Dr Al-Hashimi is a very good doctor, and has always given me the correct treatment based on my eye condition. However, I feel like he rushes me out as fast as possible and doesnt really seem to care or have much empathy. This is based on 3 visits over nearly 2 years. I may try a different cornea specialist at UCLA.

Wow, I’m impressed with the quality of care provided by Dr. Al! He is very knowledgeable and skilled (which is, of course, to be expected from UCLA and Jules Stein). But what especially impressed me is his caring demeanor and his patience in explaining things in a manner in which I can understand. Also, he has a great sense of humor! Would definitely recommend

My father was having some eye issues due to macular degeneration. He was quick to take a phone consult and provide him with some vitamins, suggestions and possible treatments for improving his condition. Luckily, his sight has improved and been good for quite a while now. Dr. Saba has also followed up and asked how he has been since his initial consult. Thank goodness he hasn’t needed his services since then, but we know who to call whenever he has an issue with his sight. Great doctor and tremendously helpful. Highly recommended!

Horrific experience. Very rude, wouldn’t listen or explain anything, and couldn’t wait to get me out the door as fast as possible. Other more experienced ophthalmologists at UCLA are good. Recommend them instead.P.s. beware these 5-star reviews may be fake: as soon as I posted a negative review, suddenly they appeared right after. Seemed very suspicious, so updating now to share that info... To help decide if you trust them, I suggest Googling a few other doctors at UCLA to see if they have THIS many reviews. If they don’t, maybe it’s because they don’t need to drown out negative reviews with lots more reviews. Anyway, just doing my part. Hope it’s helpful.

Dr Saba Al-Hashimi is a miracle worker. i was losing by sight rapidly in both eyes. It took a while for me to decide to go forward and the process was clear cut, thoughtful, and concise. He went beyond the call of duty to make sure there was a good result. i use my eyes directly in my work as an artist. And i grew to really admire Dr. Al-Hashimi and his tireless mission to help me. the result was incredible. Not only am i back to seeing again but i see better now then before my procedures. Each step of the way he was caring and considerate, and im forever grateful to you Dr. Al-Hashimi. i highly recommend him to anyone going through the same any eye problems. Thank you and best.

Superb cornea specialist. Saw 3 other eye doctors before being referred to Dr.Al-Hashimi at UCLA. Was able to explain exactly what the issue was and how to fix it. Now seeing better than I have in years! Super grateful to have such a compassionate and caring doctor who knows what he is doing.

Dr. Saba did my LASIK surgery and my results are life changing. I can see better than I ever have. The doctor is professional and knowledgeable with a lot of experience. I highly recommend him. I’ve sent 3 friends to see him and they are all extremely happy with their results too.

Dr. Hashimi preserved my vision with honest advice and guidance and two complex procedures that were conducted perfectly.
