Hye has been a lifesaver for me during this pregnancy. I have been receiving acupuncture on-and-off for pain from rheumatoid arthritis since 2012 so I am a pretty discerning client. I had just moved to the LA area when I became pregnant, and subsequently my RA flared up, causing pain and swelling in both wrists. Unfortunately, my former favorite practitioner is based in the Bay area, so I had to find a new acupuncturist, while being pregnant and in pain. :( I knew I needed an experienced practitioner who would treat my pain carefully, while also being familiar with the unique needs of pregnant clients (some pressure points can induce labor).I tried another local acupuncturist before I found Hye. What a difference! I knew immediately I was in very capable hands as she made sure not to put the needles directly in my swollen joints (a no, no during active flare) but to use the points in my feet instead. She took extra care to make sure I was comfortable, and we talked through the treatment plan we would use as my pregnancy progressed and I could no longer lay on my back.To say Hye’s care transformed my pregnancy is an understatement. Very quickly, her twice-weekly treatment cut my RA pain and swelling almost to zero. Let me repeat that, she took away my joint pain, allowing me to go back to work part time, which was HUGE!!! Her care removed any water retention, lowered my cortisol and stress/anxiety, helped me sleep better and boosted my energy, and when I was sick with a cold over the holidays, she opened up my sinuses so I could breath. Given the limited medications available to me while pregnant, I had very few other options, but I believe her care surpassed even what the drugs could have achieved. I am so, so thankful to have found her practice and I can not recommend her care highly enough.

Dr Kim is one of the most intuitive, detailed, and compassionate acupuncturists I’ve ever seen. She has helped heal some chronic injury pain in my neck, shoulders, a gallbladder imbalance, and has generally helped to restore my energy as an admittedly over taxed business owner, yoga practitioner, athlete, and mom. I’m so grateful to have found Dr Kim!

I really like her treatments. Whenever I have sickness, she is the first one to call. In the Western world, people look at acupuncturists as if they were therapists. In Asia, Acupuncturists are just like doctors and we understand that they just approach medicine from different angles. Sometimes things that are very hard to deal with in western medicine are easy to be cured with the Eastern way.

My first visit was awesome great energy I felt so taken care of. My second and third experience was not so great I felt super rushed and her energy was scattered due to the over-bookings. She does a good job if you don’t mind being rushed.

I have dealt with anxiety for many years even with taking meds.I never thought of asking Dr Hye if she could help me with it when I was having her treat my arm for pain. She knew I was fighting with something and ask me about myself . She has been treating me for the anxiety with acupuncture and some of the herbs she makes up .I cant tell you how she has change my life for the better .She is not only an amazingacupunctureurist she is an amazing person who really cares .She will and can balance your life.
