I’m not one to leave bad reviews unless I actually have had multiple bad experiences somewhere. The staff here is lovely, all very friendly people. However, I have had two botched fillings come from here, one that’s requiring a root canal to fix. I’m not sure why, but they almost exclusively have dental hygienists doing the dental work instead of an actual dentist, which I was originally okay with until multiple mistakes were made that are now costing me a fortune to get corrected. I also had to tell one of the hygienists 3 times that I don’t have wisdom teeth so that can’t be the cause of a toothache before she would listen to me, and she had an attitude about it and left the room and never came back. Save yourself the trouble and future correction costs and find a different dentist.

Dr. Ward and her entire staff are amazing. I have always had anxiety about dental appts and dental work, they never once made me feel judged and were all so kind and caring. I would recommend them to anyone, best dentist Ive ever had!

Best dentist ever! Everything is clean and neat. They have TVs in the rooms for you to watch while you’re getting your teeth cleaned. We are always greeted when we walk in and feel so welcome. The girls in the back are so nice and Connie is especially great! Dr Ward is so fantastic with my daughter.

Theyre extremely professional, extremely polite, and extremely knowledgeable in their fields.My doctor, Dr. Bishop was wonderful conversationalist as well as very professional and polite. My dental assistant I cant quite remember to her name, it was a beautiful name I remember that, but she was amazing as well, and also seemed very knowledgeable in her field. Rita, the receptionist was AMAZING. She helped me with my finances until we could get to a point where I can comfortably afford to make monthly payments at a reasonable amount for me per month, as insurance wont cover the work I need. Everyone I spoke to in that facility was a pleasure to talk to and I would recommend to anyone to visit them if you need dental work. Irish recommended by a friend, and Im glad that took his advice.Instead of being anxious about visiting before I walked in, I walked out with a quite a different impression. And Im no longer anxious but looking forward to visiting Middletown Commons Family Dental after I get some surgery done.I would rate above five stores if it was possible. Dr. Bishop has been nothing less than fantastic! The staff are all super helpful and friendly and the fact you can make payments is also extremely convenient. The only dentist I have seen that is more worried about helping patients rather than bankrupting then. 10/10 would recommend

After having fillings placed about a year ago, and now needing them replaced, not due to decay, but because of them simply not being done correctly, I feel I’m obligated to write a review. My dentist now took new x-rays, and stated “those fillings are left with open margins, no contact, and doesn’t look like they used a bonding agent”, I don’t necessarily know what all that means, but I do know that I have to come out of pocket for 4 teeth because they weren’t done properly by this office.

They wont take people with special needs.

Middletown Commons Family Dental is a such a great place for dental care. Dr. Ward and her staff are personable, very helpful, and really care about their patients. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new dentist go to Dr. Ward!

The old lady who works with financial is rude and disrespectful! She should not work with customer service because she doesn’t know how to talk to people over the phone and in person. For first encounter she said to me: You don’t need to thank me you should thank your boyfriend. I was trying to thank you for the great service but I guess I was wrong! Who do you think you are! He chose to sit with me no matter what during those hours. The second instance she called me over the phone and I was trying to explain to her about what time to come but she kept on continuing to say bye bye bye. The third time she said you better leave before I change my mind. And this is when I was sitting down doing nothing after I get my teeth worked on. Otherwise the other young Ladies who work there are very sweet however I do not want to be treated like that. Therefore I will not be back!

Everyone in the office is very nice and puts you at ease. Dr. Ward, Dr. Bishop and Connie all worked on my new crowns, and were very good at explaining things so I understood and answering my questions. Rita was very helpful in dealing with the dental insurance company. Any time I’ve called with questions about anything, everyone was always very patient and polite. Thanks!

I had an amazing experience at Middletown Commons Family Dental. It is very clean and neat. You walk in and it feels like home. They were very personable and cared about me as a person as well as a patient. All of the staff was extremely friendly. They welcome you by name and with a smile each time you enter. Connie took extremely well care of me and ensured that I left satisfied, happy, and confident. She went above and beyond to make sure I had the best care possible, along with Dr. Ward. They made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. I have never been so satisfied with a dentist office. I will definitely be going back!! You can tell they truly care about their patients.

Dr. Bishop and staff are so kind and compassionate. I had a HORRIBLE experience in the past with injections given prior to fillings at a different dentist office years ago. Dr. Bishop took the time to sit down with me, explain exactly what was going to happen and helped create a treatment plan that I was comfortable with. I came into my appointment, still cried because of my anxiety but was made to feel comfortable, safe and my concerns were heard. I was able to finally get my fillings, after a year of avoid it. Wish I could give no stars. As website states office will get you in for an emergency the same day I called at 830am and per site they close at 1pm. I advised person on the phone my filling fell out and I am in a lot of pain she told me I couldnt get in until 10am Monday not today I feel like site is misleading

Dr. Ward and her staff are absolutely amazing! I have really bad anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist but they made the experience a good one for me. I have avoided going to the dentist until I am in major pain but these ladies provide a really calming and non-judgmental environment. They also have flexible payment plans.

I normally have nothing nice to say but I enjoyed my recent visit. I had been a patient of Dr. Bishops before but my first time at the new place and new staff. Everyone was nice and friendly. And the real kicker was the hot lavender towel after my cleaning. But my favorite part was the thorough description of the cost of services, with and without insurance.

I love the dentist and assistants who helped me get my teeth together. However, I do not appreciate being talk down to from the office lady who works with insurance. Listen if you work with the public do not keep saying bye to the person on the phone! Its rude when someone is trying to tell you something. Second do not tell someone insurance is all paid for and I can not find it. Now you better leave before I change my mind. I will not be coming back

Had my first routine dental exam and cleaning 6 months ago and just today, completed replacement of an older broken crown. Im extremely pleased with both experiences! Dr. Wards staff is friendly, courteous, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable in all tasks from scheduling, check-in and out, cost estimates and applying insurance benefits, and performing the dental hygiene and assistant tasks. I felt very welcome, appreciated, and cared for every step of the way through my treatments. I found this dentist office by searching right here on google and I had to leave a review because it was a great visit. The staff is very friendly and professional, it’s a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. I was also impressed with the snacks, drinks and coffee available in the very clean waiting area, they also had tablets and toys for the kids which makes life so much easier for moms! Dr. Ward was very approachable, friendly and was great with my child. I am so glad we found this family dentistry!

Excellent dentist. I have been under the care of Dr. Larson and I really enjoy his professionalism and workmanship. Office staff very friendly and welcoming. Just had a crown done here and was pleased with being explained the procedure and what was to be expected throughout the process. I’ve had other dental work where temporary crowns or veneers will fall out requiring multiple trips back to the office- that didn’t happen here. After getting instructions on the care of the temporary crown I had no issues at all. Permanent crown came in quickly and it was perfect. No adjustment, filing or polishing needed. Aesthetically a beautiful office as well. Very pleased

Very pleased with my visit to MCFD. Dr Bishop, Dr Ward, and their entire staff are extremely professional. Everyone seems to truly enjoy their jobs and love what they do. I finally found a dentist for me! It is difficult to find a dentist where they listen to your concerns before acting, considerate of your time but never rushes, talks personal to you but is always professional, and then provide great dental care. Dr. Laura Ward does all this and more. I highly recommend.

They are wonderful! They are so easy to make an appointment and get a hold of. The staff was so accommodating when I had to have a crown put on while 8 months pregnant! They deal with your insurance provider and tell you all of your cost up front which makes it so clear and easy to understand. I love the text message notifications about upcoming appointments as well. Very impressed!

We switched to Middletown Commons Family Dental after moving to the area. Dr. Ward and her staff are amazing! Extremely professional and excellent service. The office is very modern and welcoming; I would refer anyone to them, because they care about their patients and have the skills to perform quality work each and every time. My entire family goes here and we are extremely fortunate to have such a great dentist!

The first issue I had was that the dentist didnt actually perform most of the services. There were assistants doing the work, including putting in the fillings and administering shots. Second issue, after receiving a quote to have services done at this office I was sent a bill saying I owed double what I was originally quoted. I spoke with the receptionist whom basically said they guess at a quote and after insurance comes in they charge the difference. I provided my insurance information up front (Anthem) and was given a quote. I could understand it not being exact but coming out to more than double what I was quoted is ridiculous. Ive never in 30+ years had an issue like this. I would suggest going to one of the other 10 dental practices in the same square mile as this one.

Today was my first visit and it was great! They were very kind and I love how genuine the staffs kindness felt! Every step of the way they explained what they were doing even when I was numb and wouldn’t feel it. Definitely will keep coming back here!

I highly recommend Dr. Jacob Bishop and his staff at Middletown Commons Family Dental.I recently switched dental practices to be closer to my home. Dr. Bishop and his staff made me feel welcomed and so comfortable.Everyone was so kind!! The waiting area was clean and had cold/hot drinks, snacks, television and I-Pads. The treatment rooms (also very neat and clean) offered an on the ceiling television!! I was even given a warm lavender towel to add to an already pleasant experience. So glad I switched!! I really enjoy going here. The staff is very professional. They do a wonderful job at what they do whether it’s cleaning your teeth or adding a filling. I chose to give this office a try because they have such flexible hours. I had a great experience. Everybody is really nice and helpful. I also preferred their teeth cleaning method, which uses a powerful water sprayer. It feels and works much better than the old ear piercing teeth grinders that other places use. I cant speak much for the cost, just that my insurance through Delta Dental paid for it 100%. Would definitely recommend.

I have had such a wonderful experience with the entire team at MCFD. They have made my dental my procedures so much easier and helped me get my dental health back on track. I absolutely LOVE this place! Dr. Ward is friendly and very knowledgeable. Her staff are always welcoming and so friendly! I’ve had terrible past experiences at other dental offices, but the staff here are so reassuring and their patience is unmatched. During my first visit their was a rather large “welcome” sign with my name on it. It was a small gesture that made me feel very welcomed and at ease. And once a dental hygienist covered me with a blanket when she noticed that I was cold during a procedure. I always feel much better after leaving their office (despite still being numb). I can’t express enough just how great this dental office is! My family will be here for years to come.

Today I had a appointment with Middletown Commons Family Dental. I was very impressed with Dr. Ward and her Staff. I have anxiety issues and when it comes to dental procedures it gets worse. But Dr.Ward and her staff eased those anxiety levels. The staff went out of their way as well as Dr. Ward to make me comfortable and semi pain free. The staff explain step by step the procedures on what was most important that needed to be dealt with first. I was not pressured or influenced to make a decision. I felt important not just another patient. Very friendly atmosphere.

Dr. Ward and her staff are the best. They always make me feel comfortable and take the time to talk about my services and treatments. Dr. Ward always has a smile and makes me feel like an old friend stopping by for a visit. Not many Dentist can make you feel so at ease. Dr. Ward is the best Dentist ive ever had. Highly recommend!

I have read several reviews for Middletown Commons Family dentistry on line. Most talked about the office the amenities, atmosphere and so on. These reviews are all correct.What I want to convey is that Dr. Ward could have her practice in a barn and I would recommend her and her staff to ANYONE.I had gone to another dentist for 16 years and had been satisfied until I needed a root canal and crown. I was not at all happy with the experience and after the procedure was complete after 4 months, yes you read that correctly I decided to make a change. I asked around and got a very positive recommendation for Dr. Ward. I then did some research on my own and decided to give them a try.What took me to them for the first time a week or so ago was the loss of a filling which was exacerbated by the crown I referenced above.Dr. Ward to my chagrin explained I needed a root canal and crown to repair the filling I lost. In addition the crown just done a couple months ago still had decay under it and had been ground down by my previous dentist to the point that it was below the surrounding teeth.... and needed replaced.To wrap up this mini novel, I had the root canal and crown done for my lost filling all in her office rather than two separate offices/dentists as before all in one week with no pain or discomfort as before and...wait for it, for less money!Not only is Dr. Ward terrific every person I interacted with from my initial phone call for an appointment to the doctors assistants were professional, knowledgeable, kind and friendly.I have more work scheduled over the next 90 days to fix the problem from my previous experience and I have every confidence things will go great.To wrap this up; YES these people are great, your experience will be a good one from start to finish and if by now you have not figured out my opinion here it is; I strongly recommend this dental practice to you for any dental work you may need.

Had to come in today and get a filling replaced. In the 30+ years Ive been coming to the dentist, Ive never had someone administer a shot that I didnt feel...a lot! Dr. Bishop accomplished that feat today. Didnt feel a thing. Im completely dumbfounded right now.

After living in 5 States and now in mid 80s, 2 dentists in Kentucky though one with change of ownership at last we found the best dentist we ever had. Oh yes we had some complex needs but executed perfectly. The Middletown Commons Family Dental has the latest technology, well trained and proficient team and Laura Ward DDS is the best Dentist we have ever had. Highly recommended.

After years of seeing a pediatric dentist, I figured it was time to switch to a general dentist so I decided to give Middletown Commons Dental a try. Dr. Ward and her staff are top notch! Not only are they extremely talented and knowledgeable, but they are honest, fun and enjoyable to be around - something you dont find at every dental office. Theyve gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease during each appointment. Dont think I could have chose a better office!

The entire experience was absolutely wonderful! The office is beautifully decorated and the receptionist staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. There was even a little chalk board welcoming the patients of the day. Dr. Ward was such a sweetheart! She is perfectly professional, friendly and gentle. The tech, Kylie, did my cleaning quickly and with a gentle hand. As a pregnant patient, my babys safety was a number one concern to all staff there (especially Phoebe the x-ray tech). The only downside for me, is that I didnt start going there sooner! I highly recommend this dental office and staff. This office shatters the typical negative stigma thats typically associated with going to the dentist. Truly, I joked with the staff that I felt like I was at the spa (seriously though, they even give you Lavender scented warm towels to wipe your face once theyre done).

Everyone has been extremely polite and helpful. They are excellent with communication. Not only do they seem to understand their craft, but they always seem to be in good spirits, as well. A great Dentist.

I have been very happy with my experience with Middletown Commons Family Dental and their ability to work directly with Invisalign. My daughter was able to get the results she wanted in 6 months without having to deal with braces. The staff at Middletown Commons Family Dental are friendly and knowledgeable and were able to make my daughter fell at ease during the entire experience.

I found the truly Gentile Family Dental Care. I was looking for a new dentist in my neighborhood and I received a brochure in the mail From Dr. Laura Ward.My experience was such a pleasant surprise I couldnt quit talking about it. The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth did an excellent job and I barely felt it. I kept praising her for doing such a good job and all the stains were gone. That is a plus I didnt get at my last dentist office.I had just finished chemotherapy and my teeth were neglected and sensitive. Dr. Ward found 6 small cavities and she thought that was expected considering the chemotherapy.

I am still waiting on a return call from Dr. Ward after 2 weeks of leaving over 12 messages with receptionist, emails, and even Jennifer the office manager, which I must say is extremely rude. I have been going to this office for over 2 years and they are good when you need a simple fix, but if there is an emergency they WILL NOT CALL YOU BACK WHEN THE OFFICE IS CLOSED. Why would a office manager call someone back in an emergency situation. Not the dentist??? The explanation from the office manager was basically my pain wasn’t a priority over her weekend and then was pretty much “guess you better find a different dentist” Wow! Terrible way to treat people and especially someone that was always so nice to them. Dr. Ward needs to tell her staff to get messages to her because it is an unprofessional way to treat patients in excruciating pain. She may have gotten the messages...I will never know. BEWARE! If you need a full time, reachable dentist office, this is not the place. They are only in 3 days a week because of long commutes from Indiana. Really a big disappointment!

Before going here I hadn’t been to the dentist in an irresponsible amount of time due to poor past experiences. This place was completely the opposite. Very friendly and helpful staff. They were up front about all of their pricing and even offered in house financing for some of the more pricey procedures. I’ll never like the dentist, but I certainly won’t dislike going here for when it’s needed.

Im usually pretty nervous about going to the dentist, mainly because the dentists dont make you feel comfortable there. Today was my first time going to Middletown commons family dental and my experience was great. Theyll call or text you a couple days before your appointment to make sure you remember your appointment. Theyre also good at remembering your name and will have conversations with you, unlike other dentist offices that just get straight to business. I refer this place to anyone who isnt highly satisfied with their dentist office! Give them a call and set up an appointment.

New patient. Loved it! Not affiliated with any of the staff. Everyone is extremely personable and well versed in the business. The office is modern and kid & parent friendly. They really focus on the minor details of making the entire dentist trip enjoyable. Right down to the sterilized, warm towel. Will be taking the hubby and kids here for many years to come.

Dr. Bishop is a wonderful dentist. I am so happy that he is at Middletown Commons Family Dentistry! He sees my entire family, including two small children, and our experience couldn’t be better. My kids look forward to going to the dentist!!
