Gym is filthy. Literally dirt on the equipment and machines. Over half of the cardio equipment is broken. This place desperately needs an overhaul. Manager sprays cleaner throughout gym while I am working out. I have left the gym because its counterintuitive to breathe in toxins while exercising. Hes very friendly and does his best to keep it clean but he inherited it in this condition. It needs a professional team to come in and do an overnight clean. Great crowd. Friendly and stays to themselves.

Got a day pass for this gym and will be signing up for a membership next. Outstanding communication and service from the girl at the front desk. Very helpful and informative. The owner was even there and him and I engaged in a conversation He’s a great guy! I noticed staff disinfecting used sanitizer bottles and washing towels to help them stay open for the community. I’m so glad I decided to try this gym out.

I love this gym. It is small but has everything you need. Perfect for us that live in the country in Sutter County! No mask needed childcare and great customer service!

If you are looking for a cute sports club to sit and take modeling pics, this isnt the spot, its a little older of a building, but HEY. If you want to actually workout, theyve got the equipment, usually open to use. I havent experienced going there at much different times, it is at least less busy in the later evening/ night time. Child-care, classes, sauna, locker room with showers. Id say its slightly over priced for what it offers? But in this current economic state, its definitely worth it to be in a NORMAL ENVIRONMENT!! Such a stress reliever, life saver!Ive ran into some genuine kind people here who will actually remember you and say hi on multiple occasions and not just shrug you off like the people at the snazzy gyms. Haha who wants to suffocate and or workout outside on machines. We pay to workout inside NOT OUTSIDE we can always do that at home. LOL. Keep it up Fitness System. Ive also seen some comments about an owner, and heard there was a new owner now idk? Ive always had a great experience there!

Great owner. Super friendly. Spent some time talking to them while signing up. Active and there and very helpful. Noticed a machine was broken and instantly ran up to fix it. You wont regret it. Especially during covid.

To be upfront, this is not a health spa. It’s an old school bodybuilding-style gym. Tons of solid equipments, benches, plates, and heavy dumbbells(up to 150). No frills, and not shiny and new. But gets the job done!

Very Poor Experience. I needed to cancel and they told me to come in and sign paperwork to do so. I came in and did that. Then, I note that 3 months later, they are still dinging my credit card and even double billed me. I call them and they tell me to bring in the notice of cancellation. I tell them that they should have that in their system. They look and its there. I then tell them of all the overages and they tell me that I HAVE to come in again just to get the refund, that I must bring all my statements and the credit card in order to get all the overages refunded. I have been a business owner myself for 25 years and I have never required that of any client in order to get a proper refund. Very disappointed.

Place is awesome and doing its best to stay open for the health and well being of the community. Sounds like some of these 1 star idiots should try a big chain gym like 24 hour or maybe the villas

Its a shame that this location has been neglected by the new owner. The staff is not what it once was. The overall cleanliness is poor and becoming dilapidated. Advertised as 24 hours is misleading, can not open on time at 4am. I have been a member for over 3 years and have seen it when it was Golds gym and the service was outstanding. A damn same! If you are serious about fitness, you might want to explore the competition first.

I was charged a $25 late fee got late payment because my card was changed. I’ve been coming to the gym and no one told me anything. But today when I walk in the OWNER says “hey lady you owe the fee for July”. Okay? I guess I’m lady.. even though I’m sure the screen says my name. Andre the guy at the desk apologized for her.. but that’s not good enough. Then I was charged $64 instead of the $30 membership fee. Thanks for the heads up that I didn’t get. I should’ve canceled on site

I joined the gym when it was Golds and it was kind of run down and old. The new owner came in and brought new equipment and fixed it up really nice! The staff is friendly! I left a really nice stainless water bottle there by accident. The guy at the front desk called me and told me I left it. He said he saw me walk in with it and knew it was mine. It was so nice of him to go the extra mile and let me know.

Doing a good job of staying clean and safe

I lost my phone in Roseville but was able to track it to the outside of this gym. I went in to ask if anyone had seen it and was told no. HOWEVER two guys that were working out there went above and beyond and helped me look around outside and even let me use their iPhone to track mine. The guy at the front desk was SO awesome and helped me look as well! Their moms would be proud. So thank you, didnt get names 😒 But you guys were awesome.

No intimidation, no fancy frills. Exercise equipment, free weights, classes, a spin cycle room, and a lot of sweat. The music is current, the TVs are flat, the staff is friendly and helpful. Come in, work out, make new friends!

After a year hiatus, I wanted to re-join since I live across the street but this gym is so dirty and some of the equipment is in need of repair, I’m going to go elsewhere. And they are raising the dues in February.

I have been a long time member of Fitness Systems and Muscle System. I have had the great opportunity to workout at just about al of their gyms. The equipment is by far the best in town. If youre looking for a gym that is less than mediocre this one is not for you. I have read a review where a customer states Steve Mount is the owner. Thats false. Its too bad people make stories up. The owner is Steve Tresner. Steve is by far, the nicest on hands gym owner anyone will ever encounter. He shows up at different times of the day making sure customers are happy and staff are professional. The first time I worked out at Fitness System in 2005, Steve noticed a few of us had no clue what to do. He walked over and asked if we wouldnt mind him jumping in and working out with us.

What a disappointment, gym equipment is in dispair. The gym itself is filthy you won’t believe the locker room. The staff at this location? Well that’s up for debate. Tiffany was uncooperative made it very difficult to cancel the auto withdrawal membership. Be a patron at your own risk.I myself will be filing a complaint with the chamber of commerce against fitness systems in Lincoln CA.

The gym needs some love. Some of the equipment is pretty old. They DO NOT vacuum the gym floor very often. I was there today and it is pretty bad. When the new owner took over it was great, as of late not so much. There has been no water for several days, have to use a portable outside restroom. This is unacceptable under any circumstance.

Its a good gym but they seem to run out of towels a lot on weekday mornings.

We had some issues with closing some of my months when I deployed, but the folks here made a strong effort to come up with a solution for me and we came together on it. The equipment is varied enough to even get a good workout in at rush hour.

Anybody who treats customers as Ive heard he does, does not get my business. I have been looking into gym membership, as Ive suffered an injury and am unable to walk great distances as I was. I called, got a sketchy rundown ... no clear pricing and had even more questions after calling. Ill spend my money 11 miles away instead of 1... sad!!!!

The equipment is about as safe as a Walmart parking lot and never gets fixed. I’ve seen the owners treat their staff like garbage as well as members. Signed up for a 24 hour gym and it closes at 8 on Saturdays. Really... Blonde lady at desk always looks angry. On a positive note: the little blonde boy is the best worker and is always nice. Other than that I would overall not recommend this gym. Save $40 and go somewhere else.

Wanna let everyone know that i do not own that gym. Hi my name is Steven Mount and i moved to lincoln a year ago and work on base at Beale. I have traveled a lot and been to many workout facilities all over the world and trust me when i say that this gym is a wonderful place to get fit. Since i have moved here and been a member i have made many friends at the gym, both avid gym goers like me AND staff. I feel like some of the other reviews on here have unfortunately had bad experiences.... if thats the case then im sorry but others who may see these reviews... trust me, give it a chance. There is a guy there that works the late-late shift. Around 10pm. Do not know his name but is very rude. Complains to customers. Tell the customers why they are bothering him in a aggressive manner. Dont know why he is working there if he doesnt like his job.

There WAS a 2nd, 5-Star Review left by him on here until I updated mine mentioning his False-Reviews he had posted on here!*** I got a 1-year Contract w/ Golds Gym when this gym WAS Golds Gym, I then went for several months until my Dr. put me on a new medication that made me sedative, so I stopped going about 4-months in. The contract was for $20 a month w/ initiation fee and all that. Just last week I decide to go in and see Fitness Systems and if I am still on an account with them. As a matter of fact, I AM! In FACT, I already OWE them $44.95 for the past few months, but I can wipe that away by paying $20 right now. Cool, I give them my last $20 and they give me a membership-card and said I have until the 5th of Next month to give them a Credit/Debit Card to process, OR pay 3, 6, or 1-year in advance membership dues with no-strings. Awesome, I might just do the 3-month membership upfront because I hate contracts. So I was going for the last 5-days until I come in on a Monday night and some old-guy with an attitude-problem stops me from proceeding to my workout. He informs me that I need to give him a Credit card RIGHT Now and when I mention Ive already given him $20, he says that THAT was for the PAST dues, but that didnt make me a current member. I tell him that is not the info I was given, and feel a little bit insulted by the old-farts tone. I then ask him how much is monthly membership fee, and he says, since youre an old-member, $25. But for new members its $40. Ive never had ANY problem at this gym before, so I figure that maybe hes just having a bad night and give him my card infomation now so I can workout instead of waiting and paying them 3-months upfront. So this guy never says anything like, sorry for the misunderstanding or something. Nothing.. I found his behavior very unbecoming of a business owner, as I later confirmed that he was the owner, and it doesnt surprise me because most employees would never treat another person like that if they value their jobs. I finish my workout and go home to retrieve my Original Contract for Golds Gym which I assumed they had purchased from them and were still honoring SINCE I was already being CHARGED BY THEM for ALREADY being a member there! I come back in and wait to be seen by the owner again for which I now know his first name is, Steve and tell Steve that Im contracted to only be charged $20 a month for at least another 2-months. No biggie, right? WRONG!!! Look, every member pays either $25 for coming in earlier or $39 for coming in now per month, if you want to go to Golds Gym then you can drive-out to their Citrus Heights location (which is about a 30-minute drive) and go there if you want to pay $20 a month. Oh really? How can I do that seeing as I ALREADY gave you my last $20 for, Past-membership Dues that I APPARENTLY DID NOT EVEN authorize! I assumed they were going off my old-contract but I guess they were just going off of whatever they felt like making up at the time to get you to come in and give them Your money! During this whole time, I did not raise my voice, use foul or unbecoming language, or do anything to cause a scene BECAUSE I workout there! After asking a few more questions trying to get to the bottom of how they decided that I owed them $44.95 to begin with that I paid off in agreement with them at $20 and why did they do that if they were not following the original contract because I never signed-up with Fitness Systems?!?! Before I could get another word-out, I get the proverbial, We have the right to refuse service to anyone and Im not trying to argue. Im NOT either, Im just trying to get to the bottom of.. OK then, were done. Your membership is canceled! Good-bye! and just THAT fast is how I lost $20 to greedy Steven Mount of Fitness Systems of Lincoln, Ca! What a sad little-man Steve must be, for someone who is as Old and as past his prime as he is, youd think he would have learned to be a Gentleman by now :P

A few times they didn’t even have it unlocked or anyone working there early in the morning before I go to work. Ruins my routine.

Every week there’s someone who either doesn’t show is super late and thats the start of 4am shift so people are there early to workout before work but they get robbed of that because ignorant employees that work here.

My kind of gym. Free weights, large selection of work out equipment and never packed. Friendly staff too!!

Customer service: RUDE younger guy at front desk is abrupt and blunt. Too bad it is not the customer service you would expect at a gym that costs $40 a month.
