USC Keck is an amazing hospital with amazing medical teams from bottom to the very top. My husband has been in ICU for 21 days. They keep me informed they have been kind and compassionate. I could not ask for a better team ever. I am so fortunate that my husband is there.

Dr. Rodrigo Rodriguez is the best Doctor ever!!!! Every doctor I’ve seen at Keck is amazing but DR. Rodriguez takes the cake! Not only is he helpful and focused on my health and well-being he’s helped me with my overall life as well. I thank GOD for DR. RODRIGUEZ!!!! He has done everything to help me. He’s not even like a doctor he’s more like a guardian angel. I know that sounds corny but it’s true! He’s not just a great doctor he’s a great person

Had the good fortune to have found an excellent doctor that Ive seen annually since 2009 when I had DaVinci robotic surgery that changed my life. I reviewed the list of doctors, made an appointment and when we met, she made the diagnosis and thoroughly explained all aspects of the surgical process and recovery. Its a teaching hospital, so your surgical crew are medical students under the tutelage of their professor, your doctor. One of the joys was meeting the entire youthful group prior to surgery. Excellent hospital. I cant imagine going anywhere else.

The WORST and the most expensive . My mother will have a surgery in Oct . They sent us an email with 5 different appointments in 1 day for pre-op. No addresses , no direction. No way to ask question regarding hospital stay, who can stay over , how to coordinate her care at home the day of the surgery .They rushed through patients like a task . At one point I wondered if the nurse confused me as a patient and started talking about my mom surgery when she wasnt even there.

The doctors and nurses are wonderful. However, the people at the front door at the intake desk are terrible. They are not straightforward make numerous unfound reasons not to allow me to see my mom. My mom asks to see me and I have visited numerous time and the would not allow me to visit. They would not allow me to see my mother although, I did, as requested; get vaccinated for Covid and Covid tested before coming to the hospital. I have not seen my mother for more than 4 days. Many people go in and out without issue. Nevertheless, these people at the front intake desk take advantage of people at very vulnerable times.

My wife had surgery with Dr. Bozena B. Wrobel MD at Keck Hospital to cure sinusitis in her nasal cavity. After antibiotics and the surgery that included an overnight and then post operation follow-up, my wifes condition did not improve. My wife was given more antibiotics and another visit with Dr. Wrobel for a check-up to see if her condition improved. I doubt that it will. All this for nothing instead she gets a bill for $13,000 for services our insurance did not cover and the hospital did not disclose prior to her surgery. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of Keck its overrated and grossly expensive.

I gave my mom Covid-19 (sorry mom, my bad) and she got very sick. I really did think she was going to leave us. Keck USC did all they could to save my mom. Staff was attentive and always answered all of our questions. They are quite organized there. Everything was taken care of as they promised and always called us to give us updates. The place itself is very pretty and most buildings are easily found and accessible. Most, if not all, of the staff is friendly and nice. Havent spoken to anyone thats been rude, at least not yet. Keck truly is one of the best hospitals in California, as their awards demonstrate. Id get my health care here if I could.

I was confused about a bill that I received back in January 2021. I had to wait 1 month for a call back after I sent a stern email. The two representatives were able to clearly explain what the bill was regarding. Unfortunately, the 2nd representative who helped me used a condescending tone, and even raised their voice at me after I explained to her I felt like I was being taken advantage of by Keck. I made sure to say it was rude before being transferred to the automated payment system. I feel disrespected for having to wait so long and for being spoken to like I don’t matter. Was it because my last name is Martinez?

Billing is basically a scam. What you owe is in very large red letters and the 10% discount is so small it is usually missed -- as was my case. When I tried to get the discount I was met with--- it is too late. I had an appointment on July 15 2020 with Dr. Andre De Castro Abreu.Doctor was not the best, he did not offer any reasonable remedy to my issue but thats not the point.Fast forward to october/november 2020, I receive a bill for $130 from USC. Assuming this is for my visit I pay the bill.Fast forward to today, march 31 2021, i receive a call from CMRE collection services telling me I have a collection of $609 from USC.What happened is the unprofessional reception staff at the dr office got my address incorrectly (though somehow I received the bill from USC) and they mailed my doctor appointment bill to the wrong address. Thats a different bill to the one I paid already, which is supposedly for Hospital services??? They also did not have my insurance info on file which I definitely presented through zocdoc app and in person. Because they do not have my insurance info, they decided to bill outrageous $600 bill for a 10 min visit which did not even solve my problem. Now because of Dr Andres unprofessional staff employees I have to deal with collection agency, my insurance company, USC and credit beuros to fix this issue.Worst experience ever, I strongly urge you to avoid USC and Dr Andre and their unprofessional employees. This is ridiculous

Now she struggles to retain nutrients in her body that have put her in Emergency. Dr. Kim failed to admit it was a fail hernia surgery or how o manage gastroparesis, a life altering complications that resulted from this sloppy surgery. USC has been sweeping this issue under the rug, but we are actively seeking answers and justification will come soon.

If you want your loved one to suffer and/or die, go here. The patient looked okay. After 8 days, patient looked like USC staff had beaten the patient almost to death! The admin lies a lot, is disrespectful, & cares more about its staff & making money than taking care of the patients & getting them well. Top doctors which USC Keck use for advertising are not attending doctors. A couple of fellows with attitude and arrogance rather than talent and experience who admit they arent following safety re Covid when they are out of the hospital. A few charge nurses (Kayla & Annette on 5 south) & nurse manager (Jo-an) take out their stress on patients & often lie. Kayla and Annette (British) are verbally violent disturbing patients. Kayla needs her safe space. Nurses not following hygienic procedures so they are getting Covid & hospital understaffed & harming patients

The staff is exceptionally nice but there are problems: Parking is next to impossible. If you can find a place in the structure, it is free for the first two hours then $8 a day. Period. Even if you are only a few minutes over and had spent 20 minutes finding a place. There are only a few handicap spots and they are almost always full. There is no other available parking except for some street parking a couple of blocks away which is almost always full and quite a hike up a hill to the medical center. Impossible for a wheelchair. Keck really needs to do something about the parking problem. Also, when my husband had a procedure recently, we arrived as scheduled at 5:30am. The operation didnt begin until 10am. It ended at 2:30pm. It was 11:30pm before a room became available. Meanwhile I had waited and waited for hours. With my bad back I couldnt get comfortable. Finally when we were given a room there was no place for me to sleep (although Id been told by the doctors office that there would be a fold out recliner) so I ended up on two hard wooden chairs tied together with my belt, end on end, by me with pillows on top. That lasted two nights! Apparently room availability is problematic. Although I was allowed to stay, it was not as welcoming as other hospitals wed been in in the past who provided cots for a family member and sometimes even a fridge. We had to bother the staff for what should have been available items like Ice water, towels, etc. Also the cafeteria, the only place to purchase food, is very expensive. A packaged peanut butter and jelly sandwich was almost $5, so bring your own food. Hospital stays are never pleasant but only the niceness of the staff made this one bearable.

I received a notification from Credit Karma saying my score had changed, and when I logged in I saw that it was from USC sending two medical bills I never even knew about to a collections agency. After speaking with the collections agency and USC, they say USC sent the two bills to an address I had since moved from. When I asked why they didnt call, they said they did, so I asked them what number they called. It was off by a number because someone didnt input it correctly. The result? Not one, but TWO derogatory remarks on my credit score because they submitted TWO bills that I never knew about to the collections agency. These bills totaled less than $500: clearly something I would have been more than happy to pay right then and there and not something Im dodging.I asked both if they could do anything about removing the derogatory remarks and they just said they tried contacting me, and they cant do anything about it. I love the Drs here but have do NOT like the hospital staff. I had a very bad experience when one of my major organs was cut on accident during surgery about 2 or 3 years ago, sent home with no knowledge of internal bleeding! Yikes! Nursing staff in hospital I believe were to blame...very rude, non attentive, over staffed, did not listen to patient concerns and pain levels. One year later I end up back there, different Dr, different surgery...another mistake! This time huge blood clot across abdomen, nursing staff didnt notice until I was being released to go home and passed out on floor...turned out, needed 2 blood transfusions! Again, nursing staff not listening to patients concerns and needs...nurses too interested in moving patients out quickly instead of making sure that they are stable! Dont let a patients age fool you! Just because someone is young...that does NOT mean that they are healthy! If a patient is telling you that they have a certain health issue, do not assume that they do not know what they are talking about just because they are younger then the average person with that particular health issue! When a patient tells a nursing staff about their own health issues or that something is wrong its because they as a patient are familiar with and know their own body enough to know when something is not right...this is because they have experienced health issues before! Please listen to your patients! I almost lost my life twice at this hospital due to simple mistakes that were overlooked by people that were in too big of a hurry! Staff members trying to quickly move on to the next, treating me like I was just another number...thank God, if I hadnt had my mom with me both times to get the nurses attention, Id be dead! The hospital needs new nursing staff!

I had brain surgery on 9/27/18 and have to say that the pain management protocol was horrible. Even when I told them certain medications didnt work, they continued to prescribe the same thing. I have a very high pain tolerance and if I say Im in pain, Im not kidding. I was discharged 2 days post surgery and was given 2 days worth of painkillers upon release. What a joke. I continue to have severe headaches after 6 days. My conclusion is that they dont believe you have pain or dont care. Either one is unacceptable given todays medical proof that pain (especially severe) hinders recovery.I had brain surgery at Huntington Hospital 2 months ago and they explained the importance of pain management and encouraged me to let them know if I had any pain. I never expected not to have any but when I told USC it was an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale, they never took measures to correct the problem. Finally, I was discharged without any real communication with a doctor. I wonder if they would treat their family members that way?By the way, I made my concerns known, in writing on their website, while I was in the hospital and received no response even though I put my room number in my message.

I highly recommend Dr. Zada to anyone needing any type of neurosurgery, especially those dealing with a pituitary tumor that can be debilitating. He is amazing. Dont delay seeing such a competent doctor!!!! He is the best.

Went here for a thyroidectomy which was performed by a prestigious surgeon. Surgery went well as with follow ups; however, the bills never end. I have PPO that covers almost 95% of everything but the bills keep coming from different departments of which I keep paying out of pocket for. Just when you and your insurance think everything is taken care of another bill magically appears months later! Now I know why this hospital looks like Rodeo Dr. they forever keep charging you. Beware, dont be fooled by the propaganda this hospital spends millions on as there are other hospitals to choose from such as UCLA or John Hopkins.

I am Magine they have done a lot of good but when I was there and I was supposed to be treated and I was suffering in so much pain I could not even imagine ever being there they were so nice but my insurance of Medi-Cal didn’t go through the first time instead of checking for mistakes I was treated as a vagrant and would you please go away and stop bothering us very disappointed in which I was hoping would’ve been a much better experience.

Dr. Rosenberg in Urology is a wonderful Dr. explains things and has a Dr/patient relationship with me. Dr Ozel is the best Gyncologist. She is very understanding and compassionate. She explains in detail and has answers to your questions. Dr Aharonian is the best Dr in Internal medicine. These are just a few of the Best Doctors I have had an experience with. I’ve been treated with utmost respect and care. Would never consider going somewhere else.

There is a major corruption in this place. This hospital charged me a bill for the amount that my family never owed (shouldve been paid by my insurance) but they continue to send me a bill. A few days ago, they send me a final notice that Id need to pay the balance or they will take a further action!!! I will not recommend this place to anyone!

They performed titers to check for my immunization levels a year ago before I left for school. They failed to send the records to my school. After calling several times, I finally got the records sent. That was a year ago... I told them Id be moving and gave them my new address. They apparently sent a bill I never knew about to my old address and the mail was returned due to my address change. They had (and still have) my current phone number on file, but never once tried to call me. A year later (now), without knowing anything about the bill, I get a call from an incredibly unprofessional collections agency. After hours on the phone, I find out that they simply send you to collections without trying to contact you if you move. Now they are ruining my excellent credit and have no remorse. They just want the money. This place only cares about money... Terrible people.

Great doctors fantastic nurses and hospital staff. I am a current patient recovering from neck surgery the hospital assigns too many patients to each nurse and especially the patient care techs, that its hard for patients who really need attention to get proper care.

Initially, my reaction to being a patient in this hospital was very good. The staff seemed knowledgeable and helpful. However, when I was discharged, the hospital failed to correctly fill the doctors prescription and I went a full week with increasing pain because I was not given any anti-inflammation drugs. That substantially slowed my recovery from spine surgery and made it much more painful. In addition, the hospital center repeatedly failed to bill my insurance, leaving me to chase after them to get billing corrected. One nurse told me that the billing office was incompetent. Further, post-op I was placed in a room with a man who was highly contagious with diarrhea and I would up with the same disease for six weeks. In addition, the sight in my left eye was damaged during surgery and more surgery was needed to fix that failure by the hospital staff.
