The best training for those wanting to learn to work deeply with their patients. This clinic is one of the best in the country. And their fees are affordable for those seeking therapy.

Although the people I interacted with on the phone were compassionate I feel this place is out of touch. Their sliding scale currently starts at $55. (I was NEVER offered a $40. base rate nor was it ever mentioned to me by either person I spoke to, I was told the lowest possible base was $55.) a session. When I had my phone intake they quoted me a price of $70. a session 1x a week. This is after I explained the work I do is freelance and , often, sporadic depending on the season. And this is for unlicensed counselors still matriculating through school and getting their hours. This institution is basically a teaching establishment. Im glad I didnt go to them as it pushed me to revisit my insurance which now covers counseling with licensed psychologists. Id much rather see someone in private practice then someone who is basically in school, not worldly or experienced and being one of many supervised by a Wright Institute employee. I think the Wright Institute should remind themselves of this fact. They are claiming in their reply that their high fees allow them to stay in business for those most in need. I wonder what the criteria is for that? It sounds like those most in need need to be able to pay the high fee or they are out of luck.

I was nervous to find a doctor that I would be able to talk and open up to, but the staff at Wright Institute eased my mind and helped me find the right help. And most importantly, its very affordable. Im so grateful I found this place!
