Because the place is located in the hood I questioned the quality of treatment my Goddaughter/great niece was getting. I am a social scientist and Im very clear about marginalization that affects every level of the life experience for people of color- we generally get the 2nd best of everything. But my daughter/niece seems relatively content and everyone there from social workers to patients seem to demonstrate tolerance, kindness, and consideration šŸ¤” for her from the limited perspective that I see (no one is allowed to visit inside because of covid19)...but when I call her she sounding better and better and the social workers always return my calls and address my concerns respectfully...the only thing is that shes hungry most of the time but I know too that she has a voracious appetite LOL. I get an overall feeling that shes okay there and that shes in a safe place thats providing the best that they can with what they have to work with. That impresses me. I dont like the fact that I cant visit with her and see her face-to-face so that I can literally see how shes doing and being treated; I also know that covid19 is no joke and extensive measures must be taken as a safety precaution.

Iā€™m writing this review to let people coming here know that the staff members behind the window do not wear masks. People are coughing and only put their masks on when they leave the cubicle, but they touch everything they give you like clipboards, papers, and pens without masks on or at least sanitizing their hands. The only people I have seen with masks on who follow covid guidelines are the two people who let you into the building.

The therapist I first got was the same one to do my intake. I switched from them because they didnt listen to me they definitely didnt have clear understanding of what I tried to tell them. My new therapist is amazing and makes me feel comfortable enough to confide in her how I feel. The groups most of them I dont consider lengthy enough. Personally my favorite group Ive been to so far is Excel for Life. This group I want the place to allow to stay and not change. I do hope they keep this group in particular.

Now it has changed after the pandemic. They answer phone right away and write email to my therapist and psychiatrist. They are prompt. They are doing much better. Great improvement.

I was very surprised AND disappointed that i had caught a plan, train, uber drove 71 miles one way AND WAITED three hours for the service my son received. i had anotha child receive services from here before IT WAS DECENT that was over 8-9 years ago. times have truly changed FOR THE WORSE. we will not be returning. sadly, my son TRULY needs assistance and the person assigned to him appears to LACK the experience and correct approach.

Its a very ugly hospital visits or not monitored they let other patience disturb your visit. I wanted almost 5 minutes for them to open the door they waisted my visiting time while they were just sitting around. They need attention in that department B and them to care and watch over patients.!
