick a favorite. Their all simply amazing.
