I was in a head-on collision in 2000 that resulted in a destabilized spine and pelvis, doctors offered no possibility of stabilization. After years of chronic pain issues, I found Dr Brook when I moved to LA in 2016. His treatment has been life-changing. Not only is my spine stabilized, I am off pain meds and I am doing activities I never thought I would enjoy again: body boarding, roller skating, hiking with a pack, and even running! I recently took a road trip of almost 3000 miles that would have had me in crippling pain before I worked with Dr Brook, I had no flare ups. This doctor is a miracle worker and I cannot recommend him more highly. I thank him daily for giving me my life back.

Dr. Mike is amazing - friendly and very knowledgeable with the body. He practically cured me of all the random Dad issues I had from throwing around my toddler.The Life Center itself is unlike any other chiropractic office I’ve even been to. My neck was in pretty bad shape when I first started coming i. to see Mike. I really love how precise he has been with the x-rays and how attuned he is to the specific areas I needed to focus on. My neck has felt soooo much better after coming into to see him for a handful of sessions. I am also grateful for all the exercises he has taught me to keep my spine in shape between visits.

I came to The Life Center Chiropractic in early spring of 2020 on a recommendation from a friend. I was undergoing extreme stress which led to back pain and limited mobility, which was quite debilitating. I had tried chiropractic care in the past for lower back issues and was not impressed by my results. Dr. Mike was very kind and caring and worked with me through 2 series of sessions. Today on Thanksgiving I give a special thanks to Dr Mike who for more than 5 months of treatment and care, today I remembered the first day that I came in desperate to my first appointment. My lower back hurt so much that I could barely walk. I was so bad with my posture, and I could barely walk. Even to think that the pain would never let me run, exercise or even walk without feeling so much pain made me lose hope and optimism. But, from my first appointment with Dr. Mike, he gave me positivity and treated me with care, professionalism, but above all he helped my body heal and go back to normal. He taught me that I should listen to my body, so much that today for the first time in 5 months I ran 10 miles again. And the best thing is I get to enjoy a better posture, walk without pain, sleep without insomnia, and my stress level dropped to a surprising level. Over the past 20 years Ive had issues with slipped discs and sciatica preventing me from doing basic daily tasks. I have been to a bunch of other chiropractors, physical therapist, acupuncturist, etc and nothing helped. The Life Center and Dr. Mike are the best! From my first visit, I could sense that they had a different approach than some other facilities I had been to. When you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly front desk staff, relaxing music and essential oils. I can tell they put a lot of emphasis on customer service because the staff treats the customers differently than most places, which is refreshing if you are a fan of the dying art of customer service. Also, they take my health insurance, which is fantastic. The waiting area uses these ergonomic ball chairs which, again, just shows that they are practicing and emparting onto patients a lifestyle and mindset. Dr. Mike is a fantastic adjuster and I always left feeling very aligned, both mentally and physically. I was rear-ended and sandwiched between two vehicles while driving and ultimately was in an immense amount of pain from my neck down to my low back. The most through and caring chiropractors I have ever encountered. There are sphereical chairs as you enter to your right so you can perform your prescribed exercies. The floor is padded so you could your seated movements and lay down on the back benders . I had a limited range of motion in my back and upper arm for several months after a gym injury. Doctor Mike Isseks evaluated and customized a recovery plan for me. I dont even know where to begin... I had been going for chiropractic care at another clinic and initially my back was better but then shortly after it just seemed like things werent improving. I am a 47 year-old male and live a pretty active lifestyle. Injuries from lifting, Spartan racing, and skateboarding - as well as slouching in my office chair for years - have taken their toll on my body. I experienced occasional back pain and had difficulty running long distances because my lower joints would ache. I rarely used my stand-up desk at work because it also hurt my hips, knees and feet.In the past I’ve only used chiropractors sparingly when I experienced pain instead of for ongoing treatment. But when I met Dr. Mike, I agreed to a check up with x-rays and a mobility test, and discovered I had spinal degeneration and misalignment.I reluctantly signed up for 3 months of care 3 x a week, and 3 months later I can say I feel like a new man. My mobility has greatly increased, my spine has shifted toward normal, and my back pain is virtually gone. Running is even easier now. I got a balance ball chair at work, but I hardly use it because I can stand all day. I feel like my body parts are finally working in unison instead of being out of whack.I’m going once a week now for ongoing maintenance. Being a stubborn male, I’ve always resisted seeing any sort of medical professional, but I had reached my mid-thirties and was “throwing my back out” more often. After never visiting a chiropractor in my life, I thought I should give it a try. The initial x-rays showed my spine had a very limited range of motion and two discs were touching, causing permanent damage. If I hadn’t received treatment from Dr. Mike (the most caring and gentle professional I’ve experienced in any field) I would have had some serious issues later in life. I am now completely pain free, restored my spine to over 100% healthy range of motion, and for the first time in my life am fully committed to self care. Even my knee pain that I assumed was from skateboarding injuries earlier in life went away after my body started operating in alignment for the first time in years. The time invested at this office was well worth it and often the highlight of my day. The vibe is like one part office, one part meditation studio with the relaxing atmosphere. LIFE CHANGING! Ive spent the last few months seeing Dr. Mike due to ongoing lower back pain that was really hindering my lifestyle. Through the process Dr. Mike not only adjusted my back but also taught me stretches and other movements to improve my flexibility, range of motion, etc. My back is feeling drastically better these days. Also, after mentioning a lingering knee injury he was also able to adjust my knee each visit until my knee was feeling brand new. Have you ever been faced with the thought of never walking again? Ever been forced to choose between living in agonizing pain or having a surgery which could potentially leave you paralyzed?Just saying those choices are “scary” is an understatement... they’re downright terrifying.You see, I was in a rock climbing accident. I slipped and fell thirty feet straight down onto one leg. Now...I was lucky in that I didn’t bust my knees, shatter an ankle, or land on my head. I’ll give you that. But I did totally compact my spine and left side which pinched nerves in my lumbar/sacral area.I was confined to laying on the floor of my living room for 90+ days before I could really move enough to go to the bathroom by myself. No work, no life, no health, just tv from living room floor. My girlfriend became my live in nurse. Feeding me, sponge bathing me, and cleaning up bedpans. All the while my “doctor” prescribing pain pills like they were tic-tacs.The choices given to me by my HMO doc were eitherA) live in pain for the rest of my life managed by opioids, orB) have surgery to try and fix my nerves and spine. One catch though...I’d have to risk paralysisI only share this for context...because after 5 months of pain...I was desperate for anything to give me some relief.While discussing pros and cons of surgery with my lady, she recommended I at least hear what a chiropractor had to say before going under the knife.After all, they are spine specialists, right? So, I figured what could it hurt? Figured it was best to have all the cards on the table when making my decision.So...I went to see Dr Mike.Now...never having been to see a chiropractor before...I had NO IDEA what to expect. And I was a little apprehensive. (I was raised up under western medicine where there’s a pill or surgery for every ailment. He taught me a daily movement routine, gave some diet change suggestions, and off we went down the care path.Hands down the best decision I have ever made.In just a few months (and by doing the stretching and changes to my diet) I am basically pain free and mobile again!! To think that three weeks earlier I was contemplating risking surgery is mind boggling to me!Walking, running and even rock climbing again all pain free. My GP couldn’t believe the turn around.And, on top of correcting the spinal injury, I no longer have sinus issues or migraines, and I sleep way better than even before the accident.Anyways, if it sounds like I’m like his cheerleader or something, I am. You will be too. I promise. Over the years I’ve seen Dr. Mike Isseks for a neck issue that I had been dealing with since I was a kid. His analysis was thorough and his adjustments have been both specific and helpful in resolving this issue. Now, whenever I’m in town I’m seen for maintenance care since my problem has been corrected. I came in with neck spasms and very little mobility in my neck and hips. I also had a sports injury that threw my body mechanics off significantly. Dr. Isseks put me on a steady program of adjustments and exercises, and the results were just short of life changing. I can turn my neck more than 75% further, no spasms, and I’m balanced and flexible like I haven’t been since my 20’s. Extremely grateful.

I was suffering from terrible sciatica pain down my leg to the point it affected my sleep, my work, even leisure time. I ended up limping a lot. My MRI revealed I had bulging discs in the lower back. I tried everything from Physical therapy, pain meds - nothing helped. I finally met Dr Isseks at a Farmers market and although I was terrified about my preconceived notions of the pain associated with chiropractics I took a leap of faith (FYI it wasnt painful at all!!). Dr Isseks was very accommodating and helped me understand my issues. He provided a comprehensive plan that would help me manage my pain. He also helped me understand that the process would not be painful.Within a month of the treatment I was literally pain free, I stopped limping, I was sleeping... it was fantastic- so thankful to Dr Isseks who also takes the time to answer my many many questions.The staff is also wonderful and super friendly. The vibe of the place is very calm and peaceful which is such a great way to kick off the day.I still go there for weekly adjustments (another thing I appreciate is that they dont force suggestions on you) - My goal is to be able to start working out again and Dr Isseks has been extremely supportive of that throughout!

I love the Life Center Chiropractic! This place is a sanctuary. I remember when I first met Dr. Mike, he was promoting his services, and I didnt even know I needed any chiropractic care. He gave an assessment and showed me where I was probably subluxated and offered a great deal to come into the center and get everything checked out. I found out I was subluxated in multiple areas and my spine was so far out of alignment I was surprised I was even functioning! I signed up for a months-long treatment plan and after a few months everything is working great and I feel 10x better than I did before Life Center Chiropractic! Jeremy, Mike, and Kristyn are fantastic at their craft, they are all very personable, and the ambience in the center is like no other chiropractic or holistic health center Ive ever been to. Its fun to go to the Life Center! The movement exercises are unique and effective and its obvious a lot of passion and love has been put into this business. Dr. Mike is a miracle worker. About 4 years ago, I tore my ACL and had to get it reconstructed, and ever since then I havent been able to get over the imbalance in my legs, which then spread itself to my hips and my back and then my shoulder. I developed neurosis about the unevenness of my body, even when I was doing something as simple as sitting or standing. I tried physical therapy, yoga, adjusted my weightlifting, and everything did not work. Years later, I was still functioning at maybe 50% of what I was pre-ACL surgery.I ran into Dr. Mike by chance at a farmers market near my apartment and decided to take a shot, as my girlfriend had some success with chiropractors in the past. I was skeptical at first, but after working with Dr. Mike over the course of 4 months, he was able to get rid of the big issue which was that my spine was started to get crooked due to an over-reliance on my good knee and thus the good side of my hips. After that, the rest of my body started to realign accordingly. Now I would say Im functioning at about 80%, which was a huge huge improvement that I was not expecting at all, way above my expectations.Dont get me wrong, youll still have to be diligent about doing the exercises that Dr. Mike suggests you do on a regular basis. But I followed his instructions to a tee and was consistent about keeping to my schedule, and the results speak for themselves. I would also say that although this place isnt cheap, its also not expensive and its well worth the money. Health is invaluable in my opinion. Do yourself a favor if youve had any sort of lingering issues with your knee or back like I did, and see if this works for you. I highly recommend Dr. Mike and the rest of the staff at the Life Center are so friendly and helpful, theyre a great group of people.
