I had a great experience at this hospital. I went in for a disc-replacement surgery and was held over night for observation and care. The nursing staff who cared for me was amazing. The OR room was high tech and very organized. From the initial check-in to my release, the staff was top notch! Shout out to Dr. Khoo for such amazing work on my spine and my nursing staff was absolutely the best (especially my day nurse)! Thanks again for your care!

So grateful for all the ER doctors that have showed incredible kindness, concern, and care while I was there, on top of getting to the bottom of the problem. Each doctor and nurse I dealt with were all of top caliber in this regard and Im so thankful that theyve provided relief, and even followed up with me the next day to go over lab results. Even the people that admitted me in showed genuine care. So so grateful. Thank you to the entire staff at Good Samaritan, this hospital lives up to its name.

To all Good Samaritan Hospital Workers, Especially on the 4th FloorI truly want to thank you guys for all your hard work specially during this hard times of COVID. Is been almost a year from today that I had my Dad in a very bad condition due to COVID, his oxygen level was under 80% he was not able to breath properly and any walking would get him really exhausted . After consulting one of our personal physician thru TELADOC and describing the symptoms trying to get around without needing to go to hospital he advice us that it was necessary for him to go to a hospital needing attention and care. Good Samaritan did that for us. We are truly grateful for their attention with my dad and all the hard work. My dad is back home with us Healthy and with a good oxygen level. I have heard a lot of good stuff from my dad and all the nurses and doctors on 4th Level for COVID PATIENTS. I truly appreciate everything. Thanks to all our heroes there. I have any dad back with us and enjoying everyday. THANK YOU!

I would not recommend delivering a baby here. I had the worst experience. It ruined my birth experience, and left me traumatized. The aftercare was poor (except one helpful nurse). They were short staffed, not supportive, ignored my concerns and I had multiple recovering issues. If you can, go somewhere else.

Great hospital, clean, experienced, patience and confident doctor ( DR Josh). My mother has an emergency and brought to this hospital by ambulance and by far she got the best care of all of the hospital she has been through in the past including USC.She ended up on 4th floor room 427 later that night. This hospital is taking their jobs seriously, treating patients with care and kindness! ER staffs were very responsive and take precautions due to Delta variants in the city! The front desk staffs also very nice and did excellent job on connecting us directly to ER. Very well managed for a big hospital. Highly recommended, you and your family will be in good hand 🤚. For now, 1 visitor with proof of fully vaccinated or 72 hours negative PCR covid testing results, visiting hours : from 8am to 8pm :)

I cannot speak more highly of this hospital ER. I came in in the early morning with a scratched cornea (minor injury, but incredibly irritating) and they had wonderful COVID safety measures in place and were extremely helpful. I had to wait a bit (as is expected in the ER) but as soon as they were ready for me their incredibly trained staff helped fix me up instantly! When they finally got the spec of dirt stuck in my eye we even cheered in celebration! As they got me my discharge papers I chatted with one of the nurses who told me she was 79 years old! Almost 80! Had heart surgery AND a pace maker! And there she was on the front lines, keeping us safe during Covid. Wonderful staff and wonderful experience.

Nurse Stephanie from the emergency room told her not to call back because this is not a HOTLINE and we need to find a primary care doctor and not call the emergency room because it was to busy to address our concerns. We are Paying customers to this hospital and should have had better treatment than that. I will be following up on this complaint to take it to the fullest extent.

My ICU nurses were the excellent, and now that I am on the floor, the nurses are just as attentive. The CNAs as well. The rooms are private, and that helps with sleep and healing. Writhing in pain much to the COMPLETE apathy and lack of compassion of anyone working there.1:00am - 1:30am: Writhing in agonizing pain, having to dictate my insurance and personal information to a bitter old man who should not be working anywhere near other human being. Talk about lack of empathy.1:30 - 2:00am: I finally see the nurse who inserts the IV, gives me some pain medication and neglects to attach a bag of fluids (even after I told her Id been to the bathroom at least 20 times in the last 4 hours and was feeling dehydrated).2:00 - 6:00am: Lying on a gurney in the hallway, waiting to get a CT Scan done. The technician is nowhere to be found and I later learn that he had gone home and was on his way back (no one in the staff knew about this)!6:00am- 6:30am: CT Scan6:30am - 7:30am: Waiting for the results7:30 - 8:30: Waiting for the urologist8:30 - 9:30: As the doctor discharges me a nurse comes in with a bag of fluids and attaches it to my IV. This is one of the most racist Hospitals I’ve encountered. First let’s start off with one of the security guards that’s Guatemalan and how he is racist to blacks. Every day I come in for lunch to eat because my wife works down the street. I get a pass to go downstairs to eat cafe food. He hassles me down , asking me why do I keep coming on property. Then, let’s talk about how I sat in the lobby area to wait for my wife to meet me here. The gentleman before him in the lobby turned the television on for me. Well the Guatemalan guard walks up to relive the black guard and turns the tv off on me. He told me that he has the right to do so because I have no business there. How rude? I’ve also witnessed him hassling a black Nurse , asking her if she worked today or not. Is he the police of the building? After she explained she was waiting for the Nursing Supervisor ,he then tells her she has 10mintues to find out if shes works or not. How do you people hire people with the most racism in their hearts and feel it’s okay? I spoke to his Hispanic Supervisor (I can not remember his name ) , but he didn’t do anything expect justify the racism, and rude behavior of his guard. Now, let’s talk about how I watched 3 guards drag a homeless man off property. Discharge is to be dragged off property? Then, I heard one of them say “I was gonna pepper spray him , but we were in the camera. I wish we wasn’t by the enterance door or I would have.” This should be illegal , and that should be under the law of “Homeless dumping “. Security doesn’t have the right to put their hands on anyone, their not police.Think I’m gonna reach out to the city about this.

If I could give zero stars I would. I came in severely dehydrated, never administered IV fluids, I came in at a 7 on the pain scale. I was only ever administered to radio at the very END of my stay, so I spent the entire six hours I was waiting in bed, for absolutely nothing. My pain hasnt been treated, I was only able to get anything for my nausea after I had asked the THIRD nurse to make the request. And on top of all of this. This is by FAR the rudest staff I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. If you are able, make sure you visit some of the other hospitals in the area..you will receive proper care, and faster than this entire terrible ER. I will say for the record as well, Im a hospital employee and having seen how this one operates I will be filling a formal complaint anywhere I can. Im that disappointed in my care, and have received a solution to only one of the problems I came in today. SO if you have a lgitimite disability with pain, go elsewhere. If you are able yo tell the ambulance where to go. Go elsewhere. If you are able to wait to see your regular doctor, do so. This ER will NOT leave you satisfied. Having been here twice and able to read the reviews I can confirm it..and who the hell uses BLANKETS AS SEIZURE PADS!!!Also, along with every other negative review I experienced absolutely horribly rude nurses and staff. I brought my problems to the attetion of the charge nurse and he told me I was priority after six hours, he was also INCREDIBLY rude in the encounter and instead of apologizing he spent five minutes lecturing me about how a hospital is ran. Im sorry sir, I work in a teaching hospital I spotted mistake after mistake. And to compound this issue there is only one doctor working the ER even though every bed is filled. This is what we use On-call doctors for and again, this is the only ER where Ive ever heard of one doctor being on the floor and them not calling anyone to help reduce the flow. Whats worse, there was a man who was there just after I arrived and was bent over in pain, who STILL hadnt even been given the chance for a bed after 6 and half hours. If the man had severe appendicitis youd have a serious problem on your hands.

I’m from out of state and visiting. I went to ER this morning for certain symptoms I was having. A woman named Gabby at the window in the ER lobby did not really tell me what to do and I can barely hear her speaking through the window, as she didn’t really talk to me either. I already felt that she was unfriendly and “not there.” I saw papers with typing on it infront of the window and just assumed that I had to fill it out. There were no directions when arriving. I was confused how to admit myself, as hospitals where I’m from are different, we have receptionists in an open area who assist and admit people to ER. After my name was called, I went through the door. A different woman put my information into the computer in the same room as Gabby by the window. Few minutes later, Gabby was yelling at an older man out in the lobby to go through the door and her body expression was rude. I would have complained this on a form online instead, but couldnt find that on the site. He was an older man (I think he doesn’t speak English) and he did not know what to do, looking confused after he went through the door. Gabby spoke to him in Spanish and he handed her a paper, then he walked away still not knowing what to do. Gabby then asked him with a really rude attitude, “Where are you going?!” Her body gesture was just all over rude too. I work in a hospital from a different state. I’ve never seen anyone this rude and unfriendly in healthcare. Gabby needs to be retrained.

One of the best hospitals in Los Angeles. I was treated with respect. Great doctors and nurses.

This place is a dump. The building looks like its about to collapse. There is one directory, but its hidden on the second floor. Everyone in the building looks/acts depressed. There is one parking payment machine that ate both my card and ticket. It wouldnt give me back either, so I had to cancel the transaction. I watched the next person attempt to use the machine, and they were baffled as well.I politely explained the situation to the attendant. I had my card out ready to pay. They forcefully GRABBED it out of my hand and charged me the daily maximum and told me, The machine is fine. I just looked at it. Obviously this is a common practice for them. That is 100% theft, and I hope someone does something about it.

I broke my ankle and even though the nurses here are very kind, the doctors seem to be very distracted and rushed. They dont properly look at the xrays and dont take the time to understand their patients. This could just be my experience and its biased, but this is the feeling I got while being treated here.

Because they saved my LIFE!! And, averted a panick in Los Angeles by not notifying C.D.C. about my Anthrax Poisoning, during wartime. Great guys, and yknow what? Theyre actually Doctors!! Lil ol me, and- - gosh, real DOCTORS...whod of thought. I felt like a Republican, really...a regular gazillion-aire! Luv Ya Doc!!

I had the very difficult experience of losing my Mom while she was at Good Samaritan. She was in different floors--the CCU, MICU and the regular floor. I am a physician and my sister is a nurse. I was very disappointed at the lack of compassion that the nursing staff had. No one helped my mom when she was ill (vomiting). A couple of nurses even yelled at her when she asked for help. They recorded vital signs that they never took. While we stayed wither overnight, no one woke her up over 8 hrs, but the heart rate and the blood pressure were noted on her chart. Failure to turn her resulted in pressure sores. There were only two nurses that displayed compassion (sad though, because she was there for 6 weeks)I wish the caregivers in this hospital have more compassionate nurses when it is their turn to lose a loved one.

RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL. They sent my son home with both bones broken in his arm in a sling. He suffered all night and went to Cedars the next day. He was IMMEDIATLEY admitted and had plates and screws put in. Then they billed be thousands for a sling. Even worse, the person to talk to about your bill can only be contact by sending a letter to a PO Box. NO name. No phone number. I sent a registered letter 60 days ago. No response except a call from the collection agency.

The worst. Dr. Craig Torres-Ness is the most incompetent dr. I have ever spoken with. He is a disgrace to the medical profession. Maybe voodoo should be his job. Once I feel a little better from my brain cancer Ill take this to task. Worst Dr. , Dosent know normal protocol, cant understand a CT scan. Hes a joke. And now youre hospital is.

I somehow ended in this hospital for 3 days. To my surprise, it was a very good hospital. Healthcare Staff are professional and responsible, clean private room, good food service, plenty of room for everyting. When I asked for the educational materials for medications given to me, the nurse helpfully printed out on paper for me to read. Also, I was able to obtain financial assisstance from the hospital when I need it so much! One of the best!

Worst hospital in LA. If you want to die or a loved one to due please take them here. Thier nurses dont care and pass the problem off I someone else. When you ask questions about care.all you get is excuses after excuses. Management here is a joke. You want to file a complaint good luck they will laugh at you and hung up on you. Special diet meals for sick paients is even worse. They literally tried to serve my.friend that would.kill him if he ate it. Then gave no food for three days because he wouldnt eat it. The department of health for both the state and county have been notified cant wait to see this place such down for gross misconduct.
