My two kids have been going to Dr Kishibay for over two years, the guy is fantastic. Great demeanor, clear consultation and minimally invasive, as opposed to some guys who just wanna stuff braces into everyones mouth for the $$. Highly recommend Kishibay. And not for nothing, but the reviewer that gave him one star here went to his office once, weve been patients for years.

Dr. Kishibay is a nice enough person, I guess, but he was really not helpful at all for my issue. My teeth were inexplicably moving on their own, and my night guard (for bruxism) no longer fit correctly, and made my teeth sensitive to wear. His professional opinion about this was astonishingly ignorant; he said we dont really understand why teeth move and recommended that I just get a new night guard made, which would hold my teeth in place at night (even though thats theoretically what the previous night guard was doing, for the 4 years that I wore it nightly). I decided to find an orthodontist who not only *does* understand why teeth move, but also understands why I grind my teeth at night -- which is the problem Im currently addressing (with an ALF device). No new night guard needed, and hopefully when my current treatment is done, I wont snore anymore, either!Meanwhile, Dr. Kishibays practice, which is a premier, in-network provider under Delta Dental, decided they were going to charge me $18 above what insurance would cover for my one and only visit there. I told them that my Explanation of Benefits from Delta Dental indicated that I owed nothing for the visit, and he should respect the contractually allowed billable amount for the visit. They pushed back, so I had DD investigate and force them to drop this issue. It did take months, and a lot of my time, though. I think its really criminal that Dr. Kishibay would try to extort more money out of his patients. If what Delta Dental contractually allows isnt enough, either re-negotiate your contract with them, or dont accept their insurance. Its not fair to people to take advantage of patients like this, and I think in most cases, people would just pay the $18, rather than fight it.
