Pete is an excellent trainer and teaches you to know your dogs behavior attributes and helps to get you more familiar with the signs your dog is giving. He matches your dogs personality type to the type of training best suited for the desired behavior. Pete is great. After the initial visit my rescue husky was already behaving better, but most importantly Pete took the time to show me what to look for and how to teach my dog to behave. In addition, all his training methods are humane and it seems he genuinely cares about the animals he interacts with.

The secret is, he doesn’t train dogs, he trains people to understand their dog’s psychology so that you can communicate effectively with your pet.When we got Lyra, she was very shy and reserved. Just scared of everything - including us. She was afraid to go for walks. Most of the time she wouldn’t even get out of her bed to go outside- we would have to carry her out. She wouldn’t do her business if we were out there with her, so we’d set her outside, then go inside and watch her through the sliding glass doors. To make matters worse, she had started to bark at the neighbors dogs through the fence.On his first day here, Peter walked us through the process of earning her trust and respect. He assured us that the bond would develop over time. He took her outside, and using his method, trained her in less than 10 minutes to not bark at the fence. It was a miracle.Using the tools Peter gave us, we’ve been able to help Lyra blossom into happy, outgoing, well-behaved dog. She loves training so much, I’m constantly learning new tricks to teach her, we’ve even started tip-toeing into some agility training. Pete was extremely personable and helpful when it came to our dog Shia! She was having issues with dog aggression and listening to commands. Peter was amazing to work with! 5 stars is not enough!! We rescued an aggressive Pitt and a few month later we rescued a Shepard mix. The 2 girls HATED each other! I was worried that we would have to give away the sweet Shepard or the Pitt, which we didnt want to do. Knowing that the Pitt would probably be put down, we started looking for training options. The two girls are now best friends. They play all day long! And my Pitt is much less aggressive. I figured it would take a year or more to get to this point. With Peters expertise, they were happy and playing together within 6 months. I am truly amazed how well Peter was able to read the dogs and give us the tips and skills to get them to where we are today! I cannot give him enough thanks and highly recommend him to everyone!

I’ve had two different trainers for my 16 mo old puppy Afghan & for some reason they think one size fits all! Not so with Pete! He listened to my issues with an unruly sighthound & gave me some awesome tips on how to handle her! She also has stress issues that he helped me with! It’s a slow process to watch her change but Pete was a true godsend! I can not recommend him enough! If you have a sensitive dog - Pete’s your guy! He has a gentle spirit himself & not for one moment did he make me feel stupid for any questions or for the many mistakes I made! Pete was great with my chocolate lab puppy. My dog was overly confident, stubborn, and sometimes aggressive. I was barely even able to eat dinner some nights because my house was complete chaos. But, after a couple of sessions things have totally changed. My dog now trusts me, and respects me. He was able to get her respect immediately, and taught me how to do the same. He also had a lot of good advice, which is continually improving my relationship with my dog. Pete was also really responsive over email. Our rescue boxer/pitbull mix (Lily) had leash aggression. We tried other trainers but couldnt get her to mind. She now loves to be called Good Girl . Peter was great. Wish we had found him soonerHe taught us a new way to work with her. She is now great on leash, off leash and learning new commands. I had an extremely stubborn Siberian Husky named Koda that was pulling on the leash, destroying items in the home and suffered from separation anxiety. By the end of our first lesson my kids were walking him on leash with ease! I was amazed at how easy the techniques were for us to learn and how successful they were in such a short period of time. Within a few weeks my dog was comfortable and at ease when we left him alone and the destruction has stopped completely!.Our dog is now much happier and we can enjoy him without frustration as part of our family. I needed to find a trainer that understood my dog breed. When I saw his two dogs on his website I knew he was the person I needed to intercede. Pete had done a remarkable turn around of my dog, Turks fear aggression behavior and I will give Peter 5 stars!!!

We adopted a 50lb 8 month Doberman puppy (quotations necessary bc shes the size of an adult dog already!). She had absolutely no calmness or discipline about her, and a 50 lb out of control puppy barreling through the house was no good for us, much less our neighbours and those we met on our walks or at the park. We have had only two training sessions, and Autumn our dog is already a different dog. She sits, waits, heels, leaves dogs/cats/bunnies, comes when calls, stops barking when commanded, plays fetch, doesnt jump and plays well with others big or small, human or canine alike! I cannot recommend this trainer enough.

Pete was available any time we asked for a visit and he always helped with the situation. So much of dog training is knowing what to do and when to do it. Pete made us the dog trainers and our dog learned what we needed her to learn.
