My partner and I stayed in Longmont for a week while working a nearby festival. The staff at the Ed & Ruth Lehman YMCA was FABULOUS. My partner is a member, but I am not. They made the process easy for me to pay as a guest and check in so we could quickly get started on our workouts. They remembered us and greeted us kindly every day of our trip.I loved using the cardio and weight rooms. My partner used the pool every day and was able to get a lane and start laps very quickly. Well be back the next time were in Longmont!

If I could put zero stars I would. Horrible place to send your children for summer camp. Supervisors are clearly not doing their job of making sure staff are carrying out appropriate protocol for different situations. Although the incident happened a week or so ago I felt the need to reach out to a higher up person above the staff there, I believe it was Asher Fast and I received zero answers and it felt like he had no idea what summer camp even was, not sure how he is the “boss”. It was nothing major to go up any higher, but it was still extremely unprofessional.

Horrible place. They have a nice swimming pool, which is why I chose to join the Y. But, It is only available for lap swimming from 7:00 pm to 7:45 pm. Thats only 45 minutes. How does that make any sense to the folks running the Y? Joining this Y was a waste of money.

Since my last review was removed for being too honest, Ill repost. Both of my kids went to this facility for the past 2 years. We have never had any issues until this year, less communication and new teachers. When my son came home with a bruise on his arm, I expressed my concern to the teachers. They said that they would look into it and talk to the teacher that my son was with that day. That was the last I heard of this. The next thing I got in the mail was a letter letting all parents know that one of the teachers had either abused and/or neglected one of the children in the facility. They did not release the teachers name so I did not know if that was the teacher that had hurt my son. A couple weeks ago by and they release a document that the parents have to sign to continue letting your kids participate. We signed off on all of the clauses except one.“I indemnify and hold harmless the YMCA, any officer, volunteer or employee of the YMCA and all involved with YMCA programs from liability for any harm that befalls my child as a result of participation in YMCA programs.”As a parent reading this, knowing that they had just had an issue with one of the teachers. They are still on probation from that incident. This clause frightened me and I needed som clarification. I ended up calling multiple people in this facility only to not get any of my calls returned. At one point, they did speak with my husband and let him know that if we did not sign off on that clause that our kids would be removed from their care. I went into the facility earlier this week to try to speak with one of the ladies in charge but they told me she had gone home already. The young lady asked if there was anything she could help me with and I asked if she could potentially elaborate more on this clause for me because it made me feel uncomfortable. She was unable to do so, so I did leave the facility and asked that I be contacted by one of the heads.Basically I was told remove my kids from this facility because I asked too many questions that made them uncomfortable. I even talked to the COO and he told me I will not change this for just one parent. All I asked for was peace of mind, anything that they could do or say to make me feel like my children were safe at their facility but alas they just told me to take my kids somewhere else. This is blatant classism if Ive ever seen it. Most of the families that they work with are on CCAP or considered low-income families. They take advantage of your needs and refuse to take any responsibility for their actions. I doubt Im the only parent that would like to know their children are safe. As a facility that watches peoples children, you are responsible for any and all bodily harm that come to my children. Obviously kids do get hurt on their own a lot. A simple solution for this issue should be extensive documentation. Examples: take a picture of every and all injuries that these kids get, document what happened and what actions you took.

This Y has improved recently. Theyve added new equipment and changed the layout. The customer service has improved as well. They added a coffee bar and and added a Little Free Library. I wish the class selection was better. I miss the kickboxing class with Meriam and wish they had fun classes that are accessible to all levels.

After moving to town I looked into literally every gym in Longmont. For the price and what you get, the Longmont YMCA is by far the best choice. They even offer a scholarship program to reduce your membership rate based on your income which helped me out majorly. The group fitness instructors are awesome and really give you a kick butt workout. They also offer so many great programs and events for kids.

Wonderful! I love what the Y stands for: healthy mind, body and spirit! Its a great place for kids! My oldest daughter went to many summer camps when she was young and she said by far the Y is the best! Now my youngest is in the program and loves it too! Thank you Longmont YMCA for providing a great environment to nurture growing minds!

I appreciate the fact that YMCAs serve the community, they do a lot of good especially for kids. But a friend dragged me here for a yoga class recently and I vow I will never take yoga at a YMCA again. It was clear that the instructor had been doing yoga for a short time, maybe just a few years. Shes one of those personal trainer gym types who belongs in a spin class not a yoga studio. I know Im a tough judge because Ive studied yoga for decades and have taught for over 10 years but its so disappointing to encounter this more and more, untrained teachers who take up space that could be filled by real yoga practitioners.

Great pool for doing water aerobics by myself. I suffer from both fibromyalgia and PTSD with social anxiety. The pool is generally very quiet and with the additional help of waterproof mp3 player (listening to audio books) I am able to block out enough to get some exercise without too much anxiety.

Terrible customer service. I called and one of the employees told me they would offer my 2 young boys and I free membership since my husband is military and is deployed. I went in to get a membership only to be told by another employee at the front desk that they dont offer that. All employees should have the same training!! We wont be getting our membership here

Not a fan of this place was told about it from another parent for child care and summer programs. I was even told because my child gets free lunch I could get a discount of 50% off the 250 weekly price.... well turns out it’s not the case I was toldBecause my income amount is to close to my expenses amount I don’t qualify for a discount. Highly disappointed.

I signed my son up for a soccer program in September. The YMCA cancelled the league due to not having enough players. For two whole weeks I was trying to get in touch with the coordinator of the program because I did not know this. Once I finally got in touch with them they had told me I would receive a refund. It is now doe end of November and I have not received anything back. They stopped contacting me and I have wrote numerous emails wondering what is going on. So unorganized. And they stole my money, $150 of my money they stole. Do not take your kids here!

Do not join or contribute to this place. The equipment is old and shoddy. Further, they make it difficult to cancel. I called in, asked them to cancel my membership and was told my membership was cancelled. Three months later, the idiots sent me a bill for several months. When I told them I had cancelled, they stated that to cancel I needed to go in, sign a paper, etc. Because I had not done that, they said I owed them for several months of membership and if I did not pay they would send me to collections. I paid because it was too much of a pain to waste my time with the idiots. I provide this opinion to warn others away from this crap hole. Ciao.
